Our buying guide will explain which type of washing machine would suit you most, how much you can expect to pay for one, and which features are worth looking out for.
FIRE HAZZARD!!!!!!! DO NOT USE
After getting this as a replacement machine for a faulty fire hazard, the new unit caught on fire. I just had drama after drama getting a technician here who showed me the circuit board that had burnt. He then tells me Samsung will just want to replace circuit board.
Not happening Samsung the unit was running when it blew up and started smoking and glowing from behind the panel this means potential damage to all motors sensors resistors and any other electrical components.

Great top load washer for a fantastic price
After our last top loader carked it, we decided to pick up this Samsung top load washing machine. Super energy efficient, quiet and compact. Perfect for an apartment or unit and great quality. Would highly recommend.
Purchased in March 2021 at The Good Guys for $550.00.

Dirt like substance comes out on clothes
Only wash standard clothes for a family of 3 and EVERY wash a dirt like substance comes out on clothes. I bought it in Sept 2017 and AppliancesOnline are claiming its not their issue because it is out of warranty. Absolute extortion that a washing machine should only function for 2 years.
Purchased in September 2021 at Appliances Online for $630.00.

Great for all the household needs
With an 8kg tub i am able to wash my blankets at home instead of going to a laundromat. It is a quiet unit and easy to use with many different options to suit your needs. It seems to be of standard sizing and weight, and has a really nice aesthetic look with white and silver, with a glass lid so I can check the washing without lifting the lid. The wash quality is excellent and I really can't ask for a better machine.

Wish I'd never bought it!
I bought this machine in 2017. It has never washed the clothes clean. They always look grubby. I have gone from being someone whose whites where ALWAYS white, to now having whites that are grey. Stains on clothes never come out ... I actually do mean never and I have had to hand wash many items to get them clean which defeats the purpose of having a washing machine.
Worst of all, the machine stinks after every wash. It seems that lint, or dog hair (I have two dogs and this is supposed to be a dog friendly machine) collects in the bottom...Read more
of the machine and gets wet during a wash, then it smells until it dries out and then the cycle is repeated. The machine has Tub Wash function. I use this every week to try to keep the smell under control. This just wastes water and doesn't really have any impact on the smell of something that has been wet for too long. Ever had wet towels sitting in the back of your car for a few days after going to the beach? That's the smell! It's vile and it fills my laundry. I can't see the point in having a soap powder/liquid + fabric conditioner tray as whatever is put in there, just runs into the machine before the tray is closed. The instructions say to pour slowly to prevent this happening. I do that, but it has no effect. It is also the first machine I have had that doesn't appear to have a removable lid. I have always removed the lid from previous machines to clean the hinges. They can't be got at on this one. If you want to waste your money, buy a Samsung. If not, steer clear!Purchased in February 2021.

would have to pay. I am glad to pay if this is the case; however, they use one company only in WA (Camtech). I have had to deal with this company before with my Samsung air conditioner which I booked for a general service. They virtually rebuilt the air conditioner with things that they found that were allegedly faulty. The cost was greater than the original price of the air conditioner. I think I was conned. There was no obvious problem with the unit beforehand (apart from that stated in my review from when I purchased it) and there is still no obvious problem with the air conditioner. With this in mind, I explained that I would not be willing to pay for anything for a machine that is under warranty as I know that I have done everything correctly, and that I give the machine a thorough clean each week. I have no faith in their preferred service company when it comes to finding and repairing faults. I also don't believe this is a faulty machine. I believe that the fault is a design fault. We went through this a number of times, during which I was asked to confirm the same things over and over and over and in the end, nothing happened. Samsung did nothing! They offered nothing! I have now resorted to using antibacterial rinse in each load of washing, which seems to have reduced the smell a little. Think carefully before buying a Samsung washing machine. While the customer service people are polite and friendly, in the end, they will leave you hanging there.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Set your house on fire
This machine was a Samsung replacement for another model that caught fire, now 2 years on this machine has caught fire and came close to burning my home down. If you have one of these machines un-plug it immediately as it is a fire risk and needs to be recalled.

Plenty of features
I ended up swapping to this machine after being unsatisfied with a cheaper Esatto 8kg Model. Had it for a few months and I'm really happy with it. Does a great job, was a good price on sale with Appliances Online and it has all the features I want in a washing machine.
Pros:
- Has heaps of features and different cycle options
- Has a fabric softener dispenser
- Has the option to alter water lvl/temp/spin speed
- Has a better lint-trap design than Esatto
- Still a bit loud, but quieter than the Esatto I tried out
Cons: ...Read more
- Quick wash cycle is still quite long (38mins), and doesn't always wash properly (had to put a few loads through a second wash because of this, but maybe I need to start using the power wash option with this) - Lid ever so slightly blocks the detergent compartment, so you have to take extra care when adding detergent to the compartment (doesn't affect the machine function but still annoying if you use it every time) - Beeper music goes forever! I just want a quick ding to know when it's finished, not an entire song, but it does have the option to mute it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent machine, couldn’t be happier
I use this machine almost daily as I wash towels (massage therapist) and my own clothes too. It’s a great size, takes twice as much as my old machine. I like that it doesn’t have an agitator. The dials and buttons are all straight forward, the sounds annoyed me - but I can turn them off! I haven’t tried the service app yet, but that’s a great feature and I like the glass lid. Clothes and towels come out fairly dry and perfectly clean every time.

Almost a year on, still thrilled with this machine's performance, quality and aesthetic appeal!
Clothing washes exceptionally well. The lint catcher, which appears small and inefficient, is actually very impressive and easy to remove to empty. The machine's jingle is not annoying but does pleasantly alert me laundry is done and audible from most areas of the home. The cycle durations are reasonable considering it's a top loader. We've noticed no increase in water consumption/bills since changing from front loader, which was a concern. As for energy, we wash exclusively in cold water anyhow and find this machine cleans extremely well, clot...Read more
hing has never been damaged and stains remove with ease using even the most basic/affordable laundry powder without stain removing treatments. The novelty of the glass lid still finds the children "watching the washing" even after much time. Overall entirely satisfied. Long may it last!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Worst machine ever
After untangling your clothes and hanging out to dry you have to use a lint roller to get all the lint off of the clothes.
Especially sheets looks like black flakes all over them. The filter is cleaned out after each wash.Had to buy special powder to wash the machine out, didn't help much.
Will not buy this brand of machine again.

Great choice
Great little song when washing is done. Has an alert light when lint catcher needs a cleaning. Cleans all clothes, towels, mats, bedding or other really good. My youngest child helps with the washing so he gets to press the button to start. Not to big and easy to use.

Fabulous washer
We got this after careful consideration including reading other reviews here. It has very much lived up to expectations and we are well pleased with it. Clothes come out very thoroughly washed and surprisingly well spun out, considering it is a top loader. It has a few cure quirks such as the pleasant electronic tones it communicates with and I like the glass top. We have had no issues at all and are still very happy with it

Fantastic product
Feel like my clothes have had the best wash ever when I pull them out of this machine. You can adjust the spin speed so it doesn't wear out your clothes. Tells you when it needs a tub clean, our last washing machine did not and ended up coving my clothes in gunk and grease. Plays a lovely tune to tell you it is stuck (off balance) or done washing.

Samsung -faulty washing machine
Used this machine less than 10x. Its used at a weekend house, not our main house. Try to get someone to fix it or take responsibility from the Good Guys or Samsung - good luck! NEVER buying from the Good Guys and def not buying Samsung again.
Tried several times to get the Warranty fix...good luck with that too. If you want muppets to show up at your house and waste your time, then try the warranty technicians.

Awesome machine
Bought this machine back at the start of the year. Haven’t had any problems with the machine but sometimes clothes do come out dirty still, but I think that’s because of how dirty they originally were. The filter system on this machine is great for when people leave tissues in their pocket and other paper goods

Great machine
This is a very good top loader washing machine. The electronic menu is easy to use and it plays a nice song at the end. The only negative is that the drain hose comes out the left side of the machine. It is ok for us as the hose is hidden but depending on the layout of your laundry you may see the drain hose. Washes clothes very well and no agitator so it is super easy to get clothes in and out.
