Glorified fan
Really we can’t tell a significant difference between cool and fan mode.
Easy to operate, seems well built .
What else to say in thirty words.
Five four three two one.
Purchased in December 2022 at Harvey Norman for $359.

Quietly does its job
Purchased this cooler at christmas and recently put itbto the test after two consecutive 40° days. It took the edge of the heat and this was an entire house, albeit no a large one. Had the cooler had been icolated to one room. The result would have been much improved, but as l say itbtook the edge off, by an estimated 7-8
We purchased this product because it is easy to move around, yes as the name sujests it is portable. However, some are quite heavy and difficult to move, my partner is in a wheelchair and it was imperative that she be able to...

Very Noisy, still cools the room though
I cannot say that I am very satisfied with a product, however, what can one expect from a small portable air conditioner. To me it works more like a fan, makes lots of noise. I cannot hear the TV if it is in use and need to increase TV volume. It is also not possible to sleep with this unit running. Need to spend more money and buy something more substantial.

Noisy & ineffective
I thought this might be a cheaper option for cooling the bedroom. Big mistake. First, the noise it makes is roughly comparable to a helicopter taking off. Good luck trying to sleep with it in the same room. Second, it just doesn't cool. I tried filling it with iced water, even adding ice cubes. No difference. It circulates the air, as any fan would. But any cooling effect is so minimal as to be indiscernible. It's also a clunky, cumbersome design. Hard to fill, hard to clean. I returned mine to the store with a week and demanded my money back, since the salesman assured me it was an efficient cooler. The resignation with which he processed my refund suggested I wasn't the first dissatisfied customer.

Best evaporation cooler I've owned (after year)
I have bought a number of the years and the inability to clean them out means once they get mouldy you have to 'chuck' them. This one is easy (4 screws) to clean the filter, but even better is that the top clips off and you can also clean out the tank. So before you put it away for winter you can give it a thorough clean and never have mould. The other feature which I love is that it alarms when the water is out and even turns off the water pump. Again I've had multiple over the years just burn out the water pump as it keeps running.

Read morew, caveats, I live in Canberra so we get dry heat so works great in that environment, in my home office goes from 40c and completely sweltering to actually pleasant. You could un-clip the top and put in a large ice block I guess if you wanted, but so far I haven't needed to. My biggest grip is that the family keeps taking it...So-so/not the greatest
I think even 3 stars is a bit too much, more like 2-1/2 stars - somewhere between 'bad' and 'ok'. The product description states it cools a small room up to 175 sq ft - clearly, it does no such thing. We have it in our bedroom, which is quite modest and small in size and on a very warm day the room feels no differently than when before we bought the product. On a hot day, the room's temperature remains as that of an oven, even with the system on all day long. It feels like a somewhat glorified fan and one has to be literally in front of the...
Read more thing at a distance of no more than 1 foot away from it in which to reap any of its benefits. At least it doesn't fan hot air as would a regular fan, but its just 'somewhat' cool air, none the less and not very effective. Its nice that it has features like fan speed, cooling system, timer, and oscillator, but the cooler part of it is poor and again not very effective what so ever. Also, the unit is heavy and doesn't move around all that easily, even with it being on wheels. Though the timer is nice for when you want to fall asleep, the fan is very noisy, so you can forget falling asleep with it on. And during a series of days of consistent heat, one has to refill the tank with water every day, which is a pain since it takes up to 10 ltrs of water. Think we spent $278 including shipping cost ($239 for unit). If you're looking for a good cooling system, don't stop and ponder over this product, but rather, move on. I did read a couple of reviews before buying it, but obviously they were a bit biased and the reviews were probably from the company themselves. Synopsis? Look elsewhere. Product was bought off of Ebay, but from a proper chain home wares store and brand new, so there would be no reason for it to be a poor product. Very disappointed!
