Pascoe's Gas, Water & Electrical

Got quoted to install a cooktop; the ‘tradesman’ aka salesman said that we need to upgrade our electrical circuits and it would cost us $2300. No way, so we went to another electrician and he said it’s absolutely unnecessary to do so and installed it for $200. The next day he calls and harasses us for not going with him, and tells us that if our house burns down it our fault. Just wow.

I recently required a replacement hot water system. Pascoes arrived for a quote on time and connected a temporary system to allow us to have hot water.(no charge).The quote was very competitive. The installation was very professionally completed the next day. The Pascoes team were courteous efficient and friendly. I have no hesitation in recommending Pascoes to family and friends. Excellent service.

My mother called Pascoes electrical because her power kept tripping out she was home alone and was worried. the electrian came and told her the house needed to be have some rewiring and a new electrical board install and wanted the money there and then on completion of works I have the itemized quote and th bill both hand written and no mention of GST. The account also states a total of 4 hours labour.Long story short I rang and spoke to them to no avail and would not give me a brake down of there costings
The cost of $5490 is absolutely discussing for a 90 year old pensioner. This company practices are unscrupulous And I am horrified they are still able to trade and continue to take advantage of unsuspecting people

This company are scammers. They massively overquote and pressure you into doing work that is not necessary. And signing and paying before they leave after quoting. I am sorry i did not read the reviews before calling them. They should be investigated and shut down. They are not professional plumbers.

Called to ask for a ball park figure to have washers changed in my shower taps and possibly the spindles. Not at all complicated.
I was told that the plumber has to visit my house in order to quote.
I explained that I didn’t want to take time off work to have a plumber visit to quote on changing two tap washers. Could she give an indicative price?...is it $100 an hr, or $100 per 15 mins...I have no idea. Still couldn’t help so I asked if a plumber could just call me first rather than waste the time of making a house call.
She gave a long, annoyed sigh so I apologised for inconveniencing her and hung up. Great receptionist. Plumbing services could be great but I’ll never know.

I called for a light to be fixed long story but the guy said my meter board needed replacing same company different guy comes to do the job that I later found out didn’t need doing cost me $3295 all because I wanted to hand over my house (yup it’s sold) safely angry that I didn’t have the money and that it didn’t need to be done

Received a quote to install a new recently purchased split system air con. Pascoes quoted $1750.00 for a connection to my meter box. Im not a complete fool, and said to the young man this cant be right, he assured me of the accuracy of his quote. I contacted ( Hipages ) on the web, and received three quotes within two days and i went with a company offering to do exactly the same job as Pascoes for $ 500.00 a saving of $1250,00, Im sending my Wife to Bali with the savings lol.

Quoted me $3000 for 3 new downlights, 2 new smoke alarms... the moneymaker part was the tradie told me I NEDEED a couple new RCDS because the law had changed.

He was right, the law did change at the start of the year but he forgot/refused/neglected to tell me it was for new builds only. My house was built 1996.
There hustlers not electricians.
Did not use them. Local guy I did use charged me $350 and told me I didnt need new RCDS.

Recommended this company to my daughter who had a seriously leaking shower tap....she booked online at 9.30am... no response at 12.00pm.. so called ... no online booking received!! Told they would be out between 3 and 6pm... no water all day and no A/C (evap). Told at 6pm that it would cost $2000.00 to repair... she refused their service and contacted another plumber who replaced the $40.00 part next morning.... why would anyone recommend this company!!!!!!!!!!

My experience tells me that this company consists of salesmen rather than tradesmen. I called them in to fix a leaking tap in the bathroom and ended up with a new set of taps in the bathroom and the kitchen. Had to call them back to address the original leak and they changed the washer but the original problem exists. The kitchen spout started splitting so I called them back and I was talked into anther new tap and something else. A total of $1200. Never again.

Had work done to exorbitant cost . Went to use oven which was working before they did there work on the house and meter box now 2 days later doesnt work and trips the breaker which also sparked when tripped. Son's new led light in his room started flickering ond now doesnt work so what is next to go. Do not in any way use this company run as fast as you can and dont get court like i did

This company is under investigation by consumer protection for dodgy practices. Check reviews and if do get them to quote on your job make sure to get at least an other opinion.

Grossly overcharged and scammed into believing we needed a whole new RCD centre and new hot water system when it clearly just needed a service. Similar work only worth half the price. $6,000 later and I'm kicking myself for agreeing to it all. Hindsight is a beautiful thing. Not to mention the fact that the job required two extra call-outs to fix earlier mistakes...24hrs later and I'm still without hot water. Wish I had've googled these reviews before I engaged their shonky services. Seems their standard practice. Shame on you, Pascoe's.

Nothing is that urgent that would even need to contemplate ringing them. Please do your research and verify what they tell you. Dont believe a word they say. I caught them red handed trying to deceive me

Over quoting and false advertising. Will be contacting the ACCC. Companies like this should not be allowed to get away with it. In future, I'll be using a reputable local plumber.

I wish I had a look at this website before engaging this company.
I have been totally ripped off !! They use contractors to do their work and charge a huge markup on it, and wants to charge your credit card for a fixed amount before the work is done by the contractor.
