Really helps my dry skin and eczema
One of the best creams I've found for dry skin and ezcema on my hands. It really helps especially if you live and work in environments with heaters or air conditioners which dry out the skin.

Product does more harm then good
i've brought and used 4 bottles of this product throughout the past few years in hope that the product would actually work, and strangely enough it does the opposite of what you would expect, the cream causes skin to dry up and crack further, causing those who use the product to be forced to rely on the cream to stop the pain, that was further escalated by the Cream,
The cream drys the skin up further forcing you to have to buy more of the product with a endless cycle that soaks up your money
Product doesn't rehydrate skin and acute irritation and the relief is very minimal.

Worse Than Using No Cream At All
I was given a sample of Dermaveen Sensitive Relief Eczema Cream to try and I started using it recently.
This is supposed to be free of all the 'nasties' but my scratching was worse after applying the cream.
I tried several times but got the same results and my hands ended up raw and bleeding.
I have gone back to using Cortisone Cream prescribed by my GP which works.
Purchased in December 2021.

I am so grateful I bought this cream
I purchased this cream because I had never tried it before and my dermatitis was so itchy and irritated. I had been taking antihistamines daily for over a week and was using every eczema/dermatitis product I had at home for some relief. Nothing was helping and I felt like clawing my skin off.
Then I used Dermaveen’s Eczema Cream and I haven’t looked back. It is really soothing and so very moisturising. My rash is no longer irritated or itchy and my legs have not felt this soft ever! When my rash has finally completely gone, I will continue to use this cream to keep the skin on my legs hydrated.
I really love this cream! And it’s very reasoably priced so that’s another positive!!!

The BEST thing i have used for Psoriasis
I have had Psoriasis since I was born. It flares up now and again. I have tried loads of products, probably spent thousands on product that "claims" to help.
I thought I would try this at only $9, it wasn't going to break the bank.
I am pleasantly surprised, the Psoriasis Scales on my legs were real bad. 2 weeks in of using this product daily and it has reduced by literally a third. No itching, no so red - brilliant.
I cannot understand why people say it "burns" their skin, it is ideal for sensitive skin - my skin is very sensitive - I have had no reaction to it.
If I could give is more stars - I would.
*I have no affiliation with the company and this is no paid review - this is genuine!

Burnt my skin
Bought this product yesterday thinking that it’s going to work fine for my sensitive skin on my hands. As it only has 3 active ingredients (phenoxyethanol, oatmeal, and sorbic acid) I was very eager to try it out. I got home and put it on and within 2 minutes my hands had flared up and were itching and burning. Will not be purchasing this product or any other product with Phenoxyethanol again for my sensitive skin.

Very bad rash and bad customer service
Our baby had a very bad rash called darmaveen customer service and they said they can’t do anything we have to call the pharmacy and they didn’t even care. Never buying any of their products again.

Winter Itch
The only eczema I get is Winter Itch. This year it was particularly bad and I tried many products including Hope's Relief which was an absolute waste of money. DermaVeen Eczema Lotion - sensitive relief - left a film on my skin which I thought was strange but at least it wasn't greasy like so many others (not nice putting fresh clothes over greasy skin). Rather than sting, this product was a relief and it didn't take long for the redness to recede and the itch to stop and go away. I would only use it to control an outbreak though, not to prevent it. This product was great for me.

Very soothing
I have really intense eczema, and once forgot my steroid creams on holidays so I bought this products. I only find certain steroid creams clear my eczema, avoiding achohol and cutting down on gluten! I found this cream to Bev soothing but didn’t take my eczema away. Wasn’t long lasting, had to reapply a few times a day to help with stinging. But yes very soothing!

Its great if you get a tube version
I have tried numerous creams and lotions to relieve itchiness and mild eczema symptoms, and this has been one of the best creams I've got from pharmacy. What I find funny about this brand is that a tube one works a lot better than the one in a tub (250mL). I thought it would be economical to buy this tub than a smaller tube, however I noticed difference in hydration quality and 'oiliness' of the cream. I would recommend getting a tube than a tub if you don't want extra oily/greasy feeling that I felt with a tub. Definitely a good cream overall.

Horrible! Cream
I had eczema some part of my body . I knew this product which i can see most of shops ( Coles etc) . I had been dealing with terrible itchy so i bought it and started using it. Few days later, specially my neck got worse; it became red, pain, sting, lumps. My neck is so stingy pain.
Terrible cream. I shouldn't have used it . Got worse. I can imagine how little kids deal with this even im an adult, its hard to me to deal with this pain. People who have eczema, be careful to use this cream.

On a 6 month old baby's face! Disgusted! He screamed putting it on and it's made it worse!
Doesn't work on eczema!!! This is by far the worst reaction on my 6 month old baby's face! When trying to treat a small section of dry skin on face, following 2 days of Applying,, his face is red blotchy, scaly, like pimples, itchy and inflamed! Becareful when testing this product on young baby's!!! Don't make my mistake.

Not good for kids
I used this product with my 3 years old girl, and it resulted very bad. The skin is so red and broken. Thus I read the product description and it contains Benzyl alcohol which may cause my kid' skin got worse. I think this product is not suitable for kid who has eczema.

The only thing besides Cortisone that worked
My young son has a stubborn patch of eczema on his hand. Nothing worked aside from cortisone to clear it. But of course it flared up again as soon as we stopped cortisone treatment, every time. In lieu of steroid creams I tried sorbolene, paw paw ointment, QV flare up cream, you name it. Either they did nothing (paw paw), or made the skin angrier (QV cream).
Finally doc suggested DermaVeen sensitive Eczema Cream. My expectations were super low, but we gave it a shot.
It took the redness right out - after about 2 days there was a REALLY ...Read more
noticeable difference. I couldn't believe it. We are still using it weeks later, several times a day. It isn't the miracle cure that cortisone cream is, but it also isn't harsh and steroidal either. It's keeping the eczema nicely at bay without the worry of side effects. I'm really happy with it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Broke me out
Bought it to help moisturise the dry patches caused by eczema on my hands but it only broke me out and made my eczema worse. Has a nice and natural oatmeal smell and felt nice on the skin. Shame it didn't work for me.

Great cream
Happened to chance upon this cream whilst at he most warehouse and decided to give it a try since no other creams were working and I didn't want to use steroid creams.
I have an eczema patch on my elbow and also on my eye. Tried the cream on both areas and must say that it is totally moisturised and has stopped the itching. I can't say that I've had any stinging sensation at all compared with some of the previous reviews... I have been using this for only one day and the cream seems to have settled down the itching and the dryness as well.
Will definetely be applying this as much during the day as I can! Would highly recommend.

ITCH AND STING
I cant stand this product i brought it for my daughter who suffers from mild eczema and like may reviewers she screamed and cried saying it hurt her!
I tried it on a patch of eczema that i have and holy poo it stung me so much and made the area feel more itchy then before i applied the cream! It made me feel so guilty for putting it on my daughter and this cream is not cheap!
This is not a product I would use or reccommend to anyone especially if they were putting it on their child!

Stings!
This came highly recommended by the guy at the chemist warehouse so I bought it although I would only buy an all natural product. I put it on and it stung and was more itchy than before. Money back please.

Saved us from using medications
My GP recommended we use his product on our baby for his bad eczema. She wanted us to try this before giving us steroid cream. Although skeptical at first we tried it and within 3 days his eczema was nearly gone.

What is the PH of dermaveen oatmeal shampoo

Wyanda L.asked
Would this product work when you suffer from pruritus?
1 answer
I doubt it Wyanda because it contains Phenoxyethanol which is a preservative with some nasty side effects.
Phenoxyethanol is used as a preservative in cosmetic products and also as a stabilizer in perfumes and soaps. Exposure to phenoxyethanol has been linked to reactions ranging from eczema to severe, life-threatening allergic reactions. Infant oral exposure to phenoxyethanol can acutely affect nervous system function.
Go to www.safecosmetics.org for more info about Phenoxyethanol.
Perhaps a visit to a good Dermatologist would be advisable but see your GP first:-)

I applied Dermaveen cream to my face it stung my skin and I woke up it is way worse ?

I use my cream mostly to help eczema on my hands, so I'm not sure about face - if your face reacts to the cream, do not use it again!
I didnt particularly love dermaveen myself. QV cream will always be my go to, i used it on my face for awhile when my skin reacted badly to most products. Now im using paulas choice on my face, and body shop hemp cream. But yea, i had a similar reaction to. It didnt sting me, but it defs didnt hydrate my skin very well and left my eczema feeling worse and dry skin.
Tried dermaveen cream on my face when exma had settled down, but it still stung and caused redness so I only use it on my hands now. Was pretty disappointed with cream, it sounded good but is not for sensative skin. Am still looking for cream that is safe to use long term unlike Dermaide 0.5% hydrocortisone that works really well but can only be used for more then one to two weeks at a time.
