Worked well for about 10 hours use
Purchased a new Karcher K3 a couple of years ago and should have known better as the first K3 I purchased had to be fixed under warranty a couple of times - they said it was due to not enough use and seals drying out. The new one was used for a bout 10 hours all up and then just stopped supplying pressure. I did some research and found that Karcher now gets mainly bad reviews. Many years ago they made a good product - what happened that they decided to produce rubbish.
Bought a Michelin this time and so far works well.
Purchased for A$300.00.

Rubbish
Terrible build quality. I have only used it a few times, wash deck/paving/car etc, washed my house down today. Keeps splitting pump housing bits. Cheap plastic, bad design, it only seems to last until barely out of warranty, which is also short. Total waste of money.
Purchased in February 2021.

buyer beware poor quality manufacturing
The K3 split the pump casing as Karcher's do apparently (I wish I had read the reviews before purchase). It lasted a total of less than 20 hours of use over the few years I owned it which was unfortunately for me greater than their warranty period).

K3 German design, melted plastic pump.
I bought SO many attachments and didn’t even get to use them as the Plastic pump housing with the 3 metal springs and rods MELTED the PLASTIC and TINY rubber seal in one of the 3 chambers. Will never buy Karcher again. So much for German quality. It’s a disgrace to my German heritage. I got so little use out of it.

Reasonable quality
I haven't had the issues other people seem to have had here. Unit seems reasonable quality to me but I don't use it that heavily.i just use it to clean the tiles on my patio every now and again
Only niggle is the plastic tube used to feed the detergent came off after the first use and I was unable to reattach.
Other than that this seems reasonable quality to me

Rubbish Product - Beware
Like most others have said - had it two years, pump housing split causing water to leak everywhere and loss of pressure - made from rubbish, cheap and nasty. Many people who have had Karchers previously swore by them - that must have been when Companies made things to last....

Katcher pressure washer is junk. Company wont even answer if product faulty
I have 2 kartcher pressure washers and both failed after little use with the same fault. A crack in the plastic housing of the pump. I have written a request to Karcher asking if it is a common fault and they don't reply.
Do yourself a favour dont buy Kartcher

Makes light work of stubborn dirt
Absolutely love this product. Effectively removes stubborn dirt from our concreted areas that was difficult to remove by hose and broom. Extremely easy to assemble and operate. Highly recommended product and great value for money.

Piece of junk. Don't buy one!
The machine is just under 4 years old but with only occasional use. The pump housing has split in half at the joint so it's now going in the bin. Don't waste your money on this over priced rubbish.

Working great so far!
Doesn't look like many people with positive review's come here. So I thought I'd post mine.
I upgraded from older Karcher model which was at least 15 years old. (It still works but was getting very loud, I think the motor almost had it). The previous one to that died after 5 years when I mixed bleach into the mixture (will never do that again!)
The new K3 sounds quieter and overall great improvement in power. It's still plastic and toyish look, but it ran for 10 hours straight today as I cleaned the entire concrete tennis court from stained d...Read more
irt/mold. I got the Full Control edition which included the "T-Racer" rotating propeller which is great for large flat concrete driveways/courts. It also included the "Power Scrubber" for really stubborn stains on outdoor tiles. Both came in handy and I'm glad I got it. The only complaint with both of these tools is they attach to an arm which isn't long enough for an average height person. It puts a lot of stress on the back. Need to see if I can even get an extension. I'm sure the people who've had issues with it are the minority. I will continue to use this product on a weekly basis and will update if something changes.Purchased in September 2021 at Bunnings Warehouse for A$369.00.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
Bought this from bunnings to wash my car, used it once and it worked so sweet as. Waited a week and went to wash my car again and its not building any pressure at all, like running on then off but pump is working at full max (water is dribbling out). Was turning the on switch and it just popped out, such cheap plastic junk, you should see the inisde, looks like its made out of chuppa chup sticks.
Now doesnt work at all (wont turn on or pump at all), so its going back to bunnings,, i wish i had read the reviews on here first.
thanks karcher for making absolute rubbish

Useless piece of crap
Purchased K3 from Bunnings - lasted about 5 minutes before you could hear the water hissing out from behind the cover. Did read some of the warranty and decided not to try and fix it, so returned it too Bunnings for a replacement. All good about it, that's where the "all good" bit ends. The replacement started hissing out water as soon as I connected the water to it. Total waste of time and money. Would not have another one. (This was a replacement for a Worx cheapie that had lasted 10 years. The only reason I gave it away was I wanted a longer pressure hose. Wish now I hadn't given the old one away). Got the replacement on Friday, but have not returned it yet, now Sunday.

Cheap and unreliable quality at a premium price
In the 3 years I've had it the unit has has failed 3 times and has been repaired by a local repair agent. It's now failed completely and is dead. Probably done about 10 hrs work in it's life.
Bunning were not at all interested once it had left the shop. Karcher are similarly disinterested unless you are a lottery winner. They stand behind their shareholders and not their product.
Not a wise decision - look elasewhere

Waste of money
I had my K-3 for about 2 and bit Years and the cover on top of the pump went.Tried to to get the part off Karcher and they were going to charge me more than what the machine was worth.
I tried to get it repaired and all the Karcher service centres around Cairns laughed at me and said it's not worth fixing as it will cost.
I will not buy a karcher Pressure Washer again.

Broke down
Was good for 2 years of regular use and then the pump seals failed spraying water all inside the machine. This could be an electricity hazard when this happens. Also my dirt blaster nozzle stopped rotating. You can now get more powerful machines for significantly less cost so it is behind the times a bit in terms of pressure output. I'm not a fan of the plastic pump inside the machine and this is in my opinion why I think it failed.

Water leaks
Twice I have experienced water leaks from the hose connector. The first time, I was advised by the approved repairer that it was caused by the way I used the machine ! Yet even being aware of the potential of a leak at the hose connector and never pulling on the hose the machine has developed the same leak.
I experienced a malfunction of the trigger handle and the same repairer, here on the Gold Coast, advised me it was again caused by the way I used the machine ! What a small "O" ring in the handle failure was caused by my incorrect use of th...Read more

Leaking problems on first day use
Got a K3 part number 1.601 - 812.0. Assembled the unit; connect all hoses and turned on water. Immediately started leaking from the k3 quick coupling connector to hose and from the trigger gun (the lance seems to work fine tough, at least I saw no leaks from there) - I rechecked connections as I wasn't believing there was an issue so serious as this product is from a good reputation brand like karcher... Well I ran out of options... My unit has assembling issues.. There's a defect on the quick coupler to hose (connects k3 to rubber hose) and al...Read more
so I noticed there are loose screws on the trigger gun. Karcher don't you have any quality assurance department?? Taking this back to store for a replacement. Will do a new review in case I get another K3.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

What happened to a once reputable brand
I had a wonderful Karcher that lasted many years, when it died I decided to replace it with another Karcher thinking Id get the same service life, unfortunately it lasted 11 months and started to leak oil, I took it to the service repair shop as it was under warrantee and after they checked it all out they advised Karcher would replace it with a K3 as it was not worth fixing. My replacement K3 is just over 2 years old now and has developed a severe leak and vibration so its on its way out. I always thought Karcher were a good brand but if you a...Read more
ren't getting 10 years out of it then what's the point in spending that amount of money you may as well buy a cheap Aldi model which will possibly last 2 years but be less than half the cost. In a side note the service advisor said they don't like running for 20 minutes non stop as they heat up and they don't like start stop as the plastic pump expands and contracts which may cause failure........so how am I supposed to use it?? The service advisor also said that Karcher are better at service and warrantee than Gerni and if you want one that will not heat up you need to go to at least a K4 or 5 as they are water cooled, off to Aldi I go.Similar opinion? Not 3 times lucky
After my old Karcher packed it in after about 10 years,I thought I'd replace it with a new one instead of being repaired.Big mistake.
I purchased a K3 from bunnings brought it home assemble it and started using it,lasted about 5 minutes before you could hear a loud water hissing sound from inside it a water pouring out of the vents,so I returned it to bunnings for a replacement same model.Got home again plugged the new one in and started using it and again may have got 5 minutes usage then the same thing as the first one something has given wa...Read more

Poor quality
I bought a Karcher K3.190 pressure washer from Bunnings 2.5 years ago. I have used it about 7 times to wash cars and deck. It started gushing water and lost pressure. I returned it to Bunnings and they sent it off for repairs. It is outside the 2 year warranty and they quoted $150 to repair. The unit cost me $289 so I decided against it. The repairer told me the fault is a cracked water pump. He said they are made of plastic at a price point and that this was a common fault. I bought a Karcher because I thought I was getting a quality brand but...Read more
never again as they are not good quality. I also have a Workforce pressure washer that I purchased from Aldi for $99 several years ago before the Karcher. It is the same size, older and does most of my work and is still going strong !Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
