Absolutely disgusted. Rip off merchants
Less than zero satisfaction with purchase of Doogee S80. Phone smashed after falling out of pocket less thank a week after it arrived. It didn't just crack, it SHATTERED. Supposed to be one of the toughest phones on the market. Zero help from store, automated responses, guarantees are completely worthless. Stay away!

Shipping time is horrible! Ordered in Nov 2022 and still waiting for delivery
According to their estimated shipping time - 7-15 business days, I should have received my order early Jan 2020. Current status still showed not dispatched yet. Do not order from gearbest if you want fast delivery. It's no Amazon or Ebay, at least Amazon and Ebay provides fairly accurate shipping details and time and I know what to expect. Gearbest estimated shipping time is not updated at all based on stock availability or adjusted for holiday periods.

Dodgey Chinese Products
Bought a Nokia 6.1+ which had a faulty c-port and would not charge. They wouldn't repair it even though it was still within warranty. Nokia Australia said the phone has a Chinese warranty so they couldn't actually repair it. They offered me a partial refund if $70 USD ($100 AUD) which is unsatisfactory since the phone cost $350 AUD and is now useless. Customer service takes ages to respond.

Took to long to send items.
BEWARE.
Placed an order for 2 x Android boxes, was told will ship between 1-3 days, a week later, not sent, created ticket, ticket said would be sent a few day later, another week, nothing. Tried contacting via FB messenger, was like talking to a robot, except was pretty dumb for a robot.
Have also tried to contact/resolve via email.
This company currently has a rating of 4 stars, but most (not all) of these 5 star ratings are between 1-2 years ago, when the company was BestGear and had a rep on here tending to all the positive feedback, n...Read more

Gets a bad rap but my experience was fine
I ordered an expensive piece of kit from Gearbest -after reading all the recent reviews here, I was very nervous, but in fact the whole experience was fine. The only issue was the tracking number on the order was wrong, but when I contacted them they corrected it and the stuff arrived in reasonable time, well packed and I was happy with it. I don't think I would buy anything so expensive from them again, but for stuff up to say $100 I would be happy to. It's not any different to buying from Aliexpress - most of the time things are fine but if something goes wrong, it can be very hard to have it put right I think.

Appalling service. No product received. No refund received. Avoid at all costs!
Ordered a drone online and waited the 10-15 business days stated for it to be delivered in time for a birthday. The deadline came and went with no correspondence from GearBest. I then contacted them only for them to tell me the product was out of stock and was expected to arrive sometime mid October. I chose to cancel the order and the refund was processed (supposedly). I was told to wait up to 14 business days for the refund to show in my account. Well thats now long gone also and Ive still not received my money back. The online after-sales care is awful and they basically said someone will be in touch. After such an awful experience with these clowns, dont risk buying off of them I certainly wont be ever again!

Selling items that are out of stock
I bought an item that clear was in stock. When I bought it it stated the approximate time to deliver.
When the period came, I call them to check the status and their answer was " we apologize we sold them and we are out of stock, but if you are willing to wait two more weeks wi will dispatch it and will be delivered in 14 working days".
Not only that also the price dropped.
And because of that I asked them to match the selling price by getting a refund,they denied telling me that they prefer to give me credits on the website to keep buying.
Really? after the made a mistake, the last thing I want is to buy from there.
I do not recommend them.

Terrible Customer Service
I havbe purchased 3 times from this site :
1) Phone died 6 months after purchase =-$270 ( was offered $70 refund after 2 months of emailing )
2) Headphones x 3 - Stock not available & only found out when i finally could get ont to them .
3) Smart Watch - No stock and again only told when was able to chat online - they wont chat if you sign in

Don't fall for GEARBEST offer of partial refund.
I would have to echo other sentiments to stay clear of Gearbest.
I paid $179 USD for a Xaiomi phone. Item disappeared on its journey to me.
Gearbest offered me a refund of $60 USD saying that I could not receive a full refund because I had not purchased shipping insurance. After a few email exchanges this offer reached $100 USD, but I still thought it was their problem to seek compensation from the shipping company and that I should not be out of pocket.
Put in a dispute claim with PAYPAL and was successful with $179 USD being refunded.
Lesson learnt is to not fall for their bluff. Get the full refund through PAYPAL or your credit company.

Very dodgy
Extremely dodgy business. I bought some items that were advertised for one price but when I checked the transaction after purchase they had charged me double the amount. When I cancelled the order on that ground, they either could not figure out how to issue the refund or just played dumb and said it was not possible. It's been almost 2 months I neither recieved the items nor the refund. Be very very careful who you do business with. Even businesses recognised by PayPal means nothing, its not a guarantee of the business being genuine in contrast to what I used to think.

I second it, a VERY shonky business
One product ordered on 1 April 2022, not delivered. Another one ordered in June (beginning), after two months (August) a message - the product packed and sent plus some unbelievable explanation. Two months after the order they decided to dispatch the parcel. Now, mid of September and no delivery. Contacting GearBest customer service is like banging the wall. Some excuses, but no delivery or money back. PayPal will be contacted as well.
In the past I had few orders done satisfactorily, but the current experience is a total mess.

Sent email asking for help and got an emailwhich I cannot respond to.
Think it must be a fake or scam.

I purchased a pair of Xiaomi ear buds from these guys on the 6/08/2019, the product was supposedly sent on the 14/08/2019 and now its the 2/09/2019 and still they haven't arrived. These guys don't care and don't refund, out right thieves. Don't buy from this company.

Dodgy and Shonky
Gearbest is a finance company that sells products, they take usually 3 weeks before they ship your product. I made the mistake of buying a phone from them, took 5 weeks to get the phone and they charged GST and said on waybill duty to be paid. Had to pay GST again to get phone released, took them another two weeks to agree to the refund and now they are saying that they use Paypal and it could take a further two weeks to get my money. Amazon AU starting stocking the same phone after I bought from Gearbest and offer delivery in 3-5 days and the price was in the same ballpark.
If you have an ulcer or do not want to get one stay away from Gearbest.

Items might not get delivered at all. Moreover, items not in stock but website shows otherwise.
Two of my orders never arrived. Waited three months but lost somewhere.
After that I placed another order for different items, this time paid extra for quicker delivery but then noticed that the order was not dispatched in time. I asked about it and I was told that all the tree items were not in stock. I have to wait another week for the items to be in stock and then they will post. It was supposed to be a 5 days delivery. Website clearly showed items in stock. Highly disappointing and unprofessional. Waste of time.

Worst experience ever - shipping not received and no refund!
Since my first order with Gearbest went off without a hitch. I decided to buy something more expensive this time. A Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, worth about 300 USD. With the buyer protection and the additional transport insurance I thought I would be on the safe side.
According to DHL shipment tracking [1] (package no. 0034043434268750749369) the article should have been delivered to me personally on 18.06.2019 at 16:40. I still any other person from my household has received the package. Also with demand with the neighbours the package did not appear.

n 20.06. I have given up thereupon with Gearbest a support inquiry. I was put off, I should wait nevertheless still a few days. DHL could not help me because I am only the recipient and therefore not the contract partner. On 25.06. I opened a case with the PayPal buyer protection in the hope to get a refund fast and uncomplicated. But since Gearbest could prove with the help of the parcel number that a parcel was supposedly delivered, PayPal proved the seller right and rejected my request for a refund. After that, I asked Gearbest to submit a request to DHL for a refund if the package was actually stolen or lost. However, Gearbest will argue that the package has been delivered as this will be shown in the Tracking section. I then submitted a request for investigation to DHL, which was rejected by letter a few days later - again with the statement that only the shipper can do this. After calling DHL, however, I was informed that a [name removed] (operator of a fulfillment center, commissioned by Gearbest) had filed an investigation request.Similar opinion? Ordered a chin strap from them which promptly fell apart. They refused to offer a refund or exchange - probably their standard response. High volume, low quality company from China - so buyer beware.

Absolute rubbish - stay away
Ordered 2 shirts on line. Both arrived (after a while). Supposed to be 3XL but were closer to a size M.
They were also of very ordinary quality.
Raised a ticket to get the refund process going, system just keeps telling me the Return Authority is lodged, but does not detail any process for return. Raising a new ticket just repeats that the 'RMA' has already been raised.
I will avoid this site in the future. Advise others to do likewise.

Gearbest have made withdrawals from my Bank Account for over a year I have never ordered any goods from them.
I am not a Member of Gearbest and have never ordered any goods from them, yet they have been making charges from my Bank Account for over a year. The matter is now being handled by my Bank's Fraud Department.

Stay away from GEARBEST.COM!!! Paid for product, but gearbest did not ship out product.
I paid for a mobile phone from their website, but for more than 2 weeks, they haven't even packed for shipment. I emailed their customer service, and their reply was just a simple "please be patient". I waited for another 2 days, still no change in their packing for shipment status.
Luckily I paid paypal, and was able to have full refund.
I was a first-time user of gearbest.com.
Never again will I use this website.
Everyone ... please stay away.

I am going on my personal experience. As it stands they took my money on the 1April and today is the 3june and I still have no product! GEARBEST will not even look into it until the 11june2019! When they stated it could take up to 30working days.... It has now been over 45working days. Disappointing
Looking at all the recent reviews, that rating should/will fall, personally, i will recommend to all, to stay away from this company.
