Needed replacement Brake discs after only 24,000klm
My wifes Evoque has done only 24,000klm in 3.5 years, so just out of warranty. Needed to go into Berwick Landrover for a replacement filter as the exhaust filter was blocked, ($260). Told them that the brakes were noisy. When reversing out of the garage. They told me that they had been stressed, The fastest my wive drives is 60klm for about 3 mins, reason for only 24K in 3.5 years. They wanted $1,100 for replacement, they didn't see it as their problem. I have found a place that will do the replacement for $650. They must of been faulty from the beginning, they just didn't want to know!
Purchased in February 2021 at Landrover Brewick for $80,000.00.

Poor Dealer Service.
I have a 2014 Evoque Diesel which has only done around 18,000klms, recently the engine warning light came on so I took it to nearest dealer to me thinking I shouldn’t drive it to where I bought it from as it would be too far and possibly unsafe to drive? After 2 days, it required a $1200 service but also the warning light proved to be a new exhaust gasket (EGR) costing a whopping $2600! Took car home and drove on, next day it would hop down the road, losing power whenever pressure applied to accelerator. Took it back to repairer, 2 days further ...Read more
and they still don’t know what’s wrong with it?! Why is it so hard to repair these things? What is wrong with this company that they cannot repair their own vehicles to actually drive? The car drove perfectly well before,if it wasn’t for the warning light I’d never have known anything needed doing. Apparently I don’t do enough Kilometres as I live in city where the limit is mostly 40kph...shoot me! Never had any issues with the previous car I owned which was a BMW X3 Diesel.Similar opinion? Land Rover Evoque 2014 Turbo Issues
My Land Rover Evoque has also had an issue with its turbo. Only has only done 44,000km, I've been quoted $7,500 to fix. New car warranty expired in February, lucky I took out the extended warranty when I purchased it. Well maybe now I've got to go through the process of claiming against it. Not really what you would expect from a "quality manufacturer".

Range Rover Evoque
Driving experience is fantastic. Interior is fantastic, especially the meridian sound system. Reliability - we may have bought a dud. Just outside 3year warranty and the starter motor went and two door locks required replacing, resulting in a pretty costly fix. Put us off getting another Rover, despite how beautiful it is to drive.

Turbo failure
I have a 2014 Evoque that has only done 17242 k's and now it's done a turbo!! What's more is it is 8 weeks post warranty. They are at the moment putting a quote together to fix it, which I have read could be up to 10K! What a piece of junk.

The Hoppiing Roo Evoque
I bought a 2014 new range rover Evoque. By mid year I found myself hopping through the major intersection of Warrigal road near the freeway at Chadstone. I have had several attempts at fixing the problem and cannot seem to find the problem . Just before Christmas the car had trouble starting and hopped though an intersection for a good kilometre. It has had a new transmission. But the problem still exist. I got caught in a boom gate with the car not starting and recently the car hopped through a major roundabout. I do not feel safe. Now service department has replaced a valve as instructed by the consumer care at range rover.

Good SUV, limited boot space, Meridian 380w system needs equalisers /presets
I recently purchased the Range Rover Evoque with turbo diesel engine and 9 speed auto transmission. With most of the bells & whistles offered, here in Melbourne. Beautiful car to drive, great feel and very comfortable. I'm 6 feet tall and have no issues with legroom and headroom. The rear seating too is fine, enough area behind my driver's seat and I can sit behind comfortably, no issues, however 3 large 6 foot adults will find themselves cramped in width, in the rear seats. The panoramic roof adds to the ambience feel, but doesn't open, bah!! ...Read more
Another cost cutting I found was the head lights. The projector Xenons for low beam act as high beam by lifting up the shutters. There is no separate reflector or projector lamps for high beams. This I find not up to scratch as against the previous cars and land rovers I have owned. There should be a total of 4 bulbs in headlights as against 2. Night driving in areas where high beam headlights are required the lighting is somewhat inadequate. Those complaining about visibility; well, while reversing you have to use the rear view camera including the front and back sensors, apart from that, no issues. I'm quite comfortable with outside visibility. The audio system is far too much hyped with raving reviews online, possibly for the top end, the one I have is not that great. I purchased the one with Meridian 380watts, 11 speakers. This system no matter what you read online, unless you go for the highest end with navigation, you don't get much.3 comments
ADDENDUM (05 Dec 2015) Recently had a "Q500" software upgrade for the transmission, this has made the SUV gears soother and faster and no lag (I had previously noticed) changing from Reverse to Forwar... Read more
d Drive mode. The lag has now disappeared and the car pickup seems improved too. The infotainment system still has no software, presets or playlist mode upgrades. Supports only MP3, WMA and AAC digital audio playback which is lossy compression (read as lose audio quality in stored music). No SUPPORT for FLAC, ALAC, WAV(L), WMA(L), DST, MPEG-4 ALS etc files (read as loss-less digital audio, highest quality music) playback. Its a SHAME in today's date to NOT have these options in digital stored music playback.ADDENDUM (16 Mar 2018) A month or so back I went in for 3rd servicing. rranty. The great thing I noticed after 3rd servicing was the engine has become more responsive or "peppier". I was unsure initially so I waited to test it out for a month or so. Now I am 100% sure it was just not my feeling.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Fantastic off road for a Crossover
Fantastic off roader for what it is. Terrain response system kills many terrains easily, minor rock climbs, over sand or other slippery bits, only limitation off road is clearance, the lack of crawl mode and a rear locking diff. Great in town too, easy to drive, but boot space isn't as big as even a Golf 5 it replaced. ZF 9HP gear box is a little slow, but very good on fuel - they should have shortened 1st gear more so it is more of an off-road drive. On the open road, gearbox needs some tuning, when setting cruise control, if the road starts t...Read more
o increase in gradient, it labours and roughs a bit hesitant in switching down a gear, however nothing the manual gear change down override won't fix. Really could do well with a full size spare if you hit the trails, overall, very happy experience with many adventures still to come. Off road ability, sand, rocks, dirt and car like handling on road. Hard to find AT tyres to fit stock rims, more clearance helps. No full size spare. ZF9HP needs tuning.Similar opinion? Not good enough
Apart from the sleek exterior and interior being modern our brand new 2014 Evoque has been disppointing. The 2 front doors do not close properly. When driving air whistles through the rubber seals... Only had car for 4months so it shouldn't make that noise. For a top end car feelling frustrated that we might have bought a dud. Waiting to get problem rectified but not good enough.

Love the Evoque
Initially I didn't like the look of the car thought the visibility would be poor and the vehicle too small. But after some research, I purchased the Evoque. I really am enjoying the car. Land Rover just seem to know how to make you feel special in a car.. This is my second Land Rover. I did try another brand of car but it just did not go that extra mile .. ha ha The Evoque is special it has power, it has exceptional comfort and style. It has off road ability. I live in a remote area and it is able to do everything i need however if there was a...Read more
bar or protection bull bar that did not look ugly that would be make it for me. Living in an area where there is lots and lots of wallabies. I have to drive super slow which is good for the wallabies sad for me wanting to extend the car a little, but stay safe. It is a special car and feel grateful to be able to drive an Evoque No Protection for the front of the car.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent Evoque 2014
The Evoque 2014 is exceptional. It has an amazing exterior brawny style with a sleek design. The new 9 gear transmission and turbo engine gives it a nice smooth transition between gears and power it needs to kick up and go both highway and surface streets. It's new drivetrain and 9 gear transmission provides better fuel efficiency. Interior design is remarkable with high quality materials including easy navigation and the Meridian sound system. Very comfortable ride.
Exterior style, class, and brawn. Interior comfort and luxurious design. Panoramic sunroof
Panoramic sunroof does not open. Cargo is a bit small

its drivability. I can safely say it's good for light to medium off road. It is not a rock climber like Jeep Rubicon trail rated 4x4 but far better than Audi Q3, Q5, BMW X3, X5 in off road. This SUV can actually go more off the road than most other SUVs in the market today. Most are simple all wheel drives or cross overs, not so with Land Rover vehicles which are very well rounded off & on road vehicles. Where it lacks is infotainment software refinement, high beam headlights which I still feel Audi & BMW is far better.
