Communication very poor
Ordered 2 items online. Received tracking email to say order on way. Only 1 item arrived. Contacted Digi Direct by phone, and was advised 2nd item "in stock but probably at another location" I asked when delivery would be and told " maybe this week, or possibly next week" So we have "Probably" "Maybe" "Possibly" Surely I should have been advised that only part of order being delivered and a more positive response to when the rest of the order is being dispatched/delivered. Not impressed will think before recommending or using again.

Excellent Service
I was looking to buy a Sigma Art f/1.4 105mm lens recently which digiDirect had listed for more than $500 less than competitors like Ted's, Georges, etc. I was immediately suspicious about it being a grey market import and was hesitant due to the numerous terrible reviews here. After being given assurance from both digiDirect and CR Kennedy & Co that it was locally sourced I made the purchase. The lens arrived two days later. Unlike competitors all of my queries received prompt responses and I am very happy with the service I received.

Horrible service, unreliable
Bought a HRPC hard case for an upcoming job, delivery was listed in under 48h's, I paid and never received an emailed receipt of purchase, nor any tracking info. Contacted Digidirect, they told me they have had computer problems so they couldn't send my receipt?? I asked them to track my order as it had been three days, they then told me they were out of stock??? Why wasn't this listed on the site?? I needed the case that week not weeks later, keep in mind I had to contact them they didnt even bother to reach out .. Bad inconsiderate seller, don't waist your time

Excellent Service
After placing an online order for a Sony A6400 with Georges Cameras and being given the run around and was sent a display model which I sent back I waited for almost a month because they said they were waiting for stock I ended up canceling my order and ordered from Digi Direct. Worst online customer service ever.
Avoid buying online from this store at all costs. So this is what happened: before placing my online order I confirmed that item was in stock and my payment method was accepted: Amex Gold International, they replied yes to both. I was charged in full but Digidirect said they needed to send a second transaction (aprox 1aud) to my credit card, AFTER I was already charged in full ($1700aud). My bank statement would not show this small transaction. After around 10 days and multiple phone calls, I was issued I refund, they said it was a system error...Read more
on their side. Even though I got my money back it was such a waste of time. I lost about $15 duo to conversion rates on payment/refund. The verification process is something that is required when our automated system detects a discrepancy - you mention currency conversion which implies an overseas credit card, that's likely why it was triggered in this case. Verification is only required on a minority of orders. This is one of the first times I've heard of an error in the verification process, I'm very sorry about that. The verification procedure is in place to protect customers from fraudsters who may have compromised their credit card. I'm very sorry that it went awry in this case, although I hope you can appreciate why it is a necessary step in some instances. Responsive, great prices and quick delivery
Struggled to find a Sony E 50mm 1.8 OSS from any stores in Australia. Placed orders with two other camera stores who said they had it in stock to only find out later that they didn’t. Spoke to digidirect via their online chat who confirmed that they had it in stock. Placed the order at 11am and the package was dispatched that afternoon. Package arrived less than two days later and the lens is as expected. Easy transaction and they were the cheapest I could find (without going for a grey import). Very happy, cheers!

our automated system flags the order. In this case we have to complete the verification process, which is very fast. We email you the details of the process and ask for customer consent before proceeding. Once consent is received we place (and immediately refund) a charge under $0.50. All the customer needs to do is check their account and tell us how much exactly the charge was, which verifies that the customer indeed is the owner of the credit card account. Then we remove the hold and proceed as normal. The whole process generally takes about 5 minutes. However, if you choose not to proceed we can certainly offer a refund, that's no problem. You can simply respond to one of your emails from us requesting that and the online team will oblige. My go to online store for camera accessories
I have been buying from Digidirect for a couple of years now without any problems.
I recently bought an Olympus Pro 40-150mm lens for $1119.45 which is considerably cheaper then other stores. Received my purchase promptly and good email communications but don't expect immediate replies. Before this, I bought some drone items before Xmas one year without any problems. In fact they were quite helpful with our enquiries. I have a couple of camera hoods on order now and when I log into my account it looks like they are waiting on stock to come in but that's quite normal when buying from online stores.

Bought an item through their eBay store, received the item, but change my mind. I packed it well and sent it back to them. blocked me from watching any item from their store, add any items to the shopping cart, cannot even contact the seller to ask any questions about the item.

No Response
I was looking to buy a camera, sent a check stock request twice from the website, no response, so spent my $2500 elsewhere. When looking into a future purchase I always see Digidirect in the search results but have never purchased, this time I though I would give them a go. It's a shame the advertising spend is going to waste or maybe they are too busy to provide service to customers, maybe i dodged a bullet.

Exceptional Service
After recently purchasing a lens from DigiDIRECT I decided to get a tripod collar for it.
Checked with them to make sure it was in stock then placed an order.
Ordered 1:00 PM Monday and received delivery 10:00AM Tuesday. This is only 21HOURS!!
Additionally both the lens and collar were the lowest Aust prices I could find and the delivery Free (over $100).
By contrast, the local B&M store did not return my calls.
This is a genuine review. I have no connection whatsoever with DigiDIRECT.

Dispatch and delivery are poor
After confirming the item was in stock I ordered online, order was approved 1044 am Wed, but wasn't picked up by Auspost until Friday afternoon (ANZAC day was in the middle tbf). Two working days to get an order to Auspost is not great, I am used to items being dispatched same day. Obviously they choose to use Auspost, which as to be the worst courier service. zac Day (as you state). Many of our shipments do go out the same day, but that is not always possible. It was picked up on the Friday and delivery was attempted the following Thursday, which is 5 business days in transit (counting the initial Friday). Granted, that's not Australia Post's fastest turnaround time considering the distance covered (VIC to ACT), but it is not outside of their delivery guidelines. Quality is the issue. Bought a lens which was defective on delivery but I was not offered a replacement. I was instead told to take it up with manufacturer. The manufacturer repaired the lens instead of replacing despite saying to me they would replace it. When I complained to digiDirect about the repair, they essentially said, it’s not our business, take it up with the manufacturer, effectively, disowning the problem. Thanks for your support. Now I have to raise a complaint with Fair Trading as I believe the lens had a major defect.

Our web team member Chandra immediately called the supplier to get an update and responded to your email within 7 minutes of you sending it, advising an updated ETA of later the following week. On Tuesday of this week your item arrived in store for pickup. You both received an email about this and you and I also had a direct discussion on Facebook about this because you messaged us about it. As you know, the item has been available for pickup for the past 3 days, since 2 days before you wrote this review. You did email us last week saying that if the item didn't arrive by a certain date this week that you wanted a refund. However the item arrived and we had our discussion, at which point you seemed content to pick it up and didn't pursue the refund, so it wasn't executed. Expensive products that never arrive
If you went to a restaurant and all the food was rotten and when you complained you were told "that's because of our supplier" you would not accept that as an excuse. I ordered a new Canon telephoto lens online and this was delivered to me exactly 48 hours later! I did have to complete the credit card check, probably due to the price of the lens, but this was quick and easy - just an email asking for me to confirm a small charge to my card (which was reversed), I emailed the confirmation and super fast I had a reply saying my order was now being processed. Again super fast and email to say it had been dispatched. Arrived well protected in additional packing to the canon box. I could not be happier with this service. My new go to photography store. :)

After checking the availability of two camera accessories which were advertised as being part of their Boxing Day sales, I placed an order on 26/12/18 using their on-line facility, and paying for the items using PayPal. shipment left did list it as a "Partial Dispatch", but it certainly could have been more clear. As for the item, it is no longer available for sale in Australia, we've checked that a number of times with the supplier. Sometimes there are regional differences here, it may still be available in the States but is no longer being brought here by the supplier, etc - these are decisions made by distributors.
