If u get punctures are the tyres easily replaced at most bile stores?
Hi, I have a Kickboard Monster. Parks here offer quite a bumpy ride, unfortunately, and the Monster wide wheels offer a lot of drag. I'm considering adapting Kickboard Original 120mm wheels front and rear, and maybe using 200 mm Flex Air wheels on the front (maybe even rear, using a rear fork), to soften the bumps. Would it be feasible?

Thanks for your question.
Unfortuantely the KickBoard Monster is not compatible with the other wheels you are looking at.
On the rear this is due to the break design. On the front due to the differing axle widths.
The fat wheels on the monster are designed for stability and turning at speed with the carving lean to steer mechanism.

Hi. I got puncture in my micro flex air tube (after 4 months of use). it turns out that it is quite difficult to replace the tube, since the tire is quite tight. Are there specific tools which are needed? any tricks? I got a tire 200 mm x 55, would it fit? Thank you very much for help,

Thank you for your question.
You should be able to take your wheel to any bike shop who would be able to assist in removing the outer wheel in order to replace the inner tube, alternatively to do the repair yourself you will need a pair of tire levers in order to prise up the outer wheel rubber wheel to gain access to the inner tube.
We stock a specific replacement inner tube for the Micro Flex Air (part #1495) so without seeing the tire that you have purchased it is difficult to confirm whether or not yours would be compatible or not.

Due to the different braking systems you are only able to put the air wheels on the front of the scooter - this will assist in creating a smoother ride and will add some extra grip.

We are a scooter crazed family. We have 4 in total, Mini, Maxi, Black (200) and a trick scooter.
I am planning to acquire used Flex Air from eBay. Please, can you help me with the checklist? What should I look out for to make it a go/no-go for such a deal?

Given that the scooter would be a used/second hand model there would be no warranty on the scooter, however the great thing about Micro is that we do carry a full range of spare parts that can be purchased directly from our website - www.microscooters.com.au
It would be worth checking the wheels - given that they are air filled wheels they require more maintenance so ensuring that there are no punctures would be one thing to check. A general once over of the scooter should also give you a good indication as to its condition - ensuring that all of the bolts and axles are in place and that there are no damages to the brake.

I got the scooter, it was 30 bucks, the board and the headset were in almost new in condition. A few rusted screws in the brake but the wheels were both kaput. I guess the owner didn’t wish to change the tubes or tires. I changed the wheels and primed the scooter as per the manuals. It ran smooth after some love.
A few things that are bothering me now after 15 days of good use (3 km daily). There is a constant click sound from the scooter, it is only when I am riding (71kg) and not otherwise, could you help me locate the issue.

The update, I cured the issue myself. It was that after the wheel replacement, I had either over tightened the rear axle or the spacer washer was misaligned. Now it rums smooth and with no issues. A note for people who are thinking of getting an air flex vs black. Please ride it and feel those are two different scooters altogether. Carefree, fast and fun is Black and leisurely, no bumps and more exercise is Flex. Have fun!
What is the actual deck height of the Flex Air? I know that ground clearance is quoted at 45mm but actual deck height isn't quoted in the specs anywhere.
Also, is the ground clearance 45mm for the entire underside of the scooter? Nothing hangs lower than that? I currently have a Razor A5 Air and the 30mm or so ground clearance is giving me grief.

I believe I may have spoken with you on the phone in regards to this, but just to clarify the ground clearance of the Flex Air is 45 mm, there is nothing that on the scooter that sits lower than this. The actual deck height is 65 mm.

I just got micro flex air last nite, and found out weired thing that the handle bar on right side is about 4 to 5 cm longer than left side. is it supposed to be same ? or it is the way you guys make it. it may be cause of loosing balance if I go a bit fast. please let me know. it is wrong, and I may need to exchange it. Thanks

The flex air wheel is very well wearing but depending on how/where you use the scooter and how vigorously you brake will effect the condition and wear of the wheel.

Hi just recently send to be harder to speed up and it seems to be making a clicking sound from the rear. Could this be the brakes? Will check the clicking sound tomorrow when I have light

Thanks for your question. You do need to ensure that the air wheels are fully inflated to the correct psi in order to get the best performance out of the scooter so it is worth checking this on your wheels.
In regards to the clicking noise you are experiencing, it is difficult to determine what this may be without seeing the scooter.

The Micro Flex airs deck, though made from a wood fibre composite does have a protective varnish coating applied, however ultimately we would not recommend using the scooter in the rain as Marie pointed out that in wet conditions the scooters are prone to skidding.

Hello....I have Flex Black. Can I change the wheels (200mm hard PU type) to the pneumatic wheels (Flex air type) ?

Hi Jofi. The 200 mm air wheels are compatible with your Micro flex black, you just need to ensure that before riding they are pumped up to the correct psi as this can affect the performance and quality of the ride.
I'm looking to get a new scooter for my 10 year old daughter (I'm thinking adult sized as she's 5'2" tall and the same size as most of her teachers). However, I'm getting fed up carrying the kids scooters on a dog walk, because the small wheels stop working as soon as we hit the field of grass and they abandon them. So I want to get one that will cope well on grass. There's no plans for her to ride down a mountain etc, and most of her use will be on tarmac, but I'd really like to get her one that also works on grass for when those opportunities occur. Would the bigger, air-filled tyres achieve this?
Quick answer: No. Grass is the kryptonite of kick scooters, skates, roller blades...
These larger wheels can take a lot but unless you're going down a lovely hill grass is just too hard going.
No normal kick scooter can stand turf. The grass is just too soft/rough for scooters. If you get wheels large enough to get through grass they will still require a lot more of strength and endurance to work through it. Your children will find it difficult going and prefer to have you carry the scooter anyway. These scooters would be larger and heavier....
You would have to go with an electric motor and high grip wheels to get the required grip and power! This is overkill and even cumbersome back on the tarmac.
Either bikes or lighter scooters? Ask the kids to choose between having to scoot and carry, or just walking, or the bike? Skateboards are the solution to scoot and carry!

Try a kick scooter with 12" or 16" wheels. I haven't seen one that folds though. I modified my 16" one to a quick release rear wheel so I could fit it in the boot of the car. I'm 5'9" (175cm) and about 72kg. I tried the micro Rocket (my daughter's) and it has too much play in the folding mechanism and in the handles. I wouldn't try that downhill on the road!
Can I use air wheels in my Micro Suspension?
The brakes in your air suspension are not designed for air wheels. I don't recommend the change.
If your ride is bumpy shift your weight forward, hold the handlebars lightly. Bending your knees slightly and lifting your heels over rough patches is the best suspension! The muscles in our legs are amazingly well adapted for this.
Any way I Would like to change them.... Should I change the brake system as well?

We don't have any braking system on the Suspension for air filled wheels, but you can fit one to the front wheel no problem. That should help a bit with smoothness if that is something you're bumping up against.

i have Flex Air. Can I change the pneumatic wheels to a 200mm hard PU type?
I don't see why it wouldn't work!
I have done it with mine. No problems. Just be careful to not lose any washers- they are sitting on the inside of the fork/hub on the back wheel I think. The wheels I got (PST 200mm from micro) even came with the tool for the wheel change.

How does the brake work on the flex air?
How does it hold up over time?
Do the tyres have thick rubber? (Not going to puncture easily?)
Will the brake function the same using urethane tyres if I were to replace them? (I read the Air's brake system is designed specifically for it).

the brake works fine and I haven't yet had any issues. I am not sure how they will work if you replace the tyres, but I can't see how the brakes would fail to work, it might just get hot, or the tyres might wear uneavenly. The tyres have really thick rubber and they will not puncture easily!

The brake on the Flex Air is a button brake rather than a full fender style, so you have a fixed back part that has a button you press with your foot to brake. Our brakes are of the best quality, and we also have spare parts should the brake become damaged. The tyres are a similar rubber to bicycle wheels, and you can replace the wheel with a polyurethane wheel to no detriment to the braking system.

Hi Paul, Yes it will be fine for your height. The Flex Air is 4.9kgs, which is an average weight for our adult scooters with the lightest being the Speed+ at 4.2kg and the heaviest the Suspension at 6.1kg (which would also be fine for you). Hope this helps!
Hello. I'm 41, female, 70 kg and I have a KETTLER ZERO 8, that is 8" wheels.
I use my step in places where bikes are too big, e.g. very large flee and antique markets.
I have a neck trauma and the impact of solid wheels is "killing" me.
I would like to continue my hobby as long as possible.
Is it a good idea to change the wheels of a Kettler Zero 8 with Microflex air wheels? (I'm not speeding).
Is it a better idea to buy a a new Microflex or another step with airwheels? Money is not a problem but is buying a fully new step necessary? (I'm sorry, I'm not native English).
Probably best to ask the shop, but if the wheels fit I'd simply change them to the rubber ones, I can't see why it wouldn't work

Yes you can! The axles will hold the wheels so you won't need anything else but the wheels.
