Summer Lifesaver!

published

We regularly used the medium size during summer in the living room. It did work much better with the ice cubes added to the tank and it has an air purifier too which is cool. Works pretty decent and easy to move around albeit have had an issue with remote at times but just need that sweet spot I guess or just do it manually!

What a rip off.

published

Worked once then just blew room temperature air, even when we put ice in the water. What a rip off. Very disappointed. It was so good the first time we used it, hubby thinks it was coated in something designed to work a short time then wear off. Very sad.

Purchased in December 2021 at Make Up Store for A$399.00.

For its size it does the job fairly well. Really great that it’s also light so I can move it from one place to another easily. Excellent product I might say!

Savings on Powerbill!

published

This product is a must have. It’s the healthier way to cool down during hot weather and most importantly, I managed to save money just by using this product. I prefer the 09 EX model due to its humidity control function and very easy to clean. If you don’t know much about how this unit works, call the company and you will receive informative information on how to get the best use of the product.

DO NOT BUY IT

published

I would not recommend it at all
My dad ask me to purchase this as he saw this on the tv. Waste of time and money because its not your average air con if you want cold air dont buy this its like buying a fan and inserting water.its noisey very loud, waste of energy too. And when I try to return it and the lady never call me back which went past my 30 days trail then I had to call back again. Make sure you do your research before buying product waste of money stay away !!!!

What Ever You Do, Do Not Buy

published

The unit is very noisy, does not operate as indicated on the Television ads. Stays cool for a very short period of time. When you applied different settings in got hotter not cooler and was very loud. The company were very hard to deal with when trying to send the Machines back. You have to send them back at your expense. From where I live in Far north Queensland it cost $80.10 to send back. I will never ever buy another product from the TV shop. I would advise others to do the same after the horrible treatment from their customer care team.

Beware

published

did not get product ordered, performance not as advertised, only a fan, decided to return product and was dismayed when charged $250 for the articles, as the so called one free has to be returned as well.
Company has a deal with Aust Post, so article posted to us cost $84, but upon returning same product customers pay full price in essence the difference in price is $166. As a customer we paid the $250 + $84!
Please avoid TV shop!!!

What a rip off!

published

My husband bought this product a a TV SHOP in TAMWORTH. We gave it several opportunities to prove itself, but it was basically just a very expensive fan; and not very effective. He took it back to the TV shop and they refused to refund him. He then phoned the company, who asked for proof of purchase. He provided proof of purchase but he never heard back from them. Poor product, highly disreputable company, don’t touch this product.

Absolute rubbish

published

I was so excited to have my instachills arrive today, but dayum, how disappointing. It definitely doesn't cool, it's an over expensive fan. Looks great, fancy and all that crap but does nothing what the ad shows on tv, and stupid me, I bought 2. Will definitely be sending these back, what a waste of hype

Waste of money

published

The ad said that it would cool a room but it doesn't. You have to be in front of it to cool down so if there is someone else home then you have to have it on swing and then I start sweeting.
I gave it 2 stars because it's better than a fan but not worth the price.

Styley looking fan

published

When you put the freezing water in, it blasts cold air for awhile, but as it warms up so does the air coming out of the instachill. It's good for the start of summer, but in the midst of higher temperatures it falls flat. But it still is better than a standard fan

works ok

published

I live in a rental with no aircon. We had a 44 degree day so we put straight ice in the instachill. I wont lie it struggled in the large room but if you sat within a 5 metre radius you could feel the difference. For that time it did the job to make the temp tolerable in that area but its not a substitue for a split system or air conditioner. Its just a cooler overpriced fan. On the plus side its an air purifier too.

Total waste of money. Doesn't do anything it claims to do. Not worth over $700. Very misleading in the advertisements. Thank god I'm sending it back within the trial period.

Horrible product and horrible company.

published

I’d give it no stars but unfortunately you have to give one.
I was 5 days past my trial date and only forgot as I had issues with my pregnancy and was unable to call sooner. I offered to send it back and pay the shipping myself again as the product doesn’t work as well as promised, I’ve even put ice in it as suggested and it is still crap and I t only blows out from one side.
So now they expect me to have to pay them $500+ for a crappy product that doesn’t work properly when I don’t currently work and my husband is on a low wage. So I now have to wait until I’ve paid off this terrible, waste of money product before I can start saving again for a product that actually works!
Not happy at all. Steer clear!!!!

just another evaporative cooler

published

Hoped it would be an updated version of the older style evaporative coolers, but, it is just the same . A little quieter, did not seem to cooler when chilling button was on. Apparently it works better if you put ice into it which I was only told when I went to return the item.

No, basically a device.that sits totally inside the room will not cool the room. It will cool temporarily if iced water is in the reservoir but as soon as the water warms forget it. There is no way to transfer the heat out of the room. it's a glorified fan. It's a con.
