What year and model transit is best for setting up as a free camper for two people?

New or Recon motor for 1997 VG Transit Van required plus fiiitting

I have 2007 transit 2.4 TDCI. It has developed a whistle which I’m thinking may be turbo/air intake related. Any clues? Also my clutch goes soft after heavy climbing returns to normal when not under this stress.

Does anyone know where I could get electrics for 1999 Ford Transit Manual Van (VG?) fixed or even just parts (speedometer etc gone!)? I'm based in Northern suburbs of Melbourne.

Also, we want to buy another van but the reviews look bad. The transit is good because it fits 2 pallets. Which model/year do you recommend with less problems? Thanks in advance.

I have a ford transit van 2.5lt diesel turbo 1998 Camper, went into limp mode,fault was leaking lucas-epic injector pump, finally died...got another from wrecker haven't installed it yet, only worked on Petrol, never done one before, the Ford people wont help...Stuck in Alice Springs (4months) great place though.....3 mechanics tried ripping me off, to do job for $8000,another diag with a OBD11 tool charged $250 instead of a Lucas laser 2000, doing job myself, got a manual another mechanic stole it, need the settings for timing please, can anyone help please it would be much appreciated and any advise ..like should I also replace egr .much appreciated...met some great people here as well...Ps is this a MK3

I have a 1997 Ford Transit diesel motorhome that I feel doesn't perform as well a I expect. It has a new injector pump but still seems to be lacking in power from my perspective. I thought that if I had it serviced by a really good mechanic, it might improve performance. Can anyone recommend a mechanic that could look at it in the Newcastle region please?

Hi i have a 1997 Ford Transit Van 2.5 Lt Diesel Turbo, goes in to limp mode randomly, drive fine till engine light pops on than goes into limp mode, engine light goes off at times than runs fine again, Im haveing no luck at finding parts for this Van, Wondering what my options are to replace motor etc with something else that would suit this model she is a fully deck out camper just sitting in the shed seems a waste, ive tried to find a whole pedal plug in assembly or a peddle throttle senser cant even find that here or in the UK. Wondering if is there any othe subsitute for this model Transit Van for parts etc or conversion any help would be appreciated thankyou Tania

We have a 2001 ford transit motor home and has an intermittent fault with the turbo booster,went fine then stopped mechanic had a quick look, took off the air in take hose from the air filter to the turbo charger, put it all back together said he thought it might be the inter-cooler, we drove it away perfect for 250 k then stopped again. Any ideas?
