Great cheap LED TV by Kogan
I live in Regional Victoria and got a 55" TV LED 3D delivered by Kogan in two days for free. Payed $900 in total and optioned for the 5 yr warranty. It has been very good although you could get a better picture if you payed double the price the picture is still good. If you watch stuff off your HD you only get the quality of what you have downloaded the TV isn't going to make the picture any better. I watch a lot of sports on it and there is no drag. If you don't want to spend much and want a big TV this is for you. I have had it for 5 months and gets a work out. Remote control is a little bit slow and needs to be pointed directly at TV. Also when you change channels the info of that channel doesn't automatically come up.

50" 3D LED TV (100Hz Full HD) - Was 100% happy until things went really wrong.
I have this TV. It started making knocking noises and turning its self off at 6 months use. It then took a month to come back from Kogan for repairs and when it did come back it was returned without the full stand, remote and 3D glasses (all were asked to be returned at time of repair). So it has been over a month since I have been able to use the TV and I am still waiting on the parts to deem my TV usable.
The customer experience in the purchase of this TV has been the worst I have ever has to endure. Even to the point of when notified the ...Read more
TV was on its way back I asked the question on the phone as to what was actually wrong with the TV with no response given. When asking what would occur if we were not happy with the repair the phone operator hung up. I have two Kogan TV's in my house, a small screen which the remote no longer works on (or any universal remote) which occurred just out of warranty and the one from this review, was a great TV when I received it and I was very happy with the quality considering the price. But the issues with Kogan has convinced me to part with a few hundred more and steer clear of unproven brands from now on. Kogan will never get my business ever again. Price, quality for the price, Repair needed after 6 months use, bad customer service, Keep the packaging as things will go wrong.

Happy with my first 3DTV
This is my first 3DTV and Ive now had for over a year and its going well. No problems so far, was happy with the delivery, to the unboxing. The TV for its price is great for my Xbox gaming and 3D movies. Of coarse theres better and more expensive ones out there, but I had a budget and Im happy- thats the main thing.
Price, four 3D specs, good for price
Sound very tinny- suggest getting a soundbar or hooking it up to a 5.1/7.1 surround sound.

Decent for the price.
Pre-ordered the 50" 3D LED TV back in mid to late 2012 so I have been using it for around 1 year now.
My rating is taking into account the price.
The TV arrived when they said it would and in perfect condition. The build quality seems to be fine and the base was heavy enough to keep the TV stable. We later mounted it to the wall to keep it away from out toddlers. Everyone should do this. The reduced stress alone makes it worth while.
The picture quality is not great but acceptable, especially since I paid around $700. The colours and c...Read more
ontrast are OK with the Kogan but it is a little soft. There is also significant ‘torch light’ effect in the corners, which is noticeable which there is a dark image on the screen. When ever I go to a electronics store and see the brand name TV's I realise how much of a better quality picture you get if you pay 2,3 or 4 times the price of the Kogan, especially how sharp they are. I use mine with a HTPC using Media Center and the Media Browser plug-in and it receives the HDMI signal fine and appears to pixel map after cycling through the aspect ratios using the TV's remote.Similar opinion? you get what you pay for
I had delivery issues. It didn't turn up on delivery day so I had to take a day of work. Firstly I was happy with the picture quality and sound but after a month the back light died and i had no picture. I was then without a tv for about a month while they repaired it. After it was returned I noticed straight away the 3d no-longer worked so I had to endure multiple emails and phone calls of trouble shooting before they arranged to have it repaired again. Every time this happens i need to take time off work for pick up and redelivery. All up I'm...Read more
up to a week off work. The packaging is also huge and because you need it when you return it after it breaks you will need storage room for it. I asked kogan what they can offer me to make up for all the issues Ive had and they offered nothing. Kogan is a bargain but only if your time is worth nothing. the sound and picture is good quality (when it works) delivery, after sales service, quality are all really bad1 comment

What I Was Hoping For!
I got this 46inch in exchange for the Kogan 46" Smart TV (which was terrible - see my other review). Given the poor quality of the previous Kogan TV I was a bit fearful. But I shouldn't have been. Bright colours, good colour balance, sharp. Everything you'd hope for. The simulated 3-D appears to work well - I've watched sport using the 3-D glasses and you can get the effect without it being over-the-top. Easy to set up. I'm teaming it with an AV receiver, and have realised that it doesn't have HDMI audio return channel. A bit surprising for a contemporary TV, but not a show stopper. Even without the 3-D, just as a 2-D TV, it's probably good value for money.
Bright colours, good colour balance.
Doesn't have HDMI audio return channel.

Don't Buy Now!
Had my Kogan 3d 55" LCD TV delivered today with ONE pair of 3D glasses bought it for $899 on super special (hurry up hurry up going up to $999 in 2 hours) instead of that it went down to $799 with FOUR pair of glasses ...cheesed off you bet, you really feel like an idiot being taken in like that!

Really Satisfied
I am very happy with the Kogan 50 inch 3D Led TV, it was so inexpensive, it arrived quickly, didn't take long to set up, and I have been using it constantly without any problems. The 3D quality is very good and the ease of switching from 2D to 3D and back again is so simple.
Clear picture, Inexpensive, Easy to operate.

55 Inch KOGAN 3D LED TV
Quality is what I expected / I am not let down in any way / It renders 3D very well and is an enjoyable TV to watch in a large sized lounge room / I have found that 10 meters is the perfect distance / 4 meters is the minimum distance or you will end up with a head ache in no time at all. Remote is average quality but over all worth every cent of the $799 / For me it will end up in the back room to replace the Panasonic Plasma TV the kids use and I will probably go 120 HERTZ Quality branded TV to replace the KOGAN.
Renders 3D / Was packed and protected very well !
The bracket and base is weak looking but obviously strong enough.

Fantastic value, Fantastic quality
Purchased 46" 3d LED Full HD off of ebay, won the auction at $416 and cost $119 for courier, not bad for $535. it took 3 days from payment to delivery, very very happy with it, can not recommend more.
people have cpomplained about the sound, i can not disagree more, i also have an LG 42" Full HD tv and the sound on that is terrible compared to the Kogan, anyhow im running it through a Samsung 3D home theatre system kicking out 1100w so really really happy
Value for money, great quality, does exactly what it says on the tin :-)

I have a Kogan kaled423dxza. When I turn it off it is really hard to turn on. ( by t.v power button or remote its the same result) The only way to turn it back on is to turn it on and off on the wall switch and the press the remote button. This can take a lot of times or sometimes just 5 times before it turns on. What could be the problem?... Ps this is the only problem everything else works great once its on

I haven't had this problem. However over time nearly three years now I have noticed the remote less responsive and have changed batteries, I have to really point it at the TV for it to work. Have you changed batteries??
Hi there,
Tbh I never had this problem and we had the TV for a couple of years before I gifted it to my in-laws after we upgraded to a bigger TV.
The only problem I've heard my in laws talk about was that the stock remote just stopped working altogether so we got them a universal remote instead to save them using the manual buttons. They've had it now for just over a year.
Sorry I couldn't be of any further help, if it's within warranty would suggest to hit up Kogan about it.
All the best.

I have a 55" KOGAN model 503DSA. How do i set it on 3D? When i press 3D/2D button nothing happens.

Sorry Gail I don't use this function. However what your watching must be filmed in 3D for it to work. Not everything is 3D just with a touch of the button.
you must have a 3d player to see the effects of it, otherwise itll just be blurry if anything. The 3d specs you get at the movies is fine to use as the 3D is passive and not active. The foxtel 3D is a waste of time as it requires active.

Hi Gail,
Thanks for your question!
As per the comments above, you'll need to be viewing 3D content via a compatible device such as a blu-ray player in order to utilize the 3D function of the TV.
If you require any further assistance with this at all, you can get in contact with our Support team directly on 1300 304 292 or at the following link:
