Never EVER buy Briggs & Stratton
Needing a mower in a hurry (my other 2 mowers, both B&S, were in for repair) I bought the Husky. Based on years of use of their chainsaws, hedge trimmers, blowers, brushcutters, I thought - how could I go wrong?
Almost immediately I notice the motor is hard to start. 10 pulls for a new motor to start is not on. Then I notice the weight - this is a heavy piece of equipment. I have to carry this thing up stairs, and push it up slopes. After a day I'm exhausted, it's like pushing a ride-on.
Then I notice the poor design of the handles...Read more
. The cross bar gets in the way of the handle of the catcher when replacing it. Really basic design flaw; seriously, did anyone even beta test this? But the worst part is the serious lack of power. One job, which in 20 years has never taken more than 2 hours, had me still working on the backyard after 4 hours. In the end I had to take this mower home and complete the job with a dirty, 30 year-old 2-stroke I had under the house. This Husky is the worst mower I've ever owned. Period. And the last time I'll ever waste money on anything associated with Briggs & Stratton. I've since gone back to Honda.

It doesnt live up to its brands reputation
I chose the Husqvarna as having owned several chain saws which where all brilliant, and a friend has a ride on with a Briggs and Stratton motor and no issues at all with those products . thus a push mower from the same company would be equal to that standard, sadly the Briggs and Stratton 700 series motor is easily flooded if it doesn't start straight off, no fuel isolation tap just the float to seal off fuel . I realize new mowers are rev limited lower for noise and emission regulation but that lack of power makes long grass or wet difficult t...Read more
o cut .i had it back to the dealer and raised these issues the response is it is performing normal ? If you only have short dry grass and dont mind dealing with starting issues some days then it is ok, as it is still better than a lot of the other brands out there now.For a recommendation i would say by a HondaSimilar opinion? Orange, the new colour of a lemon
Looks the goods but struggles to meet the basic needs of a mower. Mulches horribly and has been back to the dealer twice inside six months. Now having issues starting it and am struggling with the dealer and manufacturer as this mower just isn’t good enough for the money spent. Wont be buying husqvarna ever again.

Excellent product
The mower cuts with ease I have buffalo grass which is very thick but the mower is bery easy to maneuver through the lawn. The mower is a four stroke which makes it easy to fuel up with no need to mix oil in the fuel. I like the fact that it's easy to start and would be great for anyone to use.

Great mower no issues after three years
Cutting thick grass in Cairns has been a breeze with the 19a, always a good result and it smashes through thick buffalo without issue. I keep my blades sharp and always check oil and filters, always rewarded with a great mow
Will caution that it’s a heavy mower, if you are lacking in strength maybe this mower is not for you

Will do a reasonable job if you mow twice.
The cut is very poor and requires a second cut. It seem to matter what cutting hight is used or how slow you push it
It doesn't catch the clippings very well.
The mower is badly balanced and too heavy.
It starts easily but seems to lack blade speed.
Overall, it is overpriced and underperforms.
Badly designed.

OK once you can get it started
UPDATE 30th March 2020 - Don't buy one of these mowers! For the second time in 3 years the motor has seized. The company won't do anything about.
Good mower with a large cutting blade. It can be very difficult to start especially after sitting for a couple of weeks. It has an automatic choke and once started runs really well and cuts the grass on my acre of gardens very well. Does use a little much petrol, but the larger engine and the 19 inch cutting blade probably causes that. Has a good range of height adjustments that handle all situations. Well built.

Great Disappointment
Replace a 25 year old Victa Mustang with this unit. Has done very little work as it is hard to start despite the fact that it claims otherwise on the engine cover (just reinforces why I should not have bought something with a Briggs and Stratton engine).
The catcher is absolute rubbish - a gumnut smashed a hole straight through it and the "filters" on the side clog easily and then fall apart. Unit will not throw damp grass to the back of the catcher and forget about trying to cut wet grass with the mower as it is almost useless at this - e...Read more
ven with the cut set at the highset setting. Only thing in its favour is that as a four stroke you don't have mix two stroke fuel - by comparison with the Mustang (which has a Vortex function on the blades disk) it is even poor at picking up dry grass. And whoever the dumb designer was that came up with "agressive" looking treads across the face of the wheels clearly doesn't have dogs! Treads are a great dog doing catcher - as well as wet grass - and the front wheels also collect grass around the axles.............. Not the quality I expected from the Husqvarna brand - only reason I didn't buy a Honda powered unit of a similar size is that they too have terrible catchers (clog at the entry with wet grass) and have the dumb and unecessary auto-stop when you take your hands off the handle........... If you are too dumb to use a mower safely without it turning off when you go to remove the grass catcher you should get someone else to mow your lawns............Similar opinion? Great mower
Recently bought the LC19A and so far it's been an unreal mower.
Very happy with the way it cuts and catches. I mulch the front yard and along the front and rear nature strips and the mulching feature works very well with their "bioclip" process cutting the mulch nice and fine.
Yes it's a big heavy mower but that doesn't bother me, it's easy to move around the yard and around trees etc. with its larger ball bearing wheels and good handle set up.
Always starts on the second pull, plenty of power and nice and quiet.
At first I was a little dis...Read more

great ! Loads of power and torque.
As my lawns were up to 'crutch high' (I am 6'), was expecting some tough work. The mower coped on half throttle easy. The obligatory second pass to make sure I got all the grass was it. All down to the highest setting. I will chop down to about fourth or fifth height setting, then looks like will be able to mow on at 'idling' revs.
The only complaint is that the stickers have all come off with washing it after use?? Even the Husqvana logo!!

Great Mower - Easy to Start
Great mower. A little heavy to lift. Starts 1st time every time. Cuts grass with a clean finish. As with all 4 strokes, don't put too much oil in as it can get messy. I use the mulched which makes it so easy. Definitely would recommend this mower for anybody who wants professional results

Beware of this mower!
Recently bought a Husqvana LC19A from a reputable dealer on the Central Coast. Did my homework, read reviews, etc. Had a Honda that lasted me 15 years and had it serviced once. It was a great mower and would recommend them all day long. So why buy a Husqvana I hear you say, good question. They have made the new Honda's completely different to the older model's so I tried to get a similar type to my old mower, bad move. The Husqvana cost me over $700.00 dollars and is nothing like my old faithful. From day one it took 10 to 15 pulls to start the...Read more
mower, asked the dealer and that was apparently normal just get them to have a look at it on its first service which was suppose to cost me $25. The mower is very heavy when it's on the lawn and takes a lot of strength to do a normal size lawn. Paint around body is peeling off, also normal again from dealer and catcher is a bit of a nightmare to empty. Took it in for it's 5 hour running time service and at this time was taking at least 20 pulls to get it started. Dealer informed me they would look at it while doing the service. On picking up the mower I was told the carby was filthy and blocked so they had to clean it long story short cost me $90 for this service "wow" only mowed the lawn three times and washed it down after every use. Would definitely not recommend this mower save your money and buy a Honda you won't be sorry.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Is there a replacement to the mulching disc?
Its a pain in the ......
I have an early model electrolux made by husky which doesnt make cow pies on damp grass.

Not sure, all I got with mine was the mulch plastic insert which goes in the grass shoot on the back and the catcher. To be honest I don't mulch as my grass is super thick and I hate the kids dragging grass in all the time!
Think that the mulching plug is the only thing that makes it a "mulching" mower. (Mine' s a LC19)
My plug came loose and was chewed up by the blades and was just replaced with a view of increasing it's trade in value.
