ONE SET LASTED RIGHT THROUGH MY THREE GRANDCHILDREN

published

I bought the full set of bowls, plates, cups and cutlery as soon as I found out I was to be a grandmother, in 1999. They are still in perfect condition although that baby is now 19 and working; his brother is nearly 18, and little sister is 12. I gave the bowls away to my dog obedience club to use as food refusal holders, and they commented that they looked new and was I sure I wanted to part with them! A fabulous "bread and butter" set.

Love love it!

These spoons have been my son's best friend when it comes to eating and playing too. Easy grip, easy to clean, sturdy, and comes in fun colours. Always happy with Ikea products since they're cheap but they do the job. I even use it for my own self sometimes! Happy with it.

spoons a bit big

Love the new Kalas range of childrens tableware form Ikea
the cutlery has improved but I feel that the spoons are still a little large for childrens mouths as it causes more mess when feeding themselves
great bright colours that kids love set of 18 pieces for like $2 is a bargain

New and better

published

They've changed the designs on the whole IKEA kalas range, and I have to say I'm very impressed. The new range is much better. Even I found the knife with the old range to be a little awkward to use. The spoons aren't at big with the new ones either, which I feel is a little better for younger children.
Better colours. Everyday low price. Better knife and spoon.
IKEA needs to be available in more places.

Party perfect for kids of all ages.

published

I bought a couple sets just over a year ago for my son's 9th birthday party, because I wanted to avoid disposables and wasn't sure I wanted to trust kids in the yard with our "good stuff". Since then, we've used them for snacks outside with neighbor kids, taking to picnics, our own or larger gatherings where everyone else is using throw-aways. They hold up fine, don't look like "baby" stuff but are funky and kinda fun-looking. I recommend them.
Inexpensive but not flimsy

We bought these for when our son starts eating solid meals but they are so fun and bright that sometimes we use them ourselves. They are very good quality and sturdy. I even went out and bought an extra set for our picnic basket.
Bright colours, cheap, good quality.

They are a cheap funky option, which kids love using. Not only do they love the colours you don't have the fear that they can gouge out our dinning table or stab themselves, but the plastic is strong enough to not bend when trying to cut and pick up food. They are also really handy option for play-doh & outdoor play when they are looking for a spoon, knife and fork.
Cheap, colourful, durable, thick enough handles for little hand to hold on to, easy to clean, kids love them to eat with.
Fork prongs bend a little and make it harder for kids to get meat onto the fork.

I have been very impressed with the quality of this range of cutlery from IKEA that is fantastic to use for little children as they are being weaned or are starting to use cutlery themselves. They are made from a very sturdy plastic material and come in a range of colours and you get a decent amount in each packet. They are also very inexpensive compared to most other cutlery targeted at children.
Easy to clean, very sturdy plastic cutlery that is great for little hands and babies learning how to eat. Very affordable compared with other childrens cutlery and these will last.

This range of plastic cutlery from Ikea is perfect to have in the house when you have a child learning to eat. The cutlery is very affordable and only costs a few dollars and I have always found them to be available when I have looked for them in the stores. They are easy for little hands to hold and are a very sturdy design. Heaps cheaper than buying other types of cutlery targeted at children. You will save money buying these. They also wash very well.
A great range of plastic cutlery that can be used for babies and toddlers. Cheap and come in a great range of colours.

Great product, much cheaper than other childrens brands from department stores and does the same job. You will always end up with teeth marks in kids utensils and I don't think many of us would spend alot of money when they know that is going to happen. THese packs come with alot of items so you never run out!
Easy to use, bright and colourful - making feeding times fun! Can give each child a different colour and they know which set is theirs.
shows teeth marks after a while.

Part of a larger plastic cutlery and crockery set, these knives, forks and spoons are just the right size for all the different stages of early childhood - from using the spoon for feeding a baby their solids food to dessert for a pre-schooler to outdoor eating with the picnic basket.
Brightly coloured, non-breakable, dishwasher friendly, and very economical, these Ikea kids cutlery set are a fantastic and an essential item for every kitchen which serves food up to littlies.
Nothing - however availability is an issue and I wish that there was more than one Ikea store in Victoria as the current store is difficult to get to.
