Gerni Classic 130.3 Questions & Answers
10 questions from our users
Bought my Gerni Classic 130.3 about 4 years ago, which is now apparently discontinued. Used it about 5 times to clean 400x400 pavers on our patio. Halfway through the current job it stopped, electric burn smell up close so it has obviously burned out. Probably 4/5 hours of total work over the last 4 yrs. Very disappointing indeed. Will contact Bunnings where I purchased it but are not expecting any joy from them. In depth look at various review sites seems to indicate that these cleaning systems are way below reasonable expectations and that a long use life is as much about luck than quality build. Any advise folks? Would love to hear from a product Rep??
My machine had done a similar amount of work when it refused to start. I took it to an authorised repairer and was surprised to discover that the warranty was 5 years. After locating the Bunnings rece...
Read moreipt, I was pleased to see that my unit still had 20 odd days of warranty remaining. I’ve been waiting a few months now for the repair though, the holdup being attributed to the unavailability of spare parts. Good luck.I have a Gerni 1885 psi unit. The patio cleaner doesn't seem to be working as well. Do they wear out? Is it the water jet or the brushes that do the cleaning?
It would appear mine is the smaller unit- is the bigger one ok?
where on the central coast nsw can I purchase one?
Is the product compatible with Hoselink ?
Is the 130.3 model Gernie able to be used with low pressure water supply as from a non-pumped water tank (water butt)?
Can the Gerni be serviced? Can parts be replaced, particularly the motor or related pump and parts? Where can I get it serviced in South Australia?
Your "Details" section states that there is a 5-year Warranty, but it appears that this Gerni product is only covered by a 2-year Warranty. I read your reviews before purchasing the product last week and one of the considerations was the length of warranty. I feel that I have been misled......
I questioned that at the start of purchase. I had to go onto the Gerni web site to activate extended warranty.
How do you adjust the pressure on this machine please? Do I need to be concerned it will cause any damage when used at full power?
Pressure is set. It will depend on how long and how close you leave it in one place. I’m sure it won’t take you long to work it out. I have used mine every week on cars and around the house without issue.
How do you wind on high pressure hose on to the drum roller.
Place the end of the hose under one of the tabs on the drum (choose the end with the smallest fitting as the bigger fitting will hit the main unit at every turn of the handle and jam the drum) You wil...
Read morel essentially be using the hose end fitting to anchor the hose to the drum at the tab point. As you wind the handle this will prevent any slippage of the hose as it winds onto the drum. It can take a bit of practice but for me this works and if there is a better way I would like to know too. It's not really an efficient design as it's for storage only, and if it's too hard just wind it around the handle.Get an answer from our members and Gerni representatives
