Good size for urban SUV
This is a 2014 model with 1.8 litre engine which we have had for 3 months. Looked at a hatchback car but glad we got this compact SUV instead. It is short, so it's easy to park and the high roof has lots of space inside. It is Easy to get in and out of with a high driving position, and the view is good. The seats and leg room are good. The camera with guide lines and beepers on a large screen is great for this price point. I like having a real 6 speed auto instead of a nasty CVT and I am sure it will be more reliable. The basic engine is simple and unstressed, I don't know about the 1.4 turbo however which replaced it. For the price Trax looks cool and is nice to drive, so I give it a thumbs up.

Suits our family well
This is a budget suv but suits our family well for the price. Love the reverse camera factory inbuilt, easy to drive and reasonably comfortable. My husband finds it a little bit squishy and not so roomy & I do notice how small the interior is when all 3 of us are in it.. But for a run around it's great!

Love my Holden Trax
I've just bought a Holden Trax. I love it so much. It cruises along with no troubles. The turbo has enough grunt in it to pick up speed in the smaller motor. Not a thing I could say wrong about it. It's a beautiful car. I got it in Absolute Red. No one misses me passing them now.
Purchased in June 2021 for A$24,000.00.

Great small SUV
I spent lots of time researching the small /medium SUVs and I liked RAV4, Captiva ( Active ), Mazda CX 3 and 5 and Holden Trax. As I'm 6'4" I needed an SUV with good headroom and not too low to get in and out. almost bought RAV4 but was disappointed that 2017 RAV4 didn't have Apple CarPlay and they still have the old navigation system, also the TRAX and RAV4 would be almost same height. I had to choose TRAX LS model because this one doesn't have a sunroof and gives more headroom. My previous car had sunroof but only used the sunroof few times....Read more
I'm very happy about the purchase as it drives so well... very comfortable and everything works as it it should. The Turbo engine got so much power and punch. The back seats are comfortable as well. Like the rear view camera as it shows how the car will turn while reversing according to how the steering wheel is turned. Got rear parking sensors ( would have liked to have forward sensors too but not available ). The led running lights are great. Went for a drive to the hills and the car didn't have any problem to get to the speed limits. Not as good milage as advertised 6.7 L / 100 km. My Trax is mainly driven in the city and it's doing about 8.1 L / 100 km. I'm very happy with the vehicle and the latest technologies the car offers. Would recommend this car to anyone. I read some reviews people complaining that Trax needs Premium Unleaded fuel which is more expensive. When I bought the car I asked my dealer and he said it's not compulsory to use premium fuel. He told me to use premium fuel for the first few fill-ups and then use normal fuel. The car came with a full tank fuel ( thanks to Metro Holden Adelaide ). I've noticed that premium unleaded gives better milage but same milage per $ at the end. 2 months Update Been using this car for over 2 months now. Did great milage on long distance trips and on highways. 1000 km service was good and I didn't have to pay anything as according to the deal. the car drives great. Have done some trips to the hills and it drives great. 1 year UpdateSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

L0ve my Trax so far have no complaints great on fuel easy to get in and out of no more back aches when travelling long distances. It rides so well plenty of storage when seats laid right down. Plenty of leg space front and back. The servicing at Hamilton Holden is excellent no CD player which i miss but overall excellent suv

Love it
I purchased my trax 2 weeks ago and am absolutely loving it. Total pleasure to drive.
Just love everything about this car.
Would also like to mention that the service I received from wilsons holden was exceptional, with a special mention to the business manager Kraig who was brilliant in assisting with my finance application and completing my purchase.

Great car goes really well, fuel consumption, no problems with car so far. Only thing i dont like is the sound system wish they still put cd players in cars. As im an older person and have lots of cds that i cant play in this car. But apart from that great drive.

Bang for buck its unbeatable.
Shopped around and it was best bang for buck in this category. servicing until 2020 was also included. bonus. pretty easy to drive and live with. safe and I cant complain about this car for what I paid for. happy that this was around 5k cheaper than similar rivals only tad better interior and no servicing included. this car has sold more than 400,000 units worldwide since 2013 under GM. I can see why.

Excellent small but very roomy car
I stand 6'3" (187 cm), age 78 years, male.
Excellent high set seating position, good all round vision, easy to park, and reverse with camera. Light and easy to drive.
Quiet and comfortable travelling with very good legroom and acceleration when needed. The instruments are easy to see and to read.
The cabin is nicely designed but has a lot of hard plastic in it, a soft surface would be better - the seats are very comfortable and supportive.
So far very reliable with reasonable running costs - not so sure about the necessity for 9 monthly service though.
The sales and mechanical staff of the dealership where I got it knew their job and their product and offered an excellent experience and service.

great city runabout
Have owned one week.Ex demo(1000km)so was a bargain.5 speed manual LS 1.8.Is for the wife who loves it and it has a little bit of a different look I suppose.I have had a couple of drives.Very comfortable seats and drive.Everything works as it should.I haven't had a chance to use the 230v plug in rear..which is different.Saves buying an invertor if you needed it.Easy to use touch screen with everything on it.Could even be a distraction to a bored driver.Like the usb in the top glove box(like my polo)for usb thumbdrive full of music.Beautiful me...Read more
tallic blue colour.Think it was made in Korea which is ok as I have had good experiences with there builds. Also very quiet drive and easy gear changes, not vague like some.I guess really the only feature missing is the 6th gear for longish highway runs, but considering the traffic,is really not a deal breaker.Rear camera a much needed inclusion which you would expect in a compact suv today.Capped price servicing/5yr warranty a bonus..Holden Clarkson in Western Australia a pleasure to deal with.Happy with the purchase, maybe wife will let me drive her car this weekend.*An added note.I had the chance to ride in the back seat recently. Please be careful and slow for your passengers if approaching a speed hump or transversing a kerb. The jarring you will experience as a back seat passenger is quite horrendous. Also the buckle straps for the back seat passengers are far too short.Jump in as an adult and have a go at putting on your seatbelt....that is if you dont lose the buckle behind/below the back seat. You will see what I mean.A little bit annoying and takes some contortions to click into.place.Is an oversight i can/have to live with unless i bring up as a design fault and get them to rectify. In fact i might. Also the tacho died and car went into limp home mode.Car had a crank sensor code, with the sensor promptly replaced by.Holden.No biggie, these all machines that have issues sometimes.and to me is not a negative for the car 12000km on the odo now.Would still recommend.Similar opinion? Good car for the money
I bought this car to replace my Terios 4x4 . It took me 1 year to make up my mind and as my mum had a stroke I needed a more up to date car and the Trax won I had a few criteria that it had 2 fill - High seating for ease of getting in and out - boot has to carry a wheel chair - The doors have to be a good size to allow a disable person to get around and out freely- Leg room in the front had to be good as well for this reason - had to have a reversing camera and sensors -Bluetooth with a good touch screen and GPS . It has all of the above ....Read more
The only down fall was that the GPS was run though your smart phone but with more investigation I found it was to my advantage no regular update fees from the dealer and they can be very expensive to update as well It can cost up to $500 to do this once a year so the $50 fee for the app for 3 years ( I was expecting that to be a yearly fee but when I payed it said it was for 3 years ) with updates automatically done, and it uses very little phone data to operate have used it 4 times and its an excellent mapping system . The other thing I have had to adapt to coming from a small 4x4 is that the front Bumper and skirting below is lower than I was use to even though it sits high as an SUV they have front panels sit low, well lower than what I was use to It didn't take long to adjust to the new clearance height . Other than that its perfect and a very comfy ride would highly recommend this car and its easy to park as wellSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
