Firm fitting, amazing sound.
I ended up with these by accident, my husband left his noise cancelling headphones in a taxi overseas, had to buy new ones at Hong Kong airport, got these by mistake and gave them to me as crappy noise cancelling headphones. Well, that would be because they are not noise cancelling AT ALL and never claimed to be. It would be nice if they were, but their MO is amazing sound for at the gym, and they do that well.
The sound quality is undeniably amazing. The bluetooth connectivity is trouble free, much less glitchy than the in-ear sports earbuds ...Read more
I usually use for the gym. The removable-for-washing earpieces are an excellent touch. The headphones sit really firmly and stay in place while running etc. This is good but is also where the downside comes in for me - I can't wear them comfortably with my glasses, because they're too snug and push the arms of my glasses into my head uncomfortably. This has never been an issue with any other on-ear headphones I've used, these ones are particularly snug. Also, even without glasses on, I did feel some ear strain after an hour of wear. So, it's good they're snug in that they stay put throughout activity, but it also makes them slightly less easy to wear long-term for me. After many wears, I still struggle to make good use of the feature they have where you can tap the UA logo to make your music quiet, and pick up the voice of whoever is speaking to you. I have to consciously remind myself to do that, and when I do, it's handy! But most of the time I forget and just knock one earpiece off to hear them, so I'm not fully appreciating that handy feature. It's easy enough to do, the logo sticks out the side and is a good size. The fact all the controls do stick out and are fairly chunky is a good thing in my opinion, it makes them super easy to navigate and use without needing to look/learn where things are. You can pause, skip, control volume etc on the earpiece, all handy. The case is very hard wearing so great for chucking in the car/bag on the go, in fact the headphones themselves feel really sturdy and heavy duty too (not heavy at all, just not flimsy in any way). If I were to be buying headphones I would be unlikely to pay the $300 price point for these due to lack of noise cancelling and the snug fit not working with my glasses, BUT if you value exceptional sound quality highly and/or something custom built for exercise, then these are perfect.Purchased in July 2021.
