Good Car with no dealership
Bought the Jeep grand Cherokee diesel in 2016 (my15). I have had no real issues with the car its been great value for money for a quality product, However i just cant get quality service from any jeep dealer. Tynan's at Kirrawee is an absolute Joke terrible service - caught him out charging for log book service and not replacing parts - cabin filter was dirty the minute i left and got home to check. i have since tried three other dealers all crap.
Jeeps biggest let down is there dealer network, the cars after 2015 hove really improved and have had all the bugs ironed out. i have owned it for 2 years with zero issues.

Very poor service Gosford jeep dealership
This service department has now got my Grand Jeep Cherokee for the 2nd time in 2 1/2 years, only because this was the nearest dealership for the tow truck, after my car now requires a 2nd motor!!.
Gosford Jeep have had my car for nearly "3 months"!!!
After the motor was put back in, it was discovered there was something wrong with the gearbox, then a fuse, then it had a "starting" problem?, I was promised this car would be back to me two weeks ago, & I'm still waiting!!
I definately feel like I'm being fobbed off now, & that the service manager is feeding me excuse after excuse!!.
NEVER again will I buy a Jeep, nor recommend one to anybody.

change the transfer case fluid if you get a clunk when taking off
change the transfer case fluid if you get a clunk when taking off, had the same issue as many experience..dealer couldn't fix problem during warranty period (surprise, surprise) lived with it for 6 years, I had been servicing the vehicle for past 3 years only 50k klm on clock after 6 years, however i decided to change transfer case fluid..well low an behold cluck gone!! now smooth a silk,, I suspect Jeep use crap fluid or don't fill it correctly..either way problem gone now at 64k klm and no clunk

A great 4x4 if my missus let me take it off road
So you want to look cool but your not a risk taker - buy a Prado
You think you’ve got massive nuts - buy a land cruiser
You think your younger than you are - buy a hilux
If you want the best of all worlds and you want bang for buck - it’s a grand Cherokee for you. We currently have 4 v8 jeeps, one of which is the wk2 2011 5.7 hemi.
What’s better than having heated seats and a 2 inch lift and one inch performance lowering on command - watching missus smoke an ss commodore at the lights while it gets wheel spin and blows out black smoke....Read more
Honestly I’ve had every model of Jeep and know every defect. I’ve fixed a lot of seemly big issues which are minor but often the Jeep techs struggle with. Like cleaning the battery to chassis terminal from the atm battery on the wk. all of a sudden there’s no more fault lights and feels like it supercharged what a difference. Who could have thought we could love this car more.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Transmission gone not even 5 years old
Just shocked that before my Jeep Cherokee Limited turns 5 years old and not even done a 100k the transmission has gone!! How can Jeep not look into this clearing its happened before. Every time something goes wrong its just a drama between the dealership ignoring it or Jeep ignoring the problem, then you have to go to consumer affairs to sort. Surely if Jeep has faith in their vehicles it should not be an issue?.
Transmission / Back Shock absorber's / Air Condtioning
The keys play up where the programming doesn't work.
Blown light bulbs consistently.
Clearly they produce a vehicle with know problems, charge decent money for the vehicle but don't care for keeping the reputation as being a great car.

Best car I have ever driven
Comfortable luxurious spacious. This is the best car I have ever owned it just cruises along the high way such a comfortable car to drive. And the parking sensors are brilliant, they make parking a breeze. And the fuel economy is good. The boot is very spacious. Seriously a great family car,

Love this car more every day
I looked at upgrading my dual cab work ute to use as a family/holiday car, looked and researched every car and we decided on purchasing a brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited MY15 runout.
This comes with 5 year warranty and 5 year breakdown service, fixed price servicing.
Due to fact the vehicle was over 6 months since compliance stamp I negotiated dealer down to 58k drive away.
We tow a 2.5 tonne caravan about once a month, require safe car to carry our toddler in, power and comfort.

Great all round transport
Performance and handling are top notch for a vehicle that could be classified as a barge. Extremely quite at highway speeds. Excellent interior and instruments and layout very good legroom. Been reliable to date 8.6l per 100k fuel. Only concern is the dealer servicing costs which seem quite high. The Grand Cherokee diesel is a very comfortable and well thought out vehicle. Only gripe is back cargo cover leaves a gap between the back seat that allows some viewing of contents in boot area. Owner manual is about 3 pages short of the bible in size but easy to understand. The mapping software for the GPS hasn't been updated for over 2 years and unlikely in the near future.

can't fault it, fantastic vehicle
We bought our 3ltr Diesel Grand Cherokee May 2015 and have now travelled 73,000klms of which 35,000klms have been put up towing a 3 ton caravan, without any modifications (springs, shockies, exhaust or performance chips.) We've had no problems what so ever with this vehicle. I don't believe there's another vehicle in this price range that will match it for power, economy, comfort, agility and good looks.

Great 4x4
Have owned my 2014 WK2 GC Ecodiesel now for nearly 3 years, never skipped a beat and best 4x4 I haved owned so far. Yes servicing costs at the dealership are relatively high though have been taking it for services at an independent mechanic who specialises in Jeep and Landrover and the servicing costs have halved. The performance of the Jeep is great and leaves my previous drives for dead for power and smoothness. It tows well and would not go back to the Japanese 4 pot clunkers that's for sure and did I mention that 8 speed box!

Terrible customer service from central coast jeep
Do not bother thinking about purchasing a vehicle from central coast jeep at west gosford unless you want to be treated with the lowest and rudest levels customer service levels existing from any brand or product.
This review comes from someone who actually likes their product, however the service level from jeep central coast precludes me from ever entering any jeep dealership anywhere!
Good job "lee" maintaining jeeps low level of customer service.
If this is what you get handing over 55K + imagine services or warranties.

Best towing car I've ever had
I like everything about my vehicle from the way it drives to the economy and accessories especially to upgrade brakes to brembos with no mods nessesary . Tyre selection was a problem at first but now that is sorted as I do a lot of miles towing. 167000klm and no problems brake pads are very pricey being brembos but really pull you up time after time with no fade on long downhill runs with 3200kilos

I'm in love with my Jeep
I did my research and found the Grand Cherokee suited my needs for towing. Having a 2.5 tonne boat I need a car with lots of torque. The 3.0 L diesel was perfect. I was surprised by how easy it pulled the boat, in fact it was like there was no boat behind it. I've had the car 3 years and have had no faults with it.
Hopping inside and your in luxury. Those cold winter days disappear with heated seats and a heated steering wheel.
My question to myself about how happy I am with a car is: would I buy another one?? The answer is a BIG yes.
Purchased in May 2021.

Not worth the thousands
70,000ks and a new gearbox! Have barely driven the car since purchased and have had nothing but problems with it. It has spent more time at the dealers then me. So many things have gone wrong with it but needing a new gearbox at 70k I do not believe it!

Excellent Vehicle
I purchased my Grand Cherokee Limited in Jan' 2013. It has now done 120,000 klm. More than half towing a 23ft van weighing close to 3 tonne. One trip being a full lap of Australia. The ride, comfort and fuel economy has been first class. The hard drive in the sound system is great, saves changing music CD's Dual climate control, along with heated leather seats also adds to the comfort.
Purchased in January 2021.

2014 Grand Cherokee Diesel - Very underatted vehicle
Car review journos have said that the Jeep Grand Cherokee was worth looking at BUT you take the risk of it falling apart. I think there is still a major misconception on the Jeep GC that they have all these issues, whereas I think it is Chrysler/Fiat and the Dealers that have created the problems which SLOWLY are been rectified.
We needed a vehicle to tow our Horse float with two large thoroughbreds of 600+ kgs each + the float @ 1400 kgs, I looked at all of those other vehicles and took the gamble on a one year old 2014 GC Limited Diesel so w...Read more

I absolutely love my Jeep, 2013 Limited Diesel
Did a trip to Cameron Corner and drove on mud, stones, sand, mixed clay and sand, yes clay, and with the select terrain it drives like a dream. Heard of corrugated roads? The Jeep's suspension didn't disappoint. It just kept on going. Took me 5 days, 2700+ kms in total and over 1000+Kms on sand driving to and from the Cameron Corner on 42degC heat in the dessert and the Jeep did not let me down. My coolant temperature was at around the 90sh degC. My GPS showed me the tough way to Cameron corner, fortunately the Jeep just went through all thos...Read more
e sand and wet sand. There was rain on our way to Cameron Corner. ON corners it is amazing. I love it better than our VF CalaisV on highways. Suspension is really smooth and steering is very responsive. I have the Bose sound system in CalaisV but I love the Jeep's Alpine nine speaker system more with the deep sounding bass from the subwoofer at the back. Surprisingly, it got a built-in HDD to store your music and photos. No need for thumb drives to drive around. Have to change the 20 inch wheels to 18s though and put on all terrain tyres and now it drives smoother. Read some issues with the WK2 but so far, mine was without them. Now, preparing again for a five hour drive for camping and fishing down the coast. It now has 80,xxx kms on the odometer.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

What is the confirmed maximum gross trailer weight capacity for the 2015 Grand Cherokee Limited 3.0L Diesel
1 answer
For the 2015 Jeep GC WK2 Diesel, from the Operating Information (Manual)
1. Max GTW-with Trailer Brake = 3500kg
2. Max GTW - without trailer brake = 750 kg
3, Max (on tow bar) tongue weight = 227 to 350 kg dependent as below:-
- Up to 3 occupants w. luggage = 350 kg
- Up to 5 occupants w. luggage = 227 kg
(PS - IMHO if luggage include tools and equipment I would err on the conservative side and use the lower tongue weight even with fewer occupants)
Trust the info. is of assistance and of course you can ring up Jeep Australia for this information too.

ross dry loose rocky creek beds, then use it as a comfy SUV when at home. Not one issue. I feel for those who seem to have blown 3 engines or dont know how to reverse or use the vehicles features. Would still buy another tomorrow if it got written off. Note:Whilst did buy a runout year model at a great price, the depreciation on this brand is higher than usual.
