Please can you send me clear, simple instruction on how to change to half load wash ? So, i can use it more frequently. I have a look in the manual booklet numerous times, instruction not clear (either that I am a dumb old housewife!) Thank you.

Hi Sophie, Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch dishwasher. You can set the half load wash by holding down the last button on your right hand side until the half load symbol appears (in the user manual it's button number 5).If you need any more help, feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744.

We have had our dishwasher for approximately 2 years now, purchased brand new and never had an issue until now. It keeps stopping and showing "check water light, then E14. Our water pressure is great, there are no obstructions at the impellor inside the machine and it will pump the water out of the bottom if I restart it, then same all over again. We bought the dishwasher because we thought it was a good brand and have recommended to others. We are not in a position to pay big money for repair, can you please suggest our options?

My dishwasher is new. The instruction manual doesn't quite match up to the display panel on my dishwasher. As the half load wash was the feature I purchased it for, I would like to know how I can tell if it's on? The button doesn't light up or stay on during wash cycle

When you turn on and select the mode you wish you then press start. The panel stops flashing then you close the door and the wash starts.

I am looking at Bosch SMS50M22AU or Miele G4203 SCActive. I am concerned about the manufacture of Bosch. Everyone says watch out for manufactured in Turkey, make sure it's Germany. This one appears to be manufactured in Spain. Any opinion on Spanish made Bosch dishwashers please?

So far I don't see any problem with my Bosch dishwasher. It's quite it's clean. I'm happy with everything.
I was thinking of getting a Miele before I purchased Bosch. I heard my friends and other people's feedbacks and I decided to buy Bosch. Bosch gives you a reasonable price with a good quality. Saving $ from your pocket.

Hi Jill, most of this model is manufactured in Spain or Turkey just have a look at the sticker on the side of the door before you purchase this will give you the country of origin.If its Turkey forget it and look at another Bosch model

My SMS40M12AU is being replaced under warranty having developed an irreparable fault. Can anyone please confirm: does the SMS50M22AU child lock actually prevent the child from turning the dishwasher off, because the SMS40M12AU did not? Thanks in advance!

The digital child lock stops the program being changed or terminated however it does not stop the appliance being turned off, this is for safety reasons as the plug is not generally accessible to you.

Had this dishwasher for around 6 months and we are generally very happy. It is quiet, washes well and dries. We use the shorter cycles so wash time is OK. ....but there is a problem with stacking the dishes. Dishes fall into each other when stacked. The tunes done seem to support and separates dishes and bowls. Didn't have this problem with our old ASKO....and we only have a common or garden dinner set...no strange shapes. Does anyone else have this problem or can someone suggest a fix?

Does this model have a plastic tub or a stainless steel tub?

I have the 28AU model which has the stainless steel interior - I chose this for this reason. There is a cheaper model that has a plastic interior, it might be the 22AU version.

I'm comparing energy usage between dishwashers as I'm on stand alone solar. Finding what they actually use is not always clear. What star rating rating or electric usage does the sms50m22au use so l can compare or can you recommend another Bosch dishwasher that may suit?

Sorry I can't give you an answer to your question. It's the first dishwasher I've ever owned so I can't even compare it to other models. I don't use it daily (about once or twice a week) so I haven't yet really noticed a change in my energy consumption. I think Bosch would be the best people to contact? Perhaps go to their website & email them. Good luck

Our one week old Bosch dishwasher is not cleaning our dishes well. We are not sure what the problem is, we are using Finish Dishwasher powerball tablets but the dishes are still coming out dirty even after two cycles. The top tray seems to be fine but the bottom tray is leaving particularly our bowls stained. What can we do about this?

Hi Sue, We have never had any problems with what we are cleaning, whether its plates, saucepans, cutlery etc. I really wouldn't know what the problem might be, maybe the bottom arm in the dishwasher not working properly or something like that, maybe you should contact Bosch for some advice.
