Take care with this chair
Having read all the positive reviews about the Herman Miller Aeron - Remastered chair I purchased one about six weeks ago. Nothing but frustration, discomfort, and sore back since. The major problem for me lies with the so-called Posturefit device.
What is not disclosed by the Australian retailers (referenced on the Herman Miller website) nor clearly by the manufacturer is that there are posture options available for this chair. One is the supplied Posturefit, and the other is a lumbar support. After viewing the manufacturer’s video and user b...Read more
ooklet it appeared to me that there is a lumber support with height adjustment. In explaining adjustments for posture there was no disclosure that each section applied to a relevant fitted option. The Posturefit is not a lumber support but a sacrum support with no vertical adjustment to suit individual differences. For me, any attempt to ‘engage’ the Posturefit quickly produced considerable back pain. In essence, the body is thrown forward when sitting in accordance with the user instructions, the sacrum is held in place, and with a straight back you are looking at the desk / keyboard. Looking straight ahead at a monitor involves trying to curve the upper spine backwards. With the Posturefit backed off entirely I am able to sit in the chair but it is not comfortable and still involves unnatural backward curvature of the spine. When the Posturefit is backed off the upper pad falls off as well Sitting in the chair is bearable if I use a pool noodle split in half as a lumber support jammed into the Posturefit torture device. Still working on a solution to this as there are signs the chair might work with a lumbar support in the correct position. Neither the manufacturer nor the Australian retailers offer the lumber support as a separate item on their web sites.Purchased in January 2021.

Nice but not nearly as functional/comfortable as cheaper models.
I've tested this chair, but it has a major fault; you can't set the seat's angles to your preferences and lock it there.
I have an old $400 office chair which is up for replacement, sadly; that one I can set to any angle within (wide) limits and lock it in. Now *that* is comfortable on the long run. This one, however, was not.

Fantastic chair but overpriced
My office recently purchased some of these chairs and there probably the best office chair I've ever used! However these chairs are completely overpriced for anyone looking to purchase a chair for personal use. However if your office offers to purchase one for you I would recommend that you take up their offer.

Very happy with my purchase
After reading the reviews on this website, I bought 3 of them for our company, from Ebay @ $700 each. These are real deal when it comes to sitting at a pc monitor all day. Their wider, comfortable and seem to move and support you as you swivel, slouch and sit up right. Can't think of a better chair.

Engineered for sitting
Read the design goals, and know they have surpassed them with this chair. These are known as the "dot-com" chairs, as most up and coming tech companies buy them for their employees. Many think this is a waste of money, but think how much productivity is gained by employees being able to sit and work for 12+ hours! I am in my first job in 15 years without an Aeron chair being provided, and have asked for one. Will be buying one myself if they don't provide it, as I have a back injury from years ago. Try one of these chairs out and believe t...Read more
he hype. I'm willing to back my 5 star rating with my own money! Extremely adjustable for every body shape (3 different sizes to order), really allows you to sit in it all day! I've seen a few over the years with the up/down component broken.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent
These are the chairs that were supplied to staff in a call centre I used to work in. They are amazing, the webbing really supports your butt and back without any bits digging in. I love that you can easily adjust the chair so you can rock or lean back in it if you want to, take the arms off or move them up and down, in and out. The best chair ever!
The most comfortable office chair you'll ever sit in. you can sit in it all day without any sore backs/butts etc. Dr House has one in the TV show House, so it must be cool!
Super duper expensive (but totally worth it if you work in an office that will buy it for you!)

Excellent
I work from home and bought my Aeron around six years ago after I was leant one to try out. I have a bad back as a result of a car accident many years ago, and the Aeron is easily the most comfortable chair I have ever sat in. The mesh seat and back provide ventilation which is a bonus in warm weather. I went for the polished aluminium finish which, although an expensive option, looks massively classy. If you need to send a lot of time sitting this is THE MOST COMFORTABLE chair you could buy.
Super comfortable, super stylish ... it is love

These are the chairs we use at work. This is the most comfortable office chair i have ever sat on. If i could afford $6000 to buy one, or even $525 for a second hand one from ebay i would totally go for it. I have never gotten a sore back or a sore anything from sitting my butt on this ALL DAY long. It's perfect. I really can't fault it. They are impossible to break.
Super comfortable. Almost impossible to break. Best chair in the world
Expensive, may even be worth more than your second hand car
