ARC doesn't work-Support Doesn't know anything-Still waiting a month on service
Nano86 Series (2020)Purchased TV in May(23) from Betta waited until 2nd of July to receive it. Registered it on LG website-copy of receipt required Hooked up ARC according to the book. Nothing. TV's sound is hideous. Called support-kept telling me to plug the cable into HDMI1, I kept telling him HDMI3 is labelled ARC. Finally after 3 hours got escalated. 2 weeks later LG called and walked me through everything, again. This one did at least know HDMI3 was ARC. Still nothing but did get optical working. I don't want optical I want ARC. Said she would send someone o

Send another link finally went through. That was 2 weeks ago and nothing. I don't hold out much hope for any resolution. All I want is all my equipment to work and get the best sound. Apparently that isn't going to ever happen. NO I wouldn't recommend this TV or LG support They are the absolute worst.Awful horrible tv, I’m surprised it’s not pulled from the shelves !! Will share pics
Nano86 55NANO86TNA (55")Purchased today and the lights when watching movies is horrendous. On normal tv it’s not noticeable…I will be returning this tv as it is not pleasant to watch in fact it’s annoying . Sound when talking is too low but when music or dramatic scene it too loud . This TV is worth $400 max due to the fact that you will need to buy another TV to watch movies on.

Nano86 65NANO86TNA (65")This was a Lockdown upgrade. All my TV's have been Samsung so on this upgrade we were deciding on the Samsuing equivalent or LG Nano86. The deciding factor was that this TV has 200hz compared to the 100Hz. Once you get that information then you can tell the difference in picture quality, speed. Was happy with the LG apps and Wifi Connectivity. All the streaming service apps we needed are there Netflix, Stan, Disney, Youtube, and Kayo eventually was added.

Nano86 55NANO86TNA (55")The good
Owned since August 2020 and used primarily for watching movies as part of a home theatre setup.
This is the 3rd 55" LG TV I have owned. The previous models are the excellent 55LM7600, and an edge-lit 55UK6540PTD which is used for watching news and sport.
The 55NANO86TNA is aesthetically pleasing with a minimal bezel. Setup is straight-forward and the user interface is intuitive. Picture performance for watching terrestrial programming and 16:9 content that is well lit is generally very good.
The bad

The edge lighting has a design compromise that makes it unsuitable for watching movies in above conditions. The lighting is controlled by LED modules mounted on the horizontal edge of the panel. When attempting to illuminate a portion of a black screen, the LEDs will cause an entire vertical section of the screen which should be black to be brightened. When watching dark scenes such as travelling through space, you are going to be witnessing these vertical blurred bars moving across the screen and it is very unsatisfactory.
I had a really poor experience with the support team. They would not return calls, I had to chase up case managers who when pressed, flat out refused to accept there was anything wrong with the TV. Gi

Excellent LG Product...
Nano86 65NANO86TNA (65")Once again LG have produced a quality product however be careful going forward when considering a purchase...It has many excellent useful features but be careful when buying a model as above as the 65NanoCell 86TNA use's edge lit "LED" and it's annoying when you see the screen go all black and then one side of the screen mainly bottom edge towards the left is super bright due to the edge just being glaringly obvious...Dark areas within shows such as household / buildings and their internal areas also bad weather shots can be very, very dark around actors...Otherwise it represents good to better value than others...

Amazing
Nano86 65NANO86TNA (65")Amazing tv how ever it's not a full array LED tv, massive difference between the 91 Model and the 86 Models, just be very careful on buying which model got misleading info from the retailer
the 86 use Edge Lit LED it's annoying when you see it go all black and one side of the screen is super bright due to the edge led
i'm now looking at replacing it with an 91 Full Array LED which is near oled but not oled! better then oled but as you shouldn't get burn in!
how ever i highly recommended getting a Nanocell 86 then the basic model tv's you will enjoy it!
this tv was a replacement for an older lg tv (replacement plus upgrade)

Details
Available in two options, a 65-inch TV selling for just over $2,759 and a more modest 55-inch (at least for 4K TVs) for $2,159.
Processor
This LG Nano86 Series uses an Alpha 7 Gen 3 Processor 4K with AI Picture and AI Sound (like the LG Nano91 Series), however unlike its slightly more premium offering, it doesn’t offer 4K Upscaling. This means that your TV uses Artificial intelligence to adapt its sound and image settings, depending on its location in the room. However, this TV cannot, in and of itself, upscale the original resolution to 4K to suit the TV’s 4K capability.
Features
Some attractive features that the LG Nano91 Series is equipped with are: Dolby Vision IQ & Atmos, local array local dimming (compared however to the Nano91’s full array diming), filmmaker mode, HDR10 Pro to optimise detail (but lacks the 91 series’ HLG Pro), low input lag and VRR, ALLM and eARC and HGiG for smoother and more immersive gameplay.
LG Nano Cell technology
This uses particles to absorb light wavelengths that distort colour. The result is that red and greens display more ‘purely.’ Nano Cell also produces what the brand calls ‘True Colour,’ which refers to colours that stay accurate, including when watching the curved half-crescent screen at wide viewing angles. This helps everyone watching TV to enjoy the vivid colours, no matter where they’re sitting in the room.
Is Nano Cell the same as Samsung’s QLED?
While both are versions of LED LCD screen tech, they are brand specific. Nano Cell technology is unique to LG TVs, whereas QLED is Samsung’s patented Quantum Dot LED technology. This uses a backlit LED panel or colour sheet over an LCD screen to create rich picture quality. Some commentators say that the use of an extra sheet waters down the effectiveness of the technology, making LG's Nano Cell technology superior.
