Everything I could have expected and more
Very nice car. We got the car about 18 months ago. Very happy with driver and passenger leg and head room (I'm 6'3''). Very happy with audio, Bluetooth and USB capability. Very happy with driving performance.
Actually very hard to fault so far.
Done about 20,000km in 18 months. Probably deserves 4&1/2 stars!
Oh also fuel economy is insane.
We worked out we have saved over $2000 dollars compared to our previous V6 Holden in 18 months.

Great small car
Our Fiesta Zetec WZ 5 speed manual Turbo Diesel 2012 was purchased second hand in 2013 from local Ford Dealer with 8,700Kms. Has been a reliable car now with 43,000Kms on the clock with only a minor issue with the cruise control, which was a minor replacement of an electrical component under warranty. Chose the Fiesta because of the Turbo Diesel (Personal Choice) Is very economical returning 4.7 L/100Kms. Capped pricing for servicing makes this great buying.Customer Service from the local Ford Dealer is very good. Have had no other issues with this car

On to my second Fiesta, both fine
Bought my first Fiesta - a 2010WS manual Zetec - in 2010, for about $19K. Last of the German-builts. Seemed a better choice than a Mazda2. All good, great car if a bit gutless. I buckled 2 rims then took the hint and got CSA Swords all round for $800. Liked the handling, electronics, bluetooth. Cityford Rockdale serviced, no problems. Always used 95RON and high quality synthetic.
Last year I hit a kangaroo on the Newell and wrote it off. In a bit of a hurry, I chose a WT Ecoboost. Even better car. Same economy (6L/100k hwy) and quite toey. Tha...Read more

Transmission Issues - UNFIXABLE
I purchased a brand new 2014 model Fiesta in May last year, so it is now just about a year old. Since day 1 I have had issues with the car's transmission. It shakes, shudders, lags excessively and drops out of gear while on the motorway. I have taken it in 5 times under warranty, and they cannot fix it. I have even had my clutch replaced, and still no luck, that actually made it worse. Currently my car is at the dealership while Fair Trading deal with them! DO NOT buy a Ford Fiesta/Focus with the new 'dual-clutch' transmission. This car is a safety hazard!!!

Totally disappointed
Worse car ever, very unsafe and would not recommend a Ford Fiesta or Focus to anyone. I purchased a new Fiesta 16 months ago and it has been back to Ford 6 times, has had 2 clutches as they are faulty but continue to sell these car and this has been an issue since 2011. There are thousands of people having these issues. To me Ford are just a disgrace. Check out this FB page 'Fix our Focus & Fiestas before buying 1.

Good little performer.
I have the same problem engaging reverse in my manual 2014 Fiesta S found if you double clutch it's not a big deal. It's possible it's just wearing in. Apart from that it's an awesome little jigger. The engine is a peach plenty of power very economical and only 3 cylinders. Reckon a close ratio six speed manual would be a better box for it though.

Very good runaround town car
Overall I'm very happy with my 2014 Ford Fiesta. I've only owned it for a month, but I'm especially happy with the low fuel consumption. Seating is very comfortable and for once I don't need a cushion for height. The seat is fully adjustable. One complaint so far is that the windscreen wipers shake and shudder all over the windscreen, but this might be fixable when I take the car in for its first safety check very soon. I'd like it to take off a bit quicker from being stopped at lights, but once it gets going it's a great little car and can hol...Read more
d its own in the traffic. I've learned not to try and put my foot down to overtake on the open highway. The power just isn't there compared to the larger car that I've been accustomed to. So, steady, steady is the way to drive it and we'll get along just fine.1 comment
I'd like to add to my review above that the windscreen wipers on my Fiesta have now settled in and no longer shudder and shake. It's disappointing that so many people have had negative experiences, so... Read more

No spare tyre and not warned
Am so cheesed off with this car as a single woman. I got no discount on the new car, no trade in for my old Ford and ripped off on the window tinting. Thanks Ford Maddington never again. Had I known there was but a tyre filer in the boot I would never have bought it. I've had two flat tyres and each time has been a nightmare to get them fixed.

Transmission problems or who cares?
I've had my 2014 Fiesta back to Ford 3 times since I bought it in April this year. The transmission problems were getting worse despite the services. The car "died" in the middle of a busy Sydney road in the peak hour yesterday. It took a long time for us to be rescued, as the Ford Roadside Assistant couldn't find my car registered in their system!
It was a frustrating experience with Ford’s poor-quality products and services!

Ford Fiesta WZ 2013 Good Little Car
Ford Fiesta WZ 2013 Trend 6 speed auto. After 9 months and 15000kms this is a great little car. Plenty of go in the engine smooth automatic gearbox. Good fuel economy about 6l/100km. The Trend has all the whistles and bells that work well including cruise and Ford sync. The handling is very good and the car seems to be extremely reliable with no faults requiring correction at the first annual service.
Rear passenger space is very limited and the boot is rather small. There is a big space for the spare wheel but it comes with a tyre repair kit.
Overall a very positive experience from this car and Ford.
Nice looking willing little engine
Lack of space rear passengers

Ford Fiesta 2013 gearbox problems
Love my car which I bought new in October 2013 and I have only done 6000 Kms. It has now developed a shuddering when moving through the gears. Dealer did a rectification two days ago but it is still shuddering. So disappointed, has anyone else had this happen and was it fixed to their satisfaction? It is a 6 speed auto.
March 6th 2015 Update:
This problem has reoccurred in that the transmission clutches causes slippage and causes the car to vibrate when accelerating from slow speed. Car is a 2013 model and has done only 12,000km. Has been f...Read more

Just right !
I'm not fussed about technicalities. I was after a good quality, no hassles car that will take me from A to B with a bit of style thrown in for good measure. My Fiesta definitely delivers on all the above. And for those out there that keep complaining about the Powershift feature I have to say that it performs just fine; no problems/weird sounds or whatever people have been talking about.
Design, reliability, price
Nothing really for an entry level small car.

Hey guys, so I've heard lots of horror stories about the Fiesta's and Focus' gearboxes, but I was wondering if the manual was plagued with the same issues? Specifically I'm talking about the ST, it's a really nice car that I'm very tempted by, but if it's got a whole lot of extra costs involved then I won't go for it.

Evening!
As far as I know it is only the Auto of each type that had the problem, I have not heard of any problems with the manuals as they do not have dual clutches.
I believe the Fiesta/Focus issues are related to the "Power Shift" DCG gearboxes. This doesn't apply to the Australian Market 6 speed. There are a few reports for the US domestic market Fiesta ST suffering from clutch issues but US cars are made in Mexico and the Australian Market ST comes from Germany.
