This is a good bottle for newborns. The teat allows the milk to flow easily without bubbles forming. This helps reduce colic. The mL can be easily seen, making it easier for filling the bottle to the desired amount. There are too many pieces to wash so can be a hassle. Also, when the lid is screwed on and you place the bottle in hot water (to warm milk), sometimes the milk flows through the inner pieces and leak out the sides - not sure why! But this doesn't happen often. Overall a recommended product for newborns.
Anti-colic, easy to feed baby, mL easily visible
Leaks easily through the teat and sometimes where the lid is screwed on, too many pieces

I love the Dr. Brown's bottles! However I would stick to the plastic ones after the first 5 months. I had an instance where the glass one was thrown out of the car when I opened the door. Let's say I don't have that one any more!
They were inexpensive and very great bottle

Quite good, but I wouldn't say that it prevents wind completely. Babies still need to burp, but I find they are just harder to burp with these. As a mum with twins, the extra time and fiddliness of washing them makes me reach for a different bottle until there are no other left on the rack.
They seem to be smooth for baby drinking so they don't seem to gulp down air.
They are really fiddly to wash and assemble. You need to give detailed instructions if anyone is feeding baby for you as most people havenot seen / used them before.

They don't fit into my microwave steamer which is a pain. They are too tall and have to sit at 45 degrees.

I brought these bottles for my daughter, after being on Avent since birth ahe has severe reflux and i got these as there meant help... so far i dont think they have helped at all.
Good size bottle, makes sure no air bubble go into teat
To many pieces to wash and clean, can only buy it in certain places

For the environmentally conscious these bottles are fantastic. Not only do they work a treat for the windy baby but they are way more hygenic as they are made from glass.
I did not microwave to sterilize due to the possible release of toxins in the microwave so we hand washed all parts in hot water and air dryed from week 4.
I would definately suggest to use these bottles regardless of the fidly bits.
glass, easy to use, more environmentally friendly
expensive, fidly to clean but you get use to it

I've loaned these to friends and family, who have loved them and started using them too. They all now recommend them to their friends. They are fantastic... you have to try them to understand why they are so good.
Brilliant. All bottles claim to reduce wind, these actually do. These bottles are very different to the others. We had lots of Avent, which we now just use as storage bottles for expressed milk and use Dr Brown's... they are fantastic.
More expensive.... but worth every cent.

we bought these bottles at the baby expo.you can buy them off the internet as well. For babies with colic they work really well.If you loosen the bottle a bit when heating, the milk wont rise up and overflow.I wouldnt go back to the old style of bottle after using these.
best bottles you can buy for colic, also the plastic is safe, unlike a lot of cheap bottles on the market
yes, they are a lot more work, because of the bits and pieces, but this is overlooked by the way they work.

It was awful watching my baby suffer from wind. I had read that the Dr Brown's bottles were the best so I thought I'd give them a go. They definitely reduced the amount of wind and I'm currently still using them. I give them a high recommendation.
The Dr Brown's bottles definitely reduce wind. They are made from good quality materials.
They are quite expensive and not many places sell them. I got mine from Toys R Us. They are a bit more fiddly to clean and assemble but after a bit of practice you get good at it.

Great product, would recommend to any parent wanting to bottle feed. My cousin and sister are now using the Dr Brown bottles after using other bottles and both swear they have different babies, as both babies suffered with wind.
Everything! Great bottle, my daughter loves it. The flow is appropriate for babies so no air bubbles are being swallowed, therefore no upset bellies.
More pieces to wash, yet i don't mind the added washing if iv got a happy baby!

These bottles are made of a good quality and appear to help when you have a baby suffering from colic. I switched over to these from Advent bottles and while it is hard at times to tell if it was the bottles that did the trick, our baby did eventually get better. The bottles can be a bit pricey but they do last well.
Appear to be better than a lot of other bottles.
They can be tricky to clean but do come with a special cleaning brush. The bottles do come with a few bits which can be annoying.

We use these often, but have to buy them in large amounts as they're not avalible in supermarkets or anywhere within half an hour of us! Bub loves them though, so worth every cent!
Because of the construction they stop the baby gasping large amounts, the flow is well controlled and thus the product was able to reduce the wind our baby was getting from bottle feeding.
Fiddly! A bit of extra time to take apart and put back together, but worth it if the baby is suffering colic or wind. A little more expensive than some of the supermarket brands, but worth it.

I have a question. What is the difference between narrow, standard and wide neck bottles? Which one is more suitable for a newborn?

Hi Paris
The narrow neck is slim bottle. Wide neck bottle is similar size Avent bottle, it's easy to clean and no leaking after use.
Both can use for new born baby with low flow teat. Hopes this can help you :)

The 4oz fit more than 6 bottles vertically but the 8oz you need to put them horizontally and can fit up to 5 8oz bottles.

Hello, I've been using them since my oldest daughter was born, I bought them because she was having colic, after I used them with my other 2 daughters and they didn't had any issue with colic and reflux.
I recommend this bottles 100% and if you can get some one to buy them for you on USA and bring them will be better as there the difference on price is huge.
