The quality is great. The cotton construction is durable, it is breathable, and it allows for easy storage when I need more space. I can easily move and air the futon mattress as opposed to my previous mattress.

It took me weeks to get used to sleeping on it as I have slept on contemporary mattresses all my life. But once I got used to it, I've had great night's sleep. Sleeping on it assisted in improving my posture as well.

Bought 2 queen futons. Feels like we live in Japan again :) Very firm bedding. Neck and back (bra strap area) no longer hurt daily! Kids sleep so well too and 'fight' me for the futons. Don't know why we waited so long to buy them, should have bought them years ago!

Fantastic advice and help to find the right product. I suffer from PTSD and have not gotten much sleep, due to the fact that I fell out of my bed because of nightmares. The Futon is made to a high standard. We are happy with our purchase and can highly recommend. It is very supportive and comfortable and quality of my sleep has improved. We had some delays with delivery but Richard helped with contacting the shipping agency and sorted it out.

I had been thinking about purchasing a futon for a while and settled on one from Japanache after researching for a while. I wanted a bed I could put away during the day so that my room could be used differently during the day (I sharehouse, so have a malleable space is important). The semi-double is perfect for this. During the day I fold it up into the corner and I can use it as a spot to sit and read, while I then have enough floor space to do Pilates or whatever else I feel like. It did take a couple of nights to adjust to how firm it is (compared to a western mattress) but now that I've acclimatised I find it so comfy and soft.

Hard yet soft feeling of the Futon. Feel more hygienic to use as it can be easily move outdoor to air under the sun. It helps for my neck and shoulder pain. I sleep better compared to my previous mattress. I do not feel the movement of the person sleep beside me compared to last mattresss. I believe my futon will be durable.

The futon was as described - a genuine Japanese futon. Beautifully made and excellent cotton quality. And good to sleep on too! Highly recommended and the manager was a very pleasant fellow.

Just had the futon for almost a week now, and I must say, i kinda wish I had this before when I was growing up. The moment I got my hands on it, I was absorbed in, not wanting to leave. That back problem I had for a while, completely dimenished I tell you. I get rather good sleep because my back was getting better nowadays. The futon is also quite flexible and durable too! Love this mattress, I have it just on vinyl flooring and it is definitely much harder than a traditional western type mattress but if you are used to sleeping on very hard beds or sleeping on the floor then this is super comfy.

We purchased 4 single futons about 4 5 weeks ago. Followed the instructions on the leaflet that was provided to us. We are all sleeping very well. Its like being in Japan again. Very comfortable. A bit more maintenance. I aired them all a couple of weeks ago which was great. They regained their shape after that. Dont miss my heavy mattress. Depending on your preference you might need to purchase 2 singles one on top of each other so its a bit softer.
