Overpriced petroleum jelly
The amount of the "active ingredient" is almost non-existent. You're really just paying for an overpriced Vaseline or petroleum jelly.
The texture hardens overtime, especially of you buy the tub. And heating it between your palms is more of a unpleasant sticky situation. I prefer Vaseline myself as its smoother and silkier to use, plus saving the papaya industry, for such a small amount of it used... It's creating a shortage globally.

It's good for dry lips!
When I had braces I had dry lips. This Papaw Cream was awesome to help moisturise my dry lips when it needed life. I would totally recommend to those who get super dry lips. It is such a good price as well.

Meh
Honestly don't understand why people love this rubbish. It's basically Vaseline. It's disgustingly greasy, doesn't moisturise and smells terrible.
Don't bother wasting your money on this rubbish. There are better products out there

Multi-purpose!
I always buy the Papaw Cream in a tub, because I live with four other people who use it in the house. I can use it in many different ways.
1. If I have sore, chapped lips, I apply it and it soothes the mouth. It has a sweet taste to it, but I try not to swallow.
2. It heals burns, scars, scabs and other skin conditions.
It doesn't heal eczema, boils or pimples, which makes sense, I mean, one cream can't solve all your life problems! It is a non-irritant, I have sensitive skin, so this is perfect for people like myself.
It's great that I only need a smudge on my index finger and voilà! My family and I will continue to use and enjoy this product, especially since there is no expiry date!

Brilliant product
I have been using this ointment for over 30 years - onetime had a large splinter -put on ointment overnight and wore a sock and in the am the splinter was inside sock and at the moment in the throes of getting rid of blind boils on face - one of which is now almost clear cleared and the other one being treated at the moment. I have used it on my dog for eczema and it was brilliant - gave some to a few friends who had some piercing done and would not heal - within days healed - nothing short of miraculous.

I love buying this for my relatives when I travel overseas. Its a light pricier than the competition but I find its worked the best so far on chapped lips and burn marks

Outstanding product
I've had severely cracked lips for several weeks due to using a CPAP machine; nothing was helping- not coconut oil, not standard vaseline, not standard lip balms. Remembered I had this is the cupboard and started using it. Within two days they were much improved and now a week later completely normal. I apply it before bed and again once or twice during the day. Superb result. And to those who say its glorified vaseline? I don't care if it is. It works better than vaseline did and I'm happy! HIGHLY recommended

Love Love Love.
This product is a must in any home. My tradie son loves it, my grandson who is scared to use medicinal products loves it and I love it. I have psoriasis and it's been a huge benefit. When you have it on a large amount of your body as I do you can't use a medicated steroid cream as you can only use it on a small area at a time. Because this is natural I can use it when ever I want. I love the big tubs for home and tiny tube for my handbag. My friend uses it on her foster baby Roos and wombats too to keep their skin soft and protected.

Unbelievable
A natural product, not just this one. Paw paw cream is a magician. I could not believe my eyes. Such rapid healing properties. Try it, the more natural the better. There is no other ointment concocted by science to date that comes near it, it works! I'm not telling fibs people.

Such a great product to keep close at hand
I suffer from itchy feet at night and sometimes it wakes me up in the middle of the night and I had awful trouble getting the itching to stop until I bought Lucas Pawpaw cream. I put it on my feet and in a very short time it stops my feet from itching and I can then go back to sleep so I always have it by my bed at night now for reassurance. It's also good to apply if you accidentally burn your self with a fan oven when you open the door. If you don't have a tube or tub of the ointment yet then make sure you buy on today.

Pharmaceutical Grade Jelly
IF ALL the makers of our personal care products did not use Potassium Sorbate (E202) and or Pharmaceutical Grade Petroleum Jelly and Wax we’d basically be smearing on rancid Goop!
For those adverse to “Pharmaceutical Grade” ingredients perhaps try a Natural Health Store? Alternatively, buy a pawpaw, cut it and apply it directly to your skin? As that’s the only way we’re ever going to get the a-la-natural product! Yet who among us are tempted to do this with any of our cosmetics/skin care products?
Readers, without E202 the shelf life of ...Read more
our (everyday) products would be nonexistent; mould and bacteria would develop within hours; products would go rancid! And without Pharmaceutical Grade Jelly and waxes the application would be a raw sticky watery mess on our skin. However, this Jelly is still a natural by-product, refined and graded accordingly for our safe use. It is NOT the product you associate directly with the automotive industry. Take it or leave it as LUCAS’ Pawpaw Ointment does sooth my mild case of Psoriasis better than MooGoo psoriasis products… is far less expensive, conveniently sized in a 25g tube, and is readily available in supermarkets and chemists. To date; I purchase another brand – Great Life Benifex 25g from ALDI $4.99; after having first purchased Lucas’ brand of ointment $6.99Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Find out what's in it!
This folks is just petroleum jelly with 0.4% pawpaw in it! This would have to be the most appalling marketing con job in Australia. It doesn't take long to read up and find out how bad it is. Get real paw paw cream like Fix Organic.

Perfect for everything.
Gosh, I love this stuff! It works on nearly everything - cuts, stings, bites, chafing, minor burns, chapped lips, even dry skin. We have a tube of pawpaw cream in our house at all times.

Expensive Vasoline
Lucas' papaw Ointment is now nothing more than expensive Vasoline. In recent years, the company has reduced the amount of fermented fruit in their recipe. You may have noticed that the smell has changed - that is why.
If you want good quality papaw balm, you're better off going for the Suvana Organic brand.

Magic
Sorts out chapped lips, healing skin, super dry feet. Otherwise use sparingly. I sent this to my mechanic partner serving in Afghanistan winter, and he said it was magic on his ruined hands!
