Great value
It's a really good dryer at a great price. We purchased the 5.5kg model...it's a perfect size for us and fits nicely in our laundry. The dryer is quiet and we are so happy we got the one with a sensor...it turns off automatically when it senses the clothes are dry.

2nd one dead in 6 months
What's going on with quality control Electrolux? In the last 3 years, 4 driers with very little use have failed. I originally purchased a EDV5051 from Masters. It was delivered DOA and replaced the next day. It's replacement lasted just under a year and Electrolux upgraded me to the newer more reliable model. The first EDV5552 lasted 6 months and the replacement let go yesterday with only a few weeks use. That's a whopping 4 driers in 3 years! The final straw was being told be the local service agent that's only 39 minutes away that we're simply too far away to service! Electrolux say sorry but they can't help. You've lost me as a customer.

Can’t live without it
After my dryer died one day it was time to purchase another one. We found the Electrolux at Bing Lee and we’re blown away by the price. Using it the first time was fantastic! I couldn’t get over how quiet the dryer was! I would recommend this dryer to anyone.

Good value for money
This is the first dryer we’ve owned. Very happy with it so far. I’m glad we bought a dryer with a sensor. It’s great that the dryer automatically finishes the program when it senses that the clothes are dry. Only complaint is that it creates a LOT of humidity and condensation in our laundry, even with the window open. We currently have it front-venting but will explore the rear-venting option.

Affordable, yet a good sensor dryer for the money
This is a really nice sensor dryer which I use twice a week in average. This does a pretty good job and the sensor works well as well. Use the dryer balls sold for few additional bucks, but that does a great job by reducing the time by a lot. It fits well in the regular laundries and make sure to use a exhausting fan or keep a window open when the dryer runs. The energy star rating are not that great, but fine for someone uses once or twice a week.

Good Dryer
Pretty happy with this dryer, given that it is at the lower end of the market price wise. We looked at heat pump and condenser dryers but just could not justify the cost. You do need to vent the dryer as a lot of moisture is generated with it being a vented dryer (no more than any other). But it is simple to to use, it is very very easy to clean the filters (something which makes a big difference to me) and it's not too heavy.

Good dryer
I bought this product with my washing machine from the Goodguys, thanks to the patient and professional staff at the store who recommended it to me, as I had no idea about the good dryer. This dryer working very well for us, for the small family. Dry the clothes well, and good price as well.

Extremely happy with this purchase!
I purchased this model as it was pretty much the cheapest drier you could get that had both a dry sensor and a low and normal heat setting. It was to replace an ancient Hoover drier that was long past it's replacement date.
Have had it now for about a month and have to say I am very impressed with it so far. The drier is quiet, and the sensor is 90% accurate.
It can get a little confused if it is a mixed load (T-shirts & jeans) as it will turn off and the jeans can be a tiny bit damp, but with similar material types in one load it works perfectly.
So far it has been a very good purchase.

Does what is asked of it
We only use a drier on occasions to finish off drying process and this machine does a great job. Always finishing off and removing dampness so clothes can be folded and put away. We have always purchased Electrolux and have always been more than happy with our purchases. Easy to operate - easy to install on the wall.

Installation Time Saver
The dryer is going well so far. Easy to use, well explained manual, and installation guide.
We were pleasantly surprised that the installation brackets have a second set of holes punched to accommodate the installation screws from your last dryer (if you previously had an Australian made Simpson or Westinghouse you may not need to drill any more holes in your wall - we didn't - though you will need to use the new bracket supplied).
This cut down installation time to minutes. If this was advertised, it would have made my selection even easier.

Does the job and NO tangles
We now have 2 of these dryers. They are simple to use with lots of setting options. Best of all, no tangles or clothes balls at the end of the cycle as it has a reversing function for the drum. Filter is located in the door for easy access. This unit replaced a 'superior branded' product that cost almost double the price of the Electrolux but was a nightmare to use, with knotted clothing balls having to be untangled after every use.

Can you change the door to the other side?

Sorry, I don’t think so. Only thing I can suggest is to turn the machine up side down. Should be easy to use since you get stickers to put on the control panel so you can read it properly.

Keeps stopping before dry. Any ideas?
