Would anyone like a catcher for the garden line push mower- pretty sure the 2018/2019 model
Live in armidale NSW
The mower itself is junked (at least it’s parts got used by someone who fixes mowers) but I presume the catcher will only fit this model
If you’ve managed to keep your mower going this long- well bloody done! Despite at least 6 trips to the mechanic - mine still ran rough all the time and was basically a pile of junk!
Hi I need the gardenline push mower it’s for $60 is there any way I can get one from Aldi
Thanks
Aldi electric cord mower approx $100. How are the rear two wheels secured as fall off whilst attempting to mow grass?
Can you email me how to adjust the bedknife?
How can I get the manual for this model
I was given a Gardenline push mower and catcher, it doesn't cut very well although the blades have been adjusted as low as they go. Doesn't cut tall weeds (e.g. paspalum). Is it supposed to be so hard.
How to change height,lower, higher.?
If you have the user manual the answer is on page 11 under VI. OPERATION. If you don't, loosen the knobs on each side of the machine, put a foot on the black roller, set the desired height with both hands on the small handles on the front of the machine. Tighten the knobs.
The wheels move backwards but not forwards. Still in assembly stage. Is there a guard or a brake that I'm missing? The blades aren't turning because the wheels aren't turning. Thanks.
Maybe you've assembled it the wrong way around ? When I use mine, the opposite happens-it doesn't work going backwards.
It takes more effort to push it forward than drag it backward. The forward action drives the cutter reel which takes more effort. If the wheels don't turn then, perhaps, the tension on the cutter reel needs to be backed off a touch by loosening a couple of adjustment screws underneath.
Thanks Dennis. It's not budging at all on tiles and in high blade mode. Blades aren't budging at all. Assembling for my neighbour. She's on the pension so while it was a good purchase I'd hate to brake it on her. I'll have a look at loosening a few screws underneath. Cheers
Hi Kameleon - it came as just handles and catcher needing assembly. The bulk of the mower was already assembled and it looks just like the picture on the box so it's facing the right way. Having said that perhaps the wheels were put on backwards. I will keep that in mind. Cheers
Dennis you're my hero. I just flipped it and loosened bolts - the blade was being stopped by the cross bar underneath. Whoever put it together screwed it too tightly. The spring bolts each end. Working now - someone get Dennis a beer :)
How do you put on the habdles
If yours is the same as mine you need to hold the handle vertically, squeeze the ends of it together and align the holes in it with the lugs in the body, and release. It takes a bit of effort to squeeze and align them.
I agree with Dennis. I don't have the Owners Manual. The handle came off on one side at the base of the mower. It's a matter of aligning the pin into the hole. The pin is specially shaped to prevent it coming out, as is the hole. The two must be aligned. If you have an assistant to hold the handle upright that might help.
What about the handles - they fit over the bolts nicely and don't fall out but is the handle then meant to flop up and down freely or are you meant to screw them in tightly so it's at a set angle? Mine is flopping up and down because I followed the instructions.
How do you adjust the mowing height
Where can I purchase the Aldi push mower
Where can l find the assembly instructions for this mower ?
how to wind line onto my grass trimmer
I purchased a Gardenline 500e Series mower in May/2018. Worked very well for the summer/fall of 2018. The first time that I used in 2022, the rear axle broke while mowing. I cannot located any information on how to contact Gardenline for a warranty issue. Can you assist?
Thanks, Richard
Can I buy the cradle that keeps basket together?
How do you fit grass box to push mower?
I’m hoping that this will be easy enough for a 65 yr old lady (with a bad back) to use. I’m on my own, so have no choice - short of the expense of having it done for me.
I just bought one at ALDI for $80 - it was reduced from $100. I believe this to be the same mower, although ALDI merchandice doesn’t usually jump so high in price, in fact it’s often cheaper the following year.
I would really appreciate any advice. Thank you in advance.
Honestly it depends on the lawn, weedy is harder to control unless you get to it reasonably quickly, otherwise there are some groups out there that can assist, price unsure of, if you have access to the internet you could google as to groups that assist when in need, hope this assists
Thank you! Your response in in keeping with what I’ve since been told - that it works ok if grass is kept short. My concern is that I won’t have the strength to push it.
Can someone tell me how I can put the handle on without it falling off when I push it? also the handle seems to have a lot of movement range that i wouldn't expect. O think I'm doing something wrong here!
I’m sorry I can’t help you, but I wonder if you might know if a lady (mid sixties) could push this mower?
Again I’m sorry I can’t answer your question. The model I’m talking about is 38cm push mower, & is currently discounted from $100 to $70. I’d appreciate any advice.
Hi, I have the push mower from ALDI, I also had this problem, ten year old grandson threw it, handle separated from body, it took me four months to finally work out how it went back together, when you look at the body of the mower, you have it with the roller's at your body side,as if you are going to start mowing, between the rollers and the main wheels, on the side's, you should see two risen knobs, these are where the handles are mounted, for myself, if any one is able to, to have some pins put in place, as this would keep the handle more stable, as I myself am sixty years of age, I find it ideal for aerobic exercise, hope this assists.
great thank you for your response... it kept of popping out... pins might just do the trick... thanks again
