Great bike, great price, best looking electric bike.
Great bikes at a very good price relative to other electric bike brands. I've had the Hard Tail Evo for over a year now and use it every weekday for my commute to work. Its a bit of an investment, but only about a years worth of public transport fees, and I'd rather be on a bike than a tram any day! A normal bike wasn't a great option for me because I'd work up a sweat in 5 mins, which I don't want heading into work. Everybody likes the look of the Hard Tail Evo too. The way the battery is mounted looks a lot better than other e bikes. Good battery life, no problems after a year of daily use.
Purchased in May 2021.

Complements my lifestyle as a retiree...
I'd been researching eBikes for some time. Living 5 kms from town... and 5 kms from the beach, I was starting to find the hilly terrain a little difficult at 70... and a 15% discount through RACWA meant I gave the Dyson Hard Tail Evo a second look. So glad I did.
At first glance, the DHT presents as a practical, masculine machine in matt black... a "mean machine" my adult son calls it. To a great extent that somewhat 'macho' appearance deflects any perceptions of 'cheating' or slurs on old age. It's interesting to note that since purchase, ...Read more
I've used our cars and motorcycles very rarely, perhaps twice in the last two months.* This eBike comes with easy-to-read electrics, six power levels... and reasonably quick charging. I'm achieving over 80 kms per charge, at a cost of around 13c. On full power (6), I recently managed to exceed 25 kph for much of the ride to town, covering the 6 kms to the supermarket in 14 minutes(!) Above that speed, electric assist cuts out, in theory meaning I can actually go faster, further. Panniers mean I can carry most of the week's groceries from shops and the farmers' market in large Ortleib panniers. Pluses include robust construction, a comfortable ride, and semi-knobbly tyres (although this is not a mountain bike); the latter enabling rails-to-trails riding to wineries and restaurants. It's important to keep pedalling when approaching a significant bump. The chain has come off twice when I didn't remember to keep the pressure on. Refitting took just seconds. I've requested Dyson to consider a smaller version of the Dyson Hard Tail. My wife likes the concept, but is too vertically-challenged for the DHT. Hopefully the company may consider manufacturing this eBike in a slightly smaller version... . * ... and one of those times was to transport the eBike to a service centre for a free(!) scheduled service.Similar opinion? what height person would the Mixte rtc suit

The Mixte was actually inspired when my wife couldn't ride my Dyson Hard Tail some years ago. Dyson kindly re-engineered the Hard Tail, to suit her height and weight, etc(!) How's that for personal service?!~
My wife is 152 cms, or 5"3".

Hi Alison, the bike will suit shorter riders from about 145cm up to 170cm. However, if you can try one that is the best way to see if the bike will suit you. Where are you located? Thanks Dave Dyson Bikes
