Hi These bikes are fine for off road use,
but are not designed for stunt riding . Regular
sudden impact on the front wheel will cause the
fork suspension seal to leak or fail .

what do the left gear things do?

HI

On the left side of your handlebars you have
your rear brake and the 3 stage lever that controls
the front hub ( where the pedals are ), on the right
side is your front brake lever and 2 levers for the rear
gears . The rule of thumb is the faster you want to go
on the flat without too much effort is to chose the
largest gear at the front with the smallest gear at
the rear . For easy riding on the flat or mild slopes
I use mid gear front ( no2 ) and switch between no4
and no3 on the rear ( for light inclines ) . On bigger hills switch
to the smallest gear at the front and a bigger gear at
the back ( no4 to no8 ) You can change gears whilst
pedaling but if they dont change within a few seconds
apply a little steady pressure to the same lever until
it engages .

What year was the fluid nitro mountain bike brought out, like what year

Hi Cameron

Less than 2 years ago . I got one of the first ones .
I use it regularly for daily rides on and off road .
Original tyres still fitted, chain and sprockets still
ok . Brake cable needs occasional retention .
Chunky frame looks good though the neon paint
has faded considerably . No rust anywhere ( keep
your bike stored out of the weather ) .
Overall its been a great purchase and good value
for money .

I am 6 foot. What size do you think I should get?

Hi When sizing a bike ( mens ) you should be able to
straddle the bike just in front of the saddle and have
between 25 and 50 mm of clearance . You see a lot
of people riding bikes much too small for them, this
results in a much higher centre of gravity, greatly reducing
rider comfort and safety .

Would you prefer the momentum over this?

Hi . They are both good bikes . If you can get a nitro on special it
is definately the better option . I ride every day and as we have a
few gravel roads the bigger wheels and tires are the better of the 2
The nitro looks better with the chunky frame but buy the black, not
the neon yellow . it fades to an offwhite in a couple of months in the
sunlight . Add a gel seat cover and enjoy the ride .

Hope this helps .
