We turn off the tv by remote, try to start again but have to wait 15minutes for unit to respond. Had to wait overnight before it would come back on, is this fault in tv or in remote? Amy ideas? Maybe just cope with it? Otherwise we dont mind. Not fussed

Salesman was right, picture quality was lacking for sports - it doesn't handle well the grass background due to low hz. Bought it cause of cheap price but have regretted this. But worse, the remote packed it in after 12 months and it only has a one year warranty, TV has 3. I had JBHiFi extended warranty and they (Lumleys underwritten) refused to replace, stating the ext warranty wouldn't kick in for remote until it was 3 years old. Lunacy! I threatened them with Australian Consumer law and finally got a replacement. So, all up a cheap TV with low grade picture quality and poor service from JBHiFi whose extended warranties are rubbish.

Great TV if you don't like wasting money on over priced bells and whistles. All that extra stuff is fine but when it comes down to my hard earned dollars I have to say I am very happy with this TV and amazed at how long it has lasted and how premium it feels for such a low price. I paid 350 around 9 months ago and still have no issues and has continued working perfectly which is quite a surprise to me. The full HD display has brand new movies playing at 60fps and looks smooth and crisp. The sound is just fine, nothing special but it's clear and sharp and gets loud and stays consistent. Great for video games too.

I bought this TV about 6 months ago, and i must tell that the TV was cheap but not worth it to buy. It is very slow responding which is annoying and have to turn the TV off because the TV it is not responding. The image colour appears unnatural or discoloured.
Price,
slow responding, Image colour unnatural.

I bought this without really testing it at the shop in terms of picture and menu navigation. The jury is still out on weather the built in tuner is average or if it is just me getting used to a largerscreen (55").
The previous TV was also a Hisense, however its menu navigation and EPG was fantastic and quick, loved it. New one is far below the old one and after owning this for a few months now, the EPG menu and the picture quality are the two things that fall short on this model. Another thing I didnt like compared to the old HIsense I owned...
Read more is the control. It feels cheaper, but it is more the layout that I am not a huge fan of. Just seems like buttons are not intuitive. However, watching blu-rays or other HD footage the screen seems to work pretty well. So if you are using a PVR or set-top box, I don't think you would have issues with this TV. I think I will need to buy something like this to enjoy watching TV on this large screen unit, in which case, this is a great screen! The sound on this unit isn't too bad, and it does have a nice clean finish. Still haven't tried the 3D, so cannot comment on that. So really, I'd rate this TV 2.5 stars. Price, HD playback, Sound, Built in tuner average, EPG menu too slow and cumbersome, Control feel and layout
Just to add to this. I got a PVR/STB, and I would now say that the picture is OK on the original tuner. Not as bad as I thought. EPG still sucks
Another plus with this unit is 3yr warranty...
Read more A minus, it is a bit harder to configure other brand remotes to work with Hisense products...I found the sound equal to the top brands, also the picture quality is terrific. I have only had it a short time. I had my resevations in buying a non top brand.
I can only say I have saved myself a lot of money also the 3 year replacement warranty convinced me in the end.
Inexpensive, energy efficient

Actually this Brauhn TV was purchased at Aldi. Lodged an issue with Tempo.com the manufacturers, they put me in touch with a repairer who now has the TV for repair. Will let you know the outcome.
