Happy with previous XP-200 model.

published

I have an Epson XP-200 which was purchased approx 10yrs ago,
This has been a brilliant small machine for home & business, unfortunately the scanner has failed & have ordered an Epson WorkForce WF-2510 to replace it, if this turns out to be as good we will be very happy.

Epson should go bankrupt

Overley complex

published

The have over complicated the software for the printer. Every time I have to change a cartridge it plays up and becomes very difficult to get it to begin printing again. Has a hissy fit if you tell it to print the document at actual size. I have owned Epsons for about 20 years. This will be the last one

P.S. One star is too many but I could not rate it any lower.

Terrible Garbage

published

This has to be the worst printer I have ever had. Always goes offline, always "Printer in an error state". Just won't print.

Also, if one cartridge runs out of ink, you won't be able to print anything (even in black and white (gray scale) until you replace that cartridge. Seriously?? Epson is a terrible company.

Never again crap.

Absolute Garbage

published

Nothing but problems - absolute waste of money. Ink runs out too quickly - goes offline all the time. Putting it on the next bonfire and will u-tube it! Worst printer I have ever owned in 30 years. Had a Panasonic was brilliant - will go back to Panasonic.Seems like everyone is having the same problems - wish I had read up on it first.
STAY CLEAR OF EPSON!!!

Waste of Time and Money

published

I've only had this printer for 6 months. First the scanner stopped working then when the ink got low I put in a new cartridge and it worked for a week then stopped printing half way through printing a single page. I don't use the printer alot so am very surprised to see it fail on so many levels when it hardly gets used.
The printer has a mind of it's own as sometimes I print and nothing comes out then a week later when I go to try and print something else, the previous pages I was trying to print come out instead. Now the printer and scanner don't work at all. This is my first and last purchase of an Epson, very frustrating when I only used it periodically.

Cheep and gets the job done!

published

Don't waste time reading poor reviews on this product written by champions who don't now how to setup wifi. This is a grate product and cheep to run. If you using cheep router supply free by your internet provider any printer can be slow on wifi or malfunction occasionally. The only down site, is not very fast. But lets be realistic I pay $69 for wifi fax printer scanner.

The Ink Cartridge

published

It is a very poor printer and the ink cartridge don't last. It only prints when it feels like it has sat in my bedroom collecting dust the best place for it. Do not buy this machine, you will just be throwing your money away.
It is a shocker.

That's time I'll never get back

published

The set up is overly complicated and the drivers were out of date necessitating 4 calls to the helpdesk in the Philippines to update properly. One of the links that they sent still doesn't work and they haven't sent the correct one yet. I wish that I checked out this forum 1st and bought something else. On the plus side, the prints of photo's are pretty good.

Waste of money

published

I bought this printer as I was desperate for one at the time, and it was on special at Dick Smith so I thought yeah it can't be that bad... But it is really that bad. I cannot figure out how to scan to my computer wirelessly, and it doesn't even come with a USB cable! It doesn't even allow me to select wireless scanning as an option (on the printer itself). Printing seems okay... quite intermittent. I also agree with the other reviews that it uses a lot of ink.

Worst printer I've ever had - waste of money

published

WiFi option is intermittent at best, requires frequent reinstallation of software.
Ink cartridges are consumed too quickly.
Status levels indicate up to a quarter of ink remaining but printer won't function.
When ink levels are low the remaining functionality (i.e. scanning) is inoperable.
Use of non-genuine cartridges is also intermittent and inconsistent.
Would never buy another Epson, prefer simple Brother laser printers instead. These are cheap, reliable and have much longer lasting consumables.
