Perhaps the best deodorant I’ve ever used
I tried the sample pack then bought the full tub. Like that it has a small plastic ‘applicator’ to remove it from the tub. One very small amount lasts for days, and doesn’t mark clothes. I have sensitive skin and haven’t experienced any irritation. I expect the tub to last for a very long time - yes it’s small but you only need a small amount and that amount lasts days. I give myself a sniff before bed to know if I need to apply it again after my morning shower! The true test will come in summer but I’m confident it won’t fail me.

Wanted to love it, but not for me
I trialled some sachets and enjoyed that it didn’t leave a milky residue after sweating during workouts like other deodorants have, but it had very little staying power. The owners reached out and suggested I try the foot deodorant as it’s stronger and can help my armpit environment to acclimate to their deodorant a little quicker/easier. The reapplication to avoid smelling has meant I’ve used it up far quicker than designed and I can’t imagine buying another pot at current cost when I’ve run through it so quickly and it wasn’t very effective. Honestly, I use this once a week after my shower at night. No other deodorant. I train Brazilian jiujitsu at least 4 times a week and again don’t need to use any other products. It is genuinely like magic. I use the foot formula for both feet and underarms. Just try it but you must do with wet underarms after a shower.

After developing a medical condition that requires daily steroid medication, I started suffering from quite bad body odour and normal store bought deodorants no longer worked. Lavilin definitely works better than any other brand I have tried. I have also tried their Dandruff Shampoo, and that really helps control my oil / dandruff levels as well. I am a big believer in the science behind this product killing skin bacteria, as I have suffered from skin conditions my whole life (severe acne, dandruff), and I even use the shampoo on acne outbreaks with impressive success (assume it also kills acne bacteria as well as odour bacteria). Really impressive range and a fair price as well.

I love this product. It lasts for about 5 or 6 days for me. I only have one very small negative and that I would like it to be less thick. However, this is not a big problem and will not prevent me using this great product!

My siblings put me onto Lavilin. I was sceptical to be honest but having used this for a month now I'm a convert. It truly is effective against BO and an amazing product. I've not seen whether it will affect my shirts (yellow stains from deodorants my pet hate) so I'll update later

I recommend the roll on as well as the cream. I bought both at the same time to save postage, really worked 1st time, now repeat buyer. Takes a few mins longer to apply after a shower than previous products,but keeps the pong away for days, which the others didn't, also bought the roll on for rushed days

Easy to apply, I followed all instructions and gave it a fair shot of a week and a half of solely this product but I simply couldn’t go on any longer. I don’t typically have strong BO so thought it’d easily handle it but I was wrong. Maybe the QLD sun is too much.

First day I used about double the recommended amount the night before bed as I do sweat a fair bit but had to change work shirts half way into the day because it started getting smelly, just as if I hadn’t used any deodorant at all.

I initially ordered the trial packets to test if the claims to go 7 days without smelling were true. I watched the video on how to use it, and can honestly say the product worked for me. I have now bought the tub. It's great not to have white marks on my clothes and my skin hasn't reacted to this product, which is also great. If you're nervous about whether it works, try the samples, watch the video / follow the instructions and it should also work for you

I was looking for a new deodorant that wasn't full of nasties. The one I'd been using wasn't effective plus I have developed an allergy to skin contact with fragrances. I saw Lavilin advertised online and decided to give it a try. I'm totally sold on it. I've been using it for a year now and it is fabulous. Using it just once a week, I have no body odour and I have NO allergic reaction at all. Not only that, the container it comes in is small and light so it's fantastic to pack when I'm travelling. I'm delighted.

The new Australian Total Odour Protection cream formula doesn't have exactly the same ingredients as the old American cream range with some of the preservatives changed to safer natural ones as per the latest research.
Lavilin people - do you know if people generally get better results if they are switching from conventional antiperspirants, conventional deodorants, or from natural/homemade deods? Or is success more dependent on individual body chemistry? I've been getting by with homemade concoctions for about 10 years now, which work waaaaayyy better than any store-bought product I've tried, but I do get irritation so keen to try something different. Also, can you say what fragrance is used? And which product has the least fragrance?

Read moreto start working after some of the harsher deodorants due to the long term effects they have on the skin and more perseverance is needed. Clinical grade antiperspirants tend to wipe out all the stink and non stink-producing bacteria on the skin’s microbiome so can take a while for a diverse range of microflora to re-inhabit the microbiome. Many natural style of deodorants tend to either be very high pH or high in alcohol (esp with bicarb or magnesium hydroxide or DE) and when left to sit on the skin, work away at corroding the skin’s protective acid mantle. Prolonged disruption of the acid layer can compromise the skin’s ability to heal back to normal acidic pH. Bicarb is the No.1 irritant in deodorants, basically because of this reason. When bicarb is applied to the skin once it can take up to 2 weeks for the protective acid layer to heal back. Some people heal back faster, so transitioning over to Lavilin is no problem. Because Lavilin is much gentler on the skin it can potentially take longer for it to keep the more prolific odour-causing bacteria at bay after coming from these types of products. The best way to transition over from these harsher deodorants is to give the skin a total rest from all deodorant products for a few days, or even a week, to allow it to start to heal and for a more diverse range of bacteria to begin to inhabit the microbiome. Then when using the Lavilin deodorant, it might need to be applied more often in the beginning before being able to stretch it out over days. We offer extra support for those who are taking longer for it to start working. The fragrance is a very mild paraben/phthalate free one that disappears soon after applying. The Sport is marginally stronger than the Men’s fragrance and the Women’s is the mildest of the creams. There is a fragrance-free version coming in a few months.
Is it easy to apply for teen boys and men with underarm hair?
They should find it easy as they only need a small amount just spread around the center of the armpit after a warm shower and it spreads quite easily.

Read moreekend or if you are in lockdown using no deodorant for at least 3 days. This will give your skin a break and Lavilin time to work its magic. You should find the first day you will be whiffy. Just preserver and have a shower that night and don't reapply deodorant. Then by the second or third day, you should not be smelly. Then only reapply Lavilin when BO returns. I know it sounds counter-intuitive but we have found this works for customers who are having to apply every day.
