I've been using this product for some years now. Up until recently I was getting about 3 weeks usage,
but lately I'm lucky if I get 5 days. Nothing has changed as to where these blocks were fitted to the
toilet bowl. They advertise lasting up to 6 weeks. (false and misleading) Could this be a another way of boosting sales through stealth?
Now looking for another product which is not "Harpic"

I have always used toilet blocks from different companies but this one was a complete waste of money. It lasted only 4 days. On day one the water was so blue and concentrated but after day 4 it completely vanished. There are many cheap brands out there that do better job than this.

I have used this product for a few years now but have found the last few times the product has only lasted three days (in a house with only 2 adults) and not about thirty or so as promised on the packaging. It is not a cheap product and I will be looking for something else to use. Don't purchase if you want value for money.

I have been using these for a while now since they changed from their caged tablets [blocks].Apparently because the cages were unhygienic.I will not be buying anymore now as the blocks suspended on a plastic hook fall off after a while and end up at the bottom of the toilet !!! Useless job !!

Don't waste your money on this Harpic cageless product. All it does is swells up after a few days of minimal flushes then falls away into the toilet bowl. Taking the other packet back that is unopened for a refund. I work to hard to have my money flushed down the toilet.

I noticed these seemed not to be lasting anywhere near as long as earlier purchases of this product so I timed it. 8 days! Like others, thus product used to last several weeks. Given the hassle of opening the new cistern to change the product, I’m looking for an alternative.

Yeah this is just a terrible product just go but the harpic get the pink bottle they randomly put them half price at Coles and woolworths but yeah onto the product it's dissolved quickly

Being buying this product for years and it would last one month now you are lucky if it lasts 5 days. What have done? Is it because it is made in Hungary or just a company grap for money.
Do not buy as it now rubbish.

Use this for years, lasted for about a month, now it is useless less than a week, they have changed something, money grabber for the makers, don't buy it, take off the shopping list.

I have been buying this product for years. It used to last at least a month (not sure exactly how long). I have kept a record lately and find one block lasts 5 days in a home with two people. What have you changed? Not buying them again.

Sorry, but the smell permeates throughout the house and its awful. Will go back to Domestos. Tried this for the first time and maybe it cleans the bowl but who wants to smell this garden waste smell. Bleach itself is quite a nice smell - sorry!

NO it does NOT work, firstly it gets dirty pretty quick with all the disgusting stuff forming on it, second after using it for 3 weeks, toilet gets dirty and i had to thoroughly clean the bowl with a brush and regular toilet cleaner, so why would i spend money to get this crap that doesn't do its job at all???

These Harpic and the Duck Active Blue Freshener toilet Blocks are useless once they use to be very hard and last many months, now can't even get one week. I will no longer use them.

This was my first time using a cageless toilet block and I found the harpic hygienic in rainforest fragrance to be very good. It freshens the bowl in between uses was easy to put in etc. I use white king toilet cleaner in conjunction with the toilet block & have been impressed with the cleanliness of the toilet. I would purchase again. As I said I don't have all that much experience with toilet blocks and would also consider trying a few others to compare to these ones.

There are two of us in our house and we are defo not into toilet fetish....and we change this cleaner about every 2 weeks.....its a big scam, shame there aren't many choices! False Advertising Indeed, Its frustrating...

Just an expensive air freshener that does next to nothing else. How can it clean the bowl when it doesn't even get dispersed around the bowl as they depict on TV commercials? Any flushing water that may come into contact with it goes down at about 45 degrees & does not even come close to rinsing the entire bowl. There is no such thing as a Toilet block that can rinse entire bowl. Get an air freshener instead.

Dont waste your money until they fix the problem that makes the block fall off after a very short time. The say 1000 flushes from the loo but try around 50. So if you like to throw money down the toilet, then this product is for you then. Please fix the issue

These were cheap and simple and work fine enough and got them more on the premis they they contained less plastic than most of the modern ones yet still weren't a disgusting refillable "cage" version of old.
Out of 4 we've had 3 have lasted well and one fell off and dropped down the hole but we moved the next one further away from the strong stream and so they have lasted longer but they they do tend to go from being a nice shiny block into a furry something that looks like someone hung a screwed-up rag in the bowl and it slowly took on the yellow stain unevenly from everybody's urine. Still they easy and cheap.
Cheap, easy to peel away small bit of plastic when finished.

I use these in the 3 toilets within our home (2 being ensuites), they keep the bowl much cleaner and fresher than without. No product in the world negates the need to regularly clean a toilet with brush and cloth!. If you dont like the smell, Close The Lid which is far more hygenic anyway. Much more preferable than the chemicals that sit inside the cystern and eat away the valves and seals and easier to throw away a small piece of plastic than trying to refill a plastic basket like some styles of bowl cleaner - yuk! The Marine and Citrus are nicer smelling than the Lavendar.

Thsi product did not live up to its promises. As stated by other reviewers it does not last the advertised 1000 flushes, instead 'melts' off its hanger to wash uselessly down the toilet. 2 people in a house with 2 toilets and both blocks melted and washed away within 14 days of fitting. No where near 100 flushes.
