Trying to decide on whether to get my son the 2 or 3 wheeler. He's about to turn 3, but has really good balance.. currently rides a balance bike. I want it to last him, he's also really tall. Recommendations? Thanks.

Hi Dom. If he is tall with good balance then it sounds like he is ready for a two wheeler. I would recommend going for the Sprite which is our entry level two wheeler, great for kids learning. It's foldable, has adjustable handle bars and will last him years. A great scooter for using on the school run too.

Hi. We (and our son) have loved the mini micro since the age of 3. He then graduated to the maxi-micro and also loved that. Hes now turning 7 during the week and has been talking about wanting a 2 wheeler as well. I see lots of reviews and positives about the sprite (and know lots of Adelaide shops have them in stock) but I'm interested to know about the Bullet. It's not in shops here and I can't find any/many) reviews about it.
Can you please provide some comments about it. The only difference I can see is the slightly larger wheels. Is there any other difference I have missed. Should I buy the sprite over the bullet?
We live near a national park so thought the slightly larger clearance would be more appropriate?
Looking forward to reading your response :)

Hi there,

The main difference between the Bullet and the Sprite is the larger wheels - and that's about it. The Bullet will be slightly faster because of this. You really wouldn't go wrong with either to be honest as the ground clearance isn't that different, and he won't know the difference unless he was riding them side by side.

Hope this helps!

Hi, I'm thinking of getting a scooter for my daughter's 4th birthday. She has a cheap 3 wheeler and rides it pretty well considering the two wheels are at the back and it's hard to balance. I'm wondering whether to try a maxi micro or a sprite. Has anyone tried a sprite for a 4 year old?

Hi Gingerbread,

Thanks for your enquiry. Our age ranges are purely guidance, and certainly not a requirement. My nephew was given a Sprite when he turned four and within no time he was flying. It all comes down to the confidence and ability of the individual, and often perseverance if they struggle initially. If you are still not sure, it would be worth popping into one of your local stockists, and seeing if your daughter can have a go on them both around the store to see which one she prefers. She can then see the colours available too! Check out our stockists here: http://www.microscooters.com.au/stockists

Hi, My daughter is almost 5 years old and has been riding your 3 wheeled scooter since she was two. She rides er dad's two wheeled scooter and is great on it but we want to get her her own two wheeled scooter. I can't decide whether to go for the Trix or the Sprite. I want her to have something stable and safe but that is fun and fast. She is not into stunts but she is a bit of a daredevil so will probably want to try that stuff at some point in the future. But I don't want to encourage it now as she is still little. Which would you recommend and why?

Hi
It's a tricky question whether or not to go for the stunt scooter for her. The Sprite gives a smoother ride and has an adjustable handlebar which can be more comfortable and make the Sprite grow with her for longer. If you think she's going to be doing stunts and tricks though then the Trixx would definitely be the one to go for as it is built to take this kind of punishment.
