Hi guys. My rg Colorado 2012 just today came up with service airbag fault on dash. It comes and goes when it feels like, its not consistent at all nor predictable. Not to sure where to start. Any help would be muchly appreciated. Cheers Brad

I have a 2012 Colorado 4x2 .I tried to pull the boat out of the boat ramp and it bogged down,nearly burnt the clutch out in the process.I would guess first gear is too high or engine is way under powered. It is a 2.8lt I thought it would be sufficient.Anyone have the same issues?
we tow a large caravan with ours and taking off on a hill when towing is a problem - too highly geared in 1st - go to lo 4WD for take off - also just replaced the alternator
I have a 2013 Holden colorado rg turbo diesel I've replaced the fuel tank pump module, suction control valve & fuel pressure sensor rail it ran perfect for 3 weeks until 2 days ago when the reduced engine power display come up around 2500rpm if i pull over & restart the car it has full power again, any help?
Hey. Just went to start my 2013 Colorado and it would turn over but not start. Came up with Service ESP on the dash. Kicks over fine the next few times and drive it a short distance, engine light is on. All else seems fine. Any ideas????

Turbo Diesel. Will not hold speed in 5th gear blowing heaps of smoke and when this happens there is no throttle response. Idles great and no problems around town. anyone had this problem and if so what was the cure?

That seems like the conversion is at fault though, it could be something totally different.
I would recommend to take the vehicle to a holden australia workshop or perhaps a reasonable diesel engine specialist workshop may be able to help

Hi guys
We have a 2012 and have had it since brand new, done 157000km
Started it up in the mor ing to go to work and it was making a funny noise so turned it of, then tried to start it again and it just kept kicking over but wouldn't fire. Called RAA out and they checked it and said the timing belt had gone so got it towed to closest mechanic Kmart Auto
They checked it and it was the timing belt tensioner. So had it replaced and also a new belt even though it was done at 150000 service. Just received a call saying the car is put back together and the car still wont start but everything has checked out fine and recommended that we take it to a fuel injector specialist.
Does anyone have any ideas or had similar problem. Cheers

i have rg 2013 and have oil coming out of the coolant recovery bottle, is there a engine oil cooler in the radiator?
my guess would be a blown head gasket between the oil gallery and water gallery and oil pressure being higher than water pressure that's where the oil will travel also check the condition of your oil when cold

check the obvious things like battery status fuses and relays and if its an auto that its not in gear also could disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes and reconnect

How many kms per tank does a Holden colorado RG 4x4 get?
We not got this Holden Colorardo in January 2018.
We drove 7 hours on half a tank diesel. That was about 700 kms for half a tank.
2012 RG Ltz Colorado manual with 210000kms, starts up fine and then after 20 minutes or so and only when stopped and in neutral the car starts to shake or stutter, second time it has done it, stalled on me on a hill threw and engine code about fuel pressure system and racq cleared it and then I had it towed to diesel specialist, sat over the weekend and then they said they couldn’t find any issues? Anyone else had problems like this?

Read morethe only one who said while a scan tool was plugged in and the car appeared to be running fine it was showing some live data which pointed to SCV. Holden didn’t want to touch it telling us we needed an entire injector pump as the don’t sell the SCV on it own, would not even quote me as they have “never done one”. Hoping to find out tomorrow if the SCV has fixed the problem will keep you posted.Mechanic was able to track down a suction control valve and has replaced it. Says the car was showing better then expected numbers once changed. Car seems to be running better and has a lot more pick up. So far it seems to have fixed the issue
