Different sizes have different colours, assuming you're in Australia - green, but get a decent quality. Cheers

Hi sandeep.munjal.18,

My name is Dylan, and I work in the marketing drpartment at Honda Power Equipment. Thanks for your question. Late last year Honda introduced Hedgetrimmer and Pruner attachments that are designed to connect with the UMK425 and UMK435 brushcutters. By edge cutter, do you mean hedgecutter/hedgetrimmer? If so, you're in luck! You can find out more about them here: http://powerequipment.honda.com.au/Latest_News/20120917/Introducing_Hondas_New_Brushcutter_Hedgetrimmer_And_Pruner_Accessories

There isn't an Edger attachment for the brushcutter. You may be interested, however, in our all-new VersaTool, which combines 8 attachments - including an edger and a brushcutter - with the one 25 or 35 cc Power Head. More info can be found at www.versatool.com.au.

I hope that helps,
Dylan

I was wondering if anyone may be able to answer a question for mr. My father in law was generous to pass his UMK435U to me as he has no use for it anymore. I want to use for my edges. can i cut vertically with this unit, and if so how?

I seem to be able to get a good edge just by keeping a steady hand and the cutter level. I guess if you wanted to cut into the ground, you could tilt the head, or go to your local Honda dealer to see if there is an edger attachment. I mainly brought my machine to cut through around an acre on a steep hill (well too steep for my ride-on), and it does the job admirably.

Hi Frank D, my name's Dylan and I work here at Honda Power Equipment head office. Do you have the UMK435 with the Loop Handle or the Bike Handle? If the Loop Handle, then you should be OK to operate the brushcutter on an angle. However, the Bike Handle version of the UMK435 is built for slashing horizontally only, and Honda would not recommend using it on an angle for your own safety. If you want to convert your Bike Handle to a Loop Handle you would need the assistance and expertise of an authorised Honda dealer, however this could be quite a costly procedure. To find your closest dealer, visit http://dl.hondampe.com.au I hope that helps. Regards, Dylan

Hi Honda Cutter and Dylan. Thanks for the advice guys, it's much appreicated. Honda Cutter I'll try you method. I already have an edger which is great as I live on a corner block with quite a bit of edges to cut, but there are some places it can't get into but hte Honda trimmer can. Dylan, I don't think it's ncecessary to go to any grea expense to modify the bike handle to the loop handle given the amount of use it will get, however I do appreciate you advice.

Hi babalot, this is Dylan from Honda Australia's Power Equipment head office here. Your best option would be the UMS425 Bent Shaft Brushcutter. It's got an easy-grip loop handle and a bent shaft for excellent manoeuvrability. It also has a 4 year domestic warranty and is powered by a 25cc, mini 4-stroke engine. It's our flagship brushcutter and is actually on sale at the moment, retailing for $299 (save $70). Head to http://dl.hondampe.com.au/ to find your closest authorised Honda dealer. I hope that helps :)

Additionally, Honda doesn't make any ride-on mowers. We do, however, supply engines to a few different Australian manufacturers. To be able to offer "Powered by Honda" products, these manufacturers - and their products - must pass strict tests so you can rest assured that they'll do the job right! Head to http://poweredby.honda.com.au/Ride_Ons for details of our partners.
