Washing Machines Buying Guide
Our buying guide will explain which type of washing machine would suit you most, how much you can expect to pay for one, and which features are worth looking out for.
Perfect if you don't want the same machine for 10 years
This is the only washing machine that would fit in our European laundry so we didn't have much choice with what to buy. We have had the machine for over a year now and it is still running smoothly. We read reviews about it being loud which is true, it sounds like a jet plane is taking off but that's only while it's spinning and you get very good at adjusting the TV noise to combat the sound. There is a range of different cycles you can choose from, the daily wash is perfect for what we need. Keep in mind if you are washing heavier items (bath ...Read more
towels, bath mats etc) you can only put one in at a time otherwise the machine can't cope and the items come out soaking wet, nothing another spin won't fix. The machine is perfect if you want to save money and looking to upgrade/not have the same machine for 10 years.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Awesome mini machine!
Was on the search for a front loader to fit in my 590mm deep eurolaundry (what are these builders thinking?!) Finally found this 5kg washer that would fit my space.
It's a size downgrade from my 8kg, but I found that I only do small loads of washing per week cos I separate my colours and whites and majority of laundry is gym clothes and pjs, so 5kgs should suffice.
Did about 5 loads of washing on my first day in new place - found machine to be relatively quiet and stable (no vibrations or walking; have put a mat under machine just incase...Read more
). Really like the express wash - great for washing new sets of sheets etc. Can comfortably fit a Queen sized quilt cover and pillow cases. Criticisms: - there is NO HOT WATER INLET, but I usually do cold washes anyway.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Absolutely Brilliant!
Quiet, quick and efficient - ALWAYS gives a great wash! Easy to use, takes up very little space which was important for us in a Mobile Home and with only one door between the Washing Machine and our Living Room we hardly know it's on! COULDN'T ASK FOR BETTER! - True value for money!

'0' Stars wasn't an option
Awful. Just awful. In the short time this thing did work, it sounded like it was about to take off at every use (which didn't really bother me), but i drew the line when the lining of the drum started to fall to pieces and the thing started smoking and blackened the walls/ceiling. Clothes also came out with a black oil/tar on them and ruined a number of clothes. Absolute joke of a machine.

Perfect small size, lots of settings
I love this machine. Originally purchased 2 years ago to fit my extremely small European style laundry, but I find the size is perfect for our household with two adults and a baby; it doesn't take a week to build up enough washing to justify a load like in a bigger machine so I can do small, frequent loads. Lots of adjustable settings and never had any issues.

Does the job but if you have the space and the money buy a better quality washer
After reading the very mixed reviews on this item it was with great trepidation that I purchased this washer. The only reason I picked it was that I couldn't find another one at the smaller end of the spectrum to fit into my tiny laundry. Note to manufacturers: you are largely ignoring people who live in small apartments!
I've had it for about six weeks now. I live alone so it meets my needs of around one to two washes per week. Like other reviewers mine started to leak detergent on its first run through but I found that if I put less deter...Read more
gent in (and I mean a lot less) I don't have any problems. However, that does beg the question as to how clean my clothes actually are. The quality of the hardware is not that great. The hose that drains the water into the basin is particularly flimsy. I would be concerned that if I had to move house that it could break quite easily. I like the different washing settings it has but it is missing the "half load" setting which I had on my old washer. The small size is also very convenient.Similar opinion? Tops just 1 problem
Great machine with no problems. But I have had the biggest power bills imaginable. Can the heating element be disconnected? As this is the problem the temperature is inadvertently adjusted up and it's in a rental.

would explain the $1000+ power bill, and they may not knowingly put any temp in at all. If you can come up with any suggestion it would be good otherwise I will have to change it and it has had no problems touch wood. Cheers TerrySteven H.Euromaid
Hi Terry
Yes you can adjust every washes temperature but this must be done every time you select a wash cycle we can’t change the default firmware.

Have had this machine for 6 months and it is worked flat out, non stop. I have a small Laundry so was limited in my selection as it fits into a small Laundry. Washes and dries cloths really well. It is a real value for money product and can't fault it. supprised to see one or two negative reviews ? Love my Euromaid.

First run and its stopped!
We got a brand new machine from TGG and removed the transport screws, hooked it up as per instructions and put in some clothes for a test run. Checked on it say after 45mins and nothing is happening. The display is showing a flashing play sign and the 3sec cancel button doesnt do anything. Turned off the machine and was able to salvage the clothes. Turned it on again but immediately goes into lock mode with the play symbol flashing. Whats with this!!
Anyone from Euromaid here?

was able to configure and get it to run. Now the machine works perfectly and the 14min xtra quick cycle is one of the best reasons to buy this machine. Hope this helps potential buyers.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Love it!!
This is my first front loader and I absolutely love it! It's the best washing machine I have bought so far. My top loader stopped working after 3 years but I have a feeling this little ripper will go longer. Sometimes it can sound a little loud depending on the cycle you chose but it washes my clothes well. I'm very happy with the price too! Handwash cycle is the best, my clothes don't shrink or aren't ruined. Very happy with my purchase.
Inexpensive, cheap, great washes
Little loud sometimes

Great front loader for a budget price
I've put this machine through its paces with 6 loads in 24hrs.
I'm amazed what a difference long cycle times and warm water makes to the cleanliness of the clothes. I always had to handwash certain garments prior to using a top loader as it never got the grime from collars and cuffs out. This machine is different, i threw some old items that were permanently stained around the collar and they actually came clean in a regular cycle with no handwashing.
The features I really like are warm water washing, great range of preset washing cycle...Read more
s, the ability to adjust spin times, delay timer and water temp to suit. I bought the 5kg only because the tiny space in my apartment couldnt accomodate the 7kg model. But I have to say if you can fit the larger one in, buy it. Even as a single person I do find the 5kg small. 5kg front loader has a smaller drum than a 5kg top loader. So saying that, in the weeks when I really only have a few items to wash, I will enjoy the smaller model. The machine failed to properly spin just one load. But if you read the manual it does that when then load is unbalanced and spinning it would otherwise cause the machine to walk around your laundry or be damaged. Its no big drama, you just open the door, rearrange the load and put it on a 15min spin only cycle. I would rather it did that than the alternative. This load was a few towels which always cause drama's for machines as they tend to bunch up on one side of the drum. While the delay timer might seem like a useless feature, its brilliant for me as I'm a shift worker. It means I can load my machine at 2am and have my laundry ready to hang out just a few minutes before coming home in the afternoon. I also like the ability to use the top of the machine as a bench.1 comment
Update. Had this machine for almost 18 months. No issues at all. Good to note though that if you wash warm then it costs more to run. It adds $100 per quarter to my power bill. But I am told if I plug... Read more

Just bought it today after reading the reviews. Let's see how it goes
I had a samsung machine that kept playing up since I bought it. Stopped working last week on all cycles (after two years). I don't have high hopes from Euromaid as I know there's a lot of planned obsolescence going on these days which is just pathetic. My machine before samsung lasted about 12 years and I sold it to 'upgrade' to a frontloader.
Hope Euromaid doesn't play similar trick on me.

Brilliant performer
We've had ours for about a month and it's been getting a real workout (should have probably gone for the WM7). This is an excellent washing machine; certainly a big improvement on our 5kg top loader. The trick is to reduce the amount of detergent to about half or less than you're used to using and to select the appropriate wash cycle. The other trick is to read the manual; it's very comprehensive and should be read fully before using the machine.
Quiet. Good selection of wash options. Great for woollen jumpers (!)

good compact washer
Update - I used this machine for four years before selling it when I moved overseas. I had no troubles in this time. I was very happy with this machine and would buy it again.
We have had it a year now and have had no problems, It washes our clothes really well and uses very little water (our water bill went down noticeably after we ditched the top loader). Occasionally the plastic tabs come out of the shirt collars and get stuck in the pump which makes it noisy, this is easily fixed by undoing the cap under the cover at the bottom front of ...Read more
the machine and pulling them out. (sometimes you get bonus coins in there too :-)). it is very quiet and doesn't shake on the spin cycle. I bought the 5 kg version, it was supposed to be for two of us but now four people use it with no problems. Small, efficient, very competitively priced, quiet.1 comment
