The Europe factor without the Euro poverty, my initial impressions.
My aunt and uncle had Hyundai's, they proved to be pretty good cars with little going wrong with them. My aunt had a 2000 model Hyundai Getz, and my uncle had a 1990 Hyundai excel manual, and that was a mighty car.
I think the two PD i30 actives are representatives of the improvements over the past model, and looks and feels Euro. The cars were borrowed for a while, and the cars have proven to be very well equipped and at a far better price than the Euro competitors. Where you will get poverty in a base model Euro i.e. VW, Audi, etc, unless y...Read more
ou opt for one of many packages and the ridiculous ups-selling involved, the i30 is generously equipped, and is pretty good overall. The 2.0l atmo petrol feels a little asthmatic, the conventional auto feels pretty good. The dual clutch tranny on the 1.6 turbo petrol and diesel feels a touch rough, but is rather a characteristic of a dual clutch around town at low speeds. The 1.6 turbo petrol is willing despite very slight lag. Not as refined as a conventional epiglide auto, and don't inch forward all the time in traffic with the 1.6DCT. take it out of gear and let it sit in neutral if you are stuck in traffic and are stationary for any period of time. Constant inching forward is very bad for a DCT. But still capable, and able to be lived with. The ride feels quite composed and steering feels quite sharp and direct. Though the higher trim models I believe come with a slightly firmer ride than base models. The front seats are comfortable but lack the comfort of the higher spec seats in the i30 premium variant due to the absence of heating and cooling as well as adjust-ability. Seat functionality is more limited in lower spec but better than many cheaper competitors. Whilst the i30 premium diesel is my car to buy, If you don't have a good understanding of diesel car preventative maintenance, or lack the inclination for maintaining the DPF on a diesel, or you just hate picking up the diesel nozzle at the bowser, go with petrol. it makes the most sense for virtually all car buyers. Petrol makes sense for 99% of modern day urban driving car buyers.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Love my car!!
Amazing car! Feels so sporty and zippy to get where you need to go! I drive my car everyday, whether it be to and from work or just a casual weekend drive and it never misses a beat!
Only down fall is if you have long legs, the back seat is definitely a squeeze.
Purchased in October 2021 at Hyundai Dealers for $25,000.00.

Find out how Huyndai i30 PD 1.6L Turbo Diesel CRDi compares to other Hatchbacks
Know better, choose better.
Compact space efficient hatch
Good build quality and spacious cabin. The luggage area accommodates two full suit cases and back seat accommodation is spacious for this class of car. The cabin style is uninspiring, and the ergonomics from a driver perspective is not ideal. This seems to be a car you sit in rather than cosseting you in the way a Golf does. The seats are firm although reasonably supportive but I wouldn’t call it comfortable. The massive infotainment screen seems crudely designed and whilst it does have Apple CarPlay, without SatNav, the ugly screen is in ...Read more
an irritating intrusion into the dashboard view. The car has average economy, and seems below that of European hatches in this class, rarely getting below 7.5km/100 litres. The base petrol engine in auto form is lively, coping with Australian speed limits. but don’t expect performance motoring. Handling is second rate. This is a car that has to be navigated cautiously through corners at the recommended speed limit otherwise expect nasty handling surprises such as a tipsy feeling and ploughing into corners or sudden body lurches. Under heavy braking from speed the I30 has trouble maintaining a straight line. However, if you’re just after a no nonsense practical city car, then this car fulfils that remit well. It’s curious that Hyundai can produce a performance version of this car when the base car is so wanting dynamically.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great fuel economy
Rented this on a recent trip to Brisbane - Wowo I loved it. Boy has this brand come along since I was a kid and they are getting into the performance side of things with the N series too now which are rivalling VW Golf. I really couldn't fault the car in any way - perhaps finish quality on some of the internal surfaces if you pushed me but it was not a problem. Mine was an auto an it was getting under 6l per100kms on the freeway - outstanding!

Great and reasonably priced medium sized car
We bought this car as a second car for the household. Includes, reverse camera, stylish accessories, android play and was also recorded as one of the best hatch back cars. We have had no disappointments so far. Excellent pick up, seats are comfortable and great body for a hatch back car.

Impresssive
Very impressed with my first Hyundai. Got the Active model with 1.6L turbo diesel motor. Very swift and economical. Beats my old corolla and Forester off the line easily and I'm getting 5.0Lt/100Km since new which was 1700km ago. Heaps of features included, the big screen has sat nav that works better than my tomtom and the DAB+ digital radio is great, but not in tunnels. My only regret is saying no to the salesman when being tempted witt he next model up, I now wish I had paid a bit more for the full suite of safety features, start button and bigger wheels. Not complaining though, this car is absolutely bullet proof, I love it.
