Looks great but stains !!
Two years now with this induction cook-top. I went with this after trying out a Bosch.
Pros - great price with 5 year warranty from IKEA. Easy to use. Large led numerical display.(no need for reading glasses) Looks great in the white form as opposed to black.
Cons - beautiful in white but it stains and can't be removed. After that happened, I started using paper towels under the base of the pan to stop further staining. I have yet to contact IKEA about this but based on the previous review with the same issue, not hoping for any resolution. Will update accordingly.
Does not sit flush with the bench top so quarterly lifting of the base to clean.
Typical poorly made Ikea product
The good: it's white, that's all.
The bad: it squels, it runs very hot underneath and heats up the bench top, and after a few weeks of light use, developed small brown/yellowing marks. After contacting Ikea support, very arrogant and unhelpful, just looking for excuses and making accusations.

Quick to heat, easy to use, looks great
This cooktop is very easy to use and very efficient, it heats up really quickly and looks fantastic. It has a function where you can join two of the elements together and I have found that very helpful when using large pans. One small problem is the quality of the sound when you have the power button going. It can be quite loud other than that it’s a great little thing. I specifically like the timer which is an easy to use and very handy feature
Show detailsGet a wind up timer because you can't hear the oven alarm
The oven itself is great, but the timer is very soft and can be barely heard above an exhaust fan if you are in the kitchen. Forget trusting the oven alarm to remind you to check the pizza while sitting in a lounge and watching TV a few metres away: your pizza will burn. I contacted IKEA regarding the volume, and there are no setting options available. Staff in store were unable to help as the ovens are not plugged in. Essentially they said it is a warranty issue. It's been more than a month, and I haven't heard anything else from them.
I had an older IKEA oven and the volume of the timer wasn't an issue. I'm not sure why they have done this. Don't buy the 2020 model unless you can check out the alarm volume in store.

New Tech Makes Horrible Squealing Sound
Bought induction cooktop, paid electrician to install, straight away we noticed an ear piercing sound when being used with Ikea’s own induction cookware. Ikea sent out their guy who said we have to use cast iron cookware, which is NOT communicated by Ikea before buying the cooktop. I called Qld Fair Trading and was informed Ikea would not only have to refund the money for the induction cooktop but also the electrician’s install and uninstall fee.
Besides the ear piercing sound, it looks great and heats up super fast.
Questions & Answers
Has anyone had error message EA flashing on their cooktop. Turning off at the powerpoint does not remove the error code
YES! I called Ikea and they organised a third party repairer. They reset the stove, but the issue recurred the first time I used the stove after they left (and after every time I have reset it).
3 'bot'/IM conversations, 9 calls and 3 hours (mostly on hold) later I am still waiting for ikea to fix /replace the product.
Loving the product (when it works), not loving the customer service.
Thanks. It was determined that it was not hardwired when installed prior to us owning the property, so probably the reason. Replaced now with a new cooktop. Pity because I liked the functions on the Ikea cooktop
