It’s really not that powerful, at all. The air blows out a little cold, but no where near what you would expect for the price of it. It’s extremely big, I mean, it’s good to have, but I think you could by better with your money.

My machine after a month making a rattling noise.

I would like the company that make and advertise their product to be honest its very very dissapointing

I purchased 2 Instachills from the TV shop at a cost of $599.00
When they arrived i opened one and set it up with cool water, set all the nessessary settings and it didnt cool the room as advertised, i waited and waited for hte room to cool down however it remained hot and stuffy, this product does not perform as described to say the least !

Bought two units. I have run for 1 month now and they are useless. Walked out of room being cooled and same temp (testing conducted in similar manner over 10 times on different hot days). Even placed chilled water in the reservor as suggested by supplier. Buy a good fan - just as good. Wasted over $600. ACCC needs to deal with the suppliers (false marketing/advertising).

This instachill works quite well on days where the temperature is around 20-25 Celsius, it has a cooling effect and can last up to 15 hours without refilling water. However on days when the Instachill needs to be used during heatwaves or humid weather, it will provide no relief at all, you will still need an Air Conditioner in your home to do most of the work. Take this sort of as a 2nd device that assists the AC in helping your home keep cool. Lastly, this is better than most fans, so i will give it a 3 stars. In terms of value for price, you're better off buying a portable air conditioner. Also the loud sound is quite satisfying, i like to sleep with it on all night

This unit as advertised as been like an air conditioner is no better than a fan bought from Coles or Woolworths. Not to mention how much ice you need for nothing.

I bought a medium Insta chill deal from TV. They did arrived and there was 2 of them. They are terrible, terrible if terrible. They are not cooling anything, louder than a factory fan and the price is expensive as heck $799 for 2 piece of chunk that are worse than my Mini 50CM fan. Scam alert

Why would my instachill not be uaing water. I ha e cleaned all the filters but this has not made a difference. The water level does not seem to be going down

I have just been looking at the advert on the shopping channel for the InstaChill and thought I would look up some reviews as I thought this could be just what I needed to cool off. So glad you have this site as I have just saved myself $500 and a lot of grief and regret in buying this product.

Very noisy. Like living next to a busy highway. Return of the item will be at our own cost even when the sales person say the retry cost is part of the freight that they send to us.

Got it summer 20/21 from TV Shop 2 for 1 deal. Works great as sometimes running 24/7, better with cold water. has 3 filters, not 2, also rear cover held in with a screw not mentioned & nearly broke the first one trying to get it out before i saw it. Not for use in areas of high humidity, over 85%

Worked well for 2 summers but now can't find out how to get repaired without receipt. 2 years on can't find it. Purchased tv shop how hard can it be?

Advertisement claims it uses same power as a lightbulb. Look up the specs and you’ll see it runs on 230W.
Typical lightbulb is 60W.
Ad also shows it being demonstrated in an already air-conditioned shopping centre.
What a scam.

the demonstration of this unit inside a shopping centre is deceptive.The centre is air conditioned to 22 degrees,so that unit with people standing in front of it saying how cold it is,is blowing out the cold air provided by the centres air conditioning then going through the water in the instachill.So naturally it is going to be cold air.They should stop advertising this product in this manner.

These scammers sold one of these to my pensioner Dad on a payment plan, it's never worked properly, cool function always flashes regardless of water level and I'm yet to find this water pipe their talking about. Dad is in a nursing home now and out of pocket 500 bucks, he has been a loyal customer of all their CRAP for years. Disgusting. Nothing he has bought has ever really worked. Absolute rubbish.
