Expensive, but saves so much time

We bit the bullet on this hairdryer after all the hype. With a few people in our household with long hair, this has proven to be a significant timesaver in drying long hair (or short hair). It is quiet compared to normal hair dryers but so much power! We are so happy that we purchased another for our parents.

Best Christmas gift

Very powerful hairdryer.
Lightweight and very fast results.
I have long hair this hairdryer can dry my hair in 2 minutes.
The magnetic attachments are awesome so is the rubber mat.
I’ve got the promo Dyson hair brushes they are great.
Would buy again it is a premium product, but well worth the money as. It saves a lot of time.

Quick and effortless!

Buying this hair dryer was a great decision. It heats up so quickly and dries my hair fast. I have thick curly hair and this does the job in 20 minutes or less! Would recommend using with a paddle brush for hair like mine to best dry it. Only issue would be how long it takes to cool down again, but you leave it out for 10-15 mins and it’s good to put away! Love this hairdryer.

Not quite worth the money

This hair dryer is great. But it’s not $500 great. It’s actually heavier than my current one. I have really really long hair and bought it because it says it will dry hair faster than a regular dryer - a process which takes me 20-30 mins as is. I thought I might get 10-12 mins back. Not the case at all. It takes the same time but does feel like it’s less harsh on my hair.

An amazing product

The Dyson hairdryer, dries my short style haircut in less than 3.5 minutes. There’s no more frizzy bits. My hair is so straight, it looks like I’ve just straightened it. My previous ionic hairdryer took 5 minutes to dry my hair and then 3 minutes to straighten it. Highly recommend this hairdryer to anyone wanting to spend less time on their hair. It’s so much quieter compared to any hairdryer I have previously used and so lightweight too. I love it!!

Love it!!

Love the Dyson hairdryer, it's so lightweight and quiet. I was used to having bulky hair dryers that took up lots of room. The Dyson is small and compact but powerful, looks gorge too! Love it!!

The only thing is - occasionally when I switch it on, it doesn't come on and I have to fiddle with it before it turns on! for the money, you'd expect it to work with no problems.

Other than that, I love!!

Dries my colored hair in half the time

The first thing I noticed was how quickly my hair was drying when using the Dyson Hair Dryer as opposed to a different brand. The different attachments allow me to play with different styles, and I primarily use the smoothing attachment with a brush. The result is a smooth, bouncy blowout.

My natural color is brunette, however, I had my hair dyed significantly lighter (almost blonde). The Dyson does not dry out or harm my color-treated hair and makes it look like I just came out of a salon!

Not worth the price tag

The only pro I could think of is the sound of the hairdryer. It’s not loud and noisy.
But outcome wise, other hairdryers could do a better job for way less money. Nothing special. I wished I could sell it off.

Fast drying

This is a powerful hair dryer!! It comes with a stand and a few different attachments. It's easy to use and hold. It is expensive so if you aren't too fussed on how you style your hair, I don't think its worth the money.

This helped to save my over-bleached hair

I thought I’d be a bit extra and treat myself to the Dyson Supersonic, and although $500 is a lot of money for a hairdryer I can tell you that it was worth every single cent.

I got mine with the stand and attachments and it is just so beautifully designed, if you’re a beauty and tech geek then you’ll be in heaven.

When you feel the airflow quality you’ll wonder how you ever dried your hair with anything else, the machine regulates its’ temperature constantly so it never over-heats.

If you’re still deciding but know that you’re close to pulling the trigger, do it. Combined with high quality haircare, it is a life changer.

Dries faster than my tears after a sad emotional movie

different drier attachments make precise blow wave styles and part hair perfectly, one passing action over a wet surface and the straight and heat almost dries it perfectly in one pass.different strength and heating modes for any wet dry time solution. Dyson powered motors and EQUIPTMENT are always built to perfection and can uphold extended use at a time,it litteraly dries the moisture that my mouth is exhaling whilst I'm in jaw droppinastonished at how much in electric terms the brand the logo the company make all the difference own a lot of Dyson products and some may be expensive but in the end they last and are worth investment.

Not worth the $450

This hairdryer is good. It takes the same amount of time to dry my (very very long) hair but it dries it to the point of what I would call ‘bone dry’. However, it is heavier than my previous hairdryer and 10x the price. Literally. I wouldn’t say it was 10 x faster or 10x drier so I wouldn’t recommend paying the price. $250 would be an okay price but for all the hype and price tag, it just doesn’t measure up.

Great Product

Bought this for my partner and getting ready has never been quicker. Fastest hair drying product on the market. Multiple heat and velocity settings so you get a tailored hair experience.

Lightweight and decent hair dryer

A hairdryer we always wanted, finally able to get one at special. Decent hairdryer, very lightweight compared to our other old fashioned ones, resulted in softer hair after drying, did reduce the drying time but not by much. Dyson should reduce the RRP a little given there are others out there at fraction of the cost. But you are buying a Dyson, so you are paying for cutting edge engineering and design.

Our second hair dryer to die just outside warranty

Overall, these hair dryers are fantastic and I also recently purchased my wife the hair wand. However we have just had our second Dyson hair dryer die just outside warranty (14 months). Just to clarify the word die... it works for approx 2 mins then shuts off. Filter is cleaned regularly. Extremely disappointed given the cost and the fact that it is only used for general household use for no more than 15-20 mins a day. When they are new they are fantastic but not built to last sadly and do not represent good value.

Became a brick 60 days out of warranty, Dyson stood behind the quality

Early failure after warranty. Dyson stood behind their product. Very impressed with the service. The unit failed, they paid return costs and are replacing the unit with a new 6 month warranty!

The fastest and quietest hair dryer - worth it!

The price tag is daunting but I was given a voucher and decide to pull the pin. My husband has complained about the noise of every other hair dryer I’ve owned, and I have THICK hair so the time It took to dry didn’t help that.
My favourite bits:
FAST, light (arm doesn’t wear out), the cord doesn’t twist/tangle (a miracle), and the easy store stand negates the need for a draw to shove it in or a random hook somewhere.
My least fav bits:
I’m clutching at straws here but sometimes it takes a second to turn on.
In summary: Would. Recommend.
Now to save for the curler (I’m scared to try it as I’m scared how much I’ll like it- i mean, if a company can make vacuuming sexy they probably know what they are doing)

Heavenly

My hair usually takes 45 mins to an hour to dry (I use a round brush for a bouncy blowdry), but with this dryer, it literally takes 30 mins IF so long! I'm amazing at how soft my hair feels, different to using other hairdryers. I don't like to use a lot of heat either because I have bleached hair, and it just works perfect!

I love this hairdryer!

This is by far the best hair dryer I have ever owned. It dries my hair within no time and I love how the attachments are magnetic. The hair dryer also comes with a hanging loop for easy storage and a heat proof mat and travel case. I love how I am able to dry my hair without having to worry about heat damage. I cannot live without my dryer.

Hairdryer of my dreams.

This hairdryer does everything I ever dreamed that a hairdryer could do. My hair takes forever to dry on its own, and every other dryer I have tried has taken so long to do the job that my arthritic hands and wrists have simply given up. Not so with the Dyson! Having the motor in the handle means I have no problem holding it up, and it is so fast and efficient anyway, that my hair is dry in no time, with no damage done. No more long hair dragged into the motor and singed! Well done, Dyson!

Pricy, but the wife loves it

I bought this for my wife and she loves it. Theres a wow factor here that you dont get with other products.

Certainly one of the biggest conveniences is the ability to magnetically connect additional attachments - I dont know what they do yet, but they are certainly very easy to put on and off and much easier than her old hair dryer.

The build quality is excellent, as with other Dyson products, and the design has been thought out very thoroughly. Its also much more portable than other hair dryers Ive seen.

If you have the money and desire for this hair dryer, go for it. If youre money conscious then this is not the product for you, but there are plenty of other options on the market which are less expensive and will get the job done.
