Try INSTANT POT recipes or Philips Viva instant pot. Use the ingredients of those recipes and choose the pre sets on the unit .

Can you put insert on to stove top to brown meat?

Hi Michelle, I would say putting it on a stove top would not be a good idea. I think it would destroy the coating on the insert. It does say it browns meat but that's in the actual unit which wouldn't get red hot like a stove top.
No recipes or guidance is the main problem with making any recommendation.- wouldn't have brought one if I had known how poor the manual is.

FROM other cookers, use a little oil in the insert and fry to brown meat. Don't put the lid on until browning is finished. The rest of the process is guesswork.

Is there somewhere I can get recipes ( or decent instructions) specifically for the 16-in-1 Multifunction Pressure cooking. The user manual is almost useless. I am having trouble with even basic functions.

Hi Margie, I havnt managed to find recipes either- this thing is useless without and Kogan are VERY quite and have NOT responded to my queries. VERY disappointed. I would like to return the cooker as its a total waste of money if I cant do more than boil water!! Kogan should treat customers better than this.
Sorry I cant help

I used the appliance tonight for the first time. I had to use a recipe from a generic pressure cooker website and just try to guess how to use on the Kogan machine. I can't believe there are absolutely no instructions for how to use each function) not even an explanation of how each function operates eg time cooking, water needed etc.
Please can you supply an instruction and recipe book for this model of pressure cooker?

Totally agree Sandra. Appliance is useless without at least a few recipes that users can adapt to learn how to use it. I feel like sending mine back!

I used the pressure cooker again tonight to cook corned beef. Again I used a generic recipe and guessed the function to use. So far I have been lucky and it has worked out OK. Would still like to know how to use the rice function, fry function etc. guess it is just trial and error..
