Good swamp cooler

published

This unit has a 40l water tank and can use the whole lot in a day easily. That's a good thing as that's what keeps you cool. There is a hose attachment for a permanent connection. It cools best on 32C - 36C days with low humidity, hotter than that I have to turn on the AC. Power use is 140w, compared to my split system which is 11,500w, with electricity at over 30c/kwh you can see the attraction. It is noisy. It's also great for our indoor/outdoor space as it's on rollers

Could you please advise on you low humidity 32 degree days just how much it actually lowered the temperature? I have bought a cheap one and, althought the membrane is wet, it does not lower the temperature a single degree. Relative humidity was 35%
