As useless as a speed camera saving lives
Bought a K3 and the motor would not work properly and had no pressure, took it back to the shop and got a replacement unit. New unit worked but the lances had leaks and eventually after a few weeks of use the dirt blaster lance decided to stop working due to the ball bearing inside the nozzle tip eating it's way around the plastic housing causing it to stop rotating.
Looked at buying a new dirt blaster nozzle, $60 for a piece of plastic junk that will fail again, No way.
Decided to throw it off a building from the 3rd level, I got my satisfaction out of it that way, as well as a good video and a lesson learnt.

Water leaks
Twice I have experienced water leaks from the hose connector. The first time, I was advised by the approved repairer that it was caused by the way I used the machine ! Yet even being aware of the potential of a leak at the hose connector and never pulling on the hose the machine has developed the same leak.
I experienced a malfunction of the trigger handle and the same repairer, here on the Gold Coast, advised me it was again caused by the way I used the machine ! What a small "O" ring in the handle failure was caused by my incorrect use of th...Read more

Leaking problems on first day use
Got a K3 part number 1.601 - 812.0. Assembled the unit; connect all hoses and turned on water. Immediately started leaking from the k3 quick coupling connector to hose and from the trigger gun (the lance seems to work fine tough, at least I saw no leaks from there) - I rechecked connections as I wasn't believing there was an issue so serious as this product is from a good reputation brand like karcher... Well I ran out of options... My unit has assembling issues.. There's a defect on the quick coupler to hose (connects k3 to rubber hose) and al...Read more
so I noticed there are loose screws on the trigger gun. Karcher don't you have any quality assurance department?? Taking this back to store for a replacement. Will do a new review in case I get another K3.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

What happened to a once reputable brand
I had a wonderful Karcher that lasted many years, when it died I decided to replace it with another Karcher thinking Id get the same service life, unfortunately it lasted 11 months and started to leak oil, I took it to the service repair shop as it was under warrantee and after they checked it all out they advised Karcher would replace it with a K3 as it was not worth fixing. My replacement K3 is just over 2 years old now and has developed a severe leak and vibration so its on its way out. I always thought Karcher were a good brand but if you a...Read more
ren't getting 10 years out of it then what's the point in spending that amount of money you may as well buy a cheap Aldi model which will possibly last 2 years but be less than half the cost. In a side note the service advisor said they don't like running for 20 minutes non stop as they heat up and they don't like start stop as the plastic pump expands and contracts which may cause failure........so how am I supposed to use it?? The service advisor also said that Karcher are better at service and warrantee than Gerni and if you want one that will not heat up you need to go to at least a K4 or 5 as they are water cooled, off to Aldi I go.

Not 3 times lucky
After my old Karcher packed it in after about 10 years,I thought I'd replace it with a new one instead of being repaired.Big mistake.
I purchased a K3 from bunnings brought it home assemble it and started using it,lasted about 5 minutes before you could hear a loud water hissing sound from inside it a water pouring out of the vents,so I returned it to bunnings for a replacement same model.Got home again plugged the new one in and started using it and again may have got 5 minutes usage then the same thing as the first one something has given wa...Read more

Fault product, but still selling them.
I'm an independent contractor to constructor builders (housing), I've been through 4xK2, 1xWinner 11 and 2xK3, in 24 months. I only use them on windows and decking only. They get used, on average, once a week. I operate them in short periods of time, as recommend by Kärcher themselves.
The K2's fall apart after two to three uses. The Winner 11 is my older, personal pressure cleaner. When the fitting from the pump to the hose blew out, I went to the Geebung store, seeking a new part. When I was handed the replacement part, it was to narrow,...Read more
and would not take a hose connection fitting. Which I was then offered a K3 for $80 (I'd say cost price). The K3 lasted around 60 seconds, before the pump started leaking water. The second K3, burst and leaked water after 5 mins. I've covered all my bases with the plumbers on site, and operating procedures of the machines, again! I've spoken to the manager at the Geebung store in Brisbane, he still can't give me a good reason about they're product, other then I must have had a bad run of luck, or hit a bad batch. How about you admit, your product is infearier. You knowingly sell them to consumers, knowing they a faulty. This is not doing the right thing by consumers or your brand. I feel I will take this further to consumer affairs. As I've been offered another machine, which is second hand. As posed to a new replacement. I have all the receipts for the previous items, store locations and wittiness to the issues on site. It's just a joke.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Poor quality
I bought a Karcher K3.190 pressure washer from Bunnings 2.5 years ago. I have used it about 7 times to wash cars and deck. It started gushing water and lost pressure. I returned it to Bunnings and they sent it off for repairs. It is outside the 2 year warranty and they quoted $150 to repair. The unit cost me $289 so I decided against it. The repairer told me the fault is a cracked water pump. He said they are made of plastic at a price point and that this was a common fault. I bought a Karcher because I thought I was getting a quality brand but...Read more
never again as they are not good quality. I also have a Workforce pressure washer that I purchased from Aldi for $99 several years ago before the Karcher. It is the same size, older and does most of my work and is still going strong !Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

LASTED ABOUT FOUR HOURS OF USE ... TOTAL RUBBISH!
Purchased this K3 pressure washer brand new after my old metal Karcher had lasted for nearly twenty years. So decided to stick with the brand. Worked well for a while - maybe four hours of use at the most. Was quite impressed. Then yesterday it started spewing water out of the base of the housing and the pressure at the nozzle dropped by about 60%. Took it back to Bunnings this morning and was told that, as I had no receipt, there was nothing they could do. So, stuck with a $299.00 door stop. If you are seriously going to buy one of these Ch...Read more
inese-made pieces of junk then I suggest you lock the receipt up somewhere safe. Or buy something else. Just noticed one of the previous reviewers (below) had the same problem, so I think it is a design flaw.1 comment

Amazing product...
Reviewing Karcher domestic steam cleaner.. very satisfied, had simple problems sort it out very quickly. The best customer service in the world. Highly recommend this product as well as Karcher high pressure cleaner, using almost every day, being their customer for more than 50 years, had at least 4 products, very few problems, in entire life, if any, very competitive market nowadays, cheaper options out there. Would not go for any but Karcher.

A lemon
My Karcher K3 failed and the store now informs me that it is only designed to be used for 30 minutes per day. This is unacceptable. There was nothing in the instruction booklet about any time limitation on the machine. I believe the machine has design faults. It is a reasonable expectation that a water blaster should be able to be used for at least a few hours per day.

Customer service, what customer service
Our Gerni broke so off to Bunnings we went to get a new one. Given our history with Gerni we decided to try Karcher. We opted for the Karcher k3-800 ecologic. Big mistake. After about half a dozen short uses he pressure washer let go and more water came out the bottom than the top. The Bunnings receipt had faded to nothing, and since we paid cash there was no bank record. Bunnings pointed me at Karcher. I sent them an email, nothing. I rang and was told the sales manager (Mike) would ring me back. Still nothing after a month. The product has a ...Read more
5 year warranty and has not even been on the market for 5 years so it is still under warranty! Never again. And judging by the reviews it would seem an opinion shared by many. And to think the Bunnings lady tried to talk us in to staying with Gerni as they had far less returns and we opted for the Karcher. Is it that difficult to spec a brass pressure washer instead of plastic and just make a better product!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Use it for patio / driveway
Purchased from Supercheap while there was a storewide sale for $240~. It comes with some wood deck detergent, a line spraying wand (with power adjustment), dirt blaster wand (main one I use) and a water broom. It doesn't come with a 'patio cleaner' extension - but not a big deal as I've found them to be useless in the past.
I have been using it to clean dirty and moldy concrete (and works fine).
I've had a Bosch 37-13+ previously but it burnt out after 1 day of use. I've also used a JetPower JET360ZX. Both of these are similar to th...Read more
e Karcher K3 Deck for pressure/cleaning ability (all used on the same areas). I decided on the Karcher (over something off eBay or another unknown brand) hoping it'll last a long time as that's what they seem to be known for. So time will tell.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Does the Job
I bought this K3 at SuperCheap at Christmas... they price matched the advertised $239 priced I'd seen at Bunnings but my local store didn't have any... so great job by them! It does everything we need... cleans the deck, driveway, house exterior, outdoor furniture and the garage floor. Light enough to move around easily and easy on water.

Leaks water
I brought a new karcher K3 pressure washer, I used it to wet one side of me car and as soon as I let go of the trigger I heard a pop sound and water was gushing out from inside of the plastic outer cover, not sure what let go but it's under warranty so I took it back to place of purchase and was given another K3 karcher, took it home and wet one side of my wife's car and as soon as I let go of the trigger I heard a pop sound and you guessed it water was gushing out from the internals again that 2 pressure washers do exactly the same thing in 2 days so tomorrow I'll be asking for my money back you don't get a third chance with me.

The dirt buster
Bought the Karcher K3 Deck pressure cleaner from Bunnings Hardware Gympie. Their price was $299 and no one wanted to match it.
My brother left his K2 with me when he went OS. I thrashed that little puppy. De greased my very dirty Deutz Agrolux 4.75 tractor in no time. Cleaned the red dirt off our patio area, and this is no mean feat. That red dirt sticks harder than a politicians promise. It just ripped it off first pass.
I bought the K3 because of the 8 metre long pressure hose, 2 adjustable spray nozzle and the 2 year warranty. The trigger mechanism is so light and easy to use. The wife loves it.

Good job so far
I recently purchased a Karcher K3 Deck pressure cleaner from Home Hardware in Launceston. Their price was $239 down from $299 quoted to match Bunnings price for a similar model.
I bought this to clean some rather old stained concrete, paving stones and a deck and it has done a reasonably good job of it.
I have had a basic model cheap Gernie for many years which has been great but has just worn out from a lot of use so needed to replace.
Three reasons I opted for the Karcher this time were a long pressure hose, adjustable spray nozzle and...Read more

What a load of rubbish, just out of warranty and Bunnings don't want to know about it. Karcher obviously now produces a rubbish product - DONT BUY IT too many people have had the same problem

Took it to pieces and it is the pump head assembly that is spewing water. Too expensive to fix. WILL NEVER BUY KARCHER AGAIN.
