Not impressed! (And note it's ABM310545, not BDT-301545)

published

The oven is 230mm deep, 260mm wide, 175mm high - just under 10.5 litres. How can they claim 14 litres??
The shaft for the 'rolling cage' passes through the door in the end of the cage. When you pull this assembly out of the fryer you have to take this out before you can open the door, and of course it's stinking hot, and oven mitts make this almost impossible.
The door is very difficult to unlatch, even without oven mitts --.

Purchased in February 2021 for $140.00.

How do you get it to work?cage is a pain in rear, stupid idea!

Only tried the cage once, for chips, using raw potatoes. They all stuck together and moved upwards a little way then the whole lot slid back down in a block. No 'tumbling' action at all. But I guess it might work OK on a lot of smaller, non sticky things - but I'm not sure what! Might be OK for popping corn??

Otherwise the main issue with the cage is the fact that after you have pulled the cage out of the fryer you then have to remove the shaft and open the door and tip out the tucker with it all stinking hot. Can't do it wearing oven mitts as it's far too fiddly.

Overall, I find this oven quite good, but there are far bigger ovens available, which seem to actually be the capacity they say they are (which is a bonus!), and appear far better 'appointed', for not much more than this cost. So I can hardly wait for this one to stop working!!

(And talking of size: they say, size isn't everything, and in that spirit I guess you might use the rotisserie for a quail or a starling, or even an escargot, but a chook?? Would have to be newly hatched.)

I just select the first menu, or any menu, and adjust time and temperature to my liking after that. It lets you change the temp and time after you select a menu. I couldn't figure the same thing out so worked my own way around it.

I give that a go thank you

Yes, just click + or - as you want. The 'pre-selections' just select a time and temperature, choose one closest to what you want, and adjust from there.

Question for the Kitchen Couture representatives: How is it that you reckon the air fryer ABM301545 has a capacity of 14 litres?? (And I won't accept 'Tardis technology' as an answer. I measured the inside!)

I sent that to to the Kitch Cootch Reps, using the link below, 2 months ago: still waiting for a reply!!! I guess there IS no answer.
