Expensive Vasoline

published

Lucas' papaw Ointment is now nothing more than expensive Vasoline. In recent years, the company has reduced the amount of fermented fruit in their recipe. You may have noticed that the smell has changed - that is why.

If you want good quality papaw balm, you're better off going for the Suvana Organic brand.

Magic

published

Sorts out chapped lips, healing skin, super dry feet. Otherwise use sparingly. I sent this to my mechanic partner serving in Afghanistan winter, and he said it was magic on his ruined hands!

good for dry lips

published

I had dry lips so i put Pawpaw ointment on my lips. And i felt no pain, but the next day when i went to the beach the salt water stung my lips. So i put Blistex lip pain on my lips. after i went in salt water i would always put Pawpaw on my lips 3 days later my lips were normal and did not hurt. thanks to Lucas' Pawpaw ointment and Blistex lip pain.

Love love love it

Have used lucas papaw ointment for many years for dry lips, night face mask and foot treatment, elbows & knees, hands, arms, nail beds, legs after shaving, after shower foot treatment, cuts, abrasions, scratches, mosquito bites, in fact i use it first before going to doctor. The petroleum jelly additive is passed for safety by the appropriate channels, see website.

did the job but was a little too moisturising

published

Really helped a situation where there was alot of dry skin . the only problem was to remove from your hands when you had finished.I really love the smell great for lips.and texture though shame its petroleum jelly .Love the fact that they have different sizes and applications and anyone can use it

Petroleum Alert

published

I used Lucas' paw paw for many years and was totally devastated when I found out that the 'all natural' ointment in fact had petroleum as an ingredient. Very misleading as this is not an ingredient listed on the packaging however it is listed on their website. Very deceiving and have not used it since.

One must have in your bag and cabinet.

I always take Lucas papaw in my bag as a lip balm, it is definitely the best one you can get. And it works for itchiness, dry skin, cut, burns and so many more.

Cold sore cure amazing

published

I love this product!!
I have been using it for years now.I used to get bad cold sores very regularly, I had tried many different cold sore creams that were very expensive.
Since using Lucas pawpaw cream I haven't had any. I put it on daily and I am so happy to have accidentally found a cure for my cold sores.

I love this product! It helps the flaky skin on my face. I use it as a lip moisturiser and carry a tube in my bag for emergencies. Great product.

The best!

published

The first time I used Lucas' Papaw Ointment was around 6 years ago, and I've never looked back. I love it, and I always have at least one tube or tub in my handbag. So handy! I mainly use it as a balm for lips, but have also used it to great effect on my cuticles, elbows and on dry skin in general. It works wonders.

Not as good as it should be for the skin

published

It is mostly petroleum which works as a great barrier cream so it holds moisture in, but does not allow for external moisture to be absorbed by the skin. Petroleum is also a hydro carbon, which is like putting petrol from the pump on your skin, in terms of benefits to your skin. Put a good quality moisturiser, or oil on your skin, then apply the paw paw ointment to lock it in. Other than that, you can get far better products for skin moisture.

Aussies to the rescue

published

Im an American traveling in Nicaragua, and when I got a little bit too drunk last weekend and ended up burning my arm pretty badly trying to slide down a fireman/stripper pole at a treehouse hostel in the jungle, I was pretty bummed. However, these two Aussies at the same hostel swore by this stuff and recommended I use it, so I put it on 3x a day for the next three days and I'm good to go! It helped reduce the pain a bit and also kept the wound clean and helped get rid of the dead skin. Thank you Lucas, and thank you Australia as a whole, you are awesome.

great

This product is the only reason I don't have to cover my lips with lipstick anymore. All I carry is this miracle is a tube. Best part is it's multipurpose.

Great for acne!

published

I've used Lucas' paw paw ointment for years now and only recently discovered it's use for acne and acne scarring. Whenever I see an infection or breakout appearing on my skin, I just put a layer of paw paw over it every night and within a few days it'll be completely gone! Works with dry skin and facial rashes as well! Fantastic stuff!

about average

published

I bought Lucas paw paw cream for 5 dollars from the shop and used it only to find out it takes longer to work than expected and it's greasy though if someone has some spare time to use and is patient it's a reasonable product though usually these days I usually just use moisturisers to treat my dermatitis

Probably on this question it might be best to seek Medical opinion, But id say that something lighter like aloe vera straight from the plant would be a nice and soothing treatment

I think its the correct ointment to use,, But I would suggest allloe vera straight from the plant, split the leaves and rub the juice on your legs, but as a second choice, Lucas Paw paw will help, but possibly take several days
