Absolute crap
Set up two of these and they didn’t catch one mouse! I set up traditional traps too and they caught two mice. I set these up as directed (it’s not hard) however they did not do a thing! Absolute waste of money!
Purchased in March 2021.

Cheap plastic TRASH - broke after one use
1. Broke after it caught the first mouse - the mechanism holding the banger in place is very flimsy plastic, and seems designed to break (planned obsolescence!)
2. It's quite difficult to get your fingers inside it to place the bait
3. It's really just the same as the cheap $1.50 traps, but with a cover
I agree with another reviewer: STOP WASTING OUR PLANET'S RESOURCES WITH ~TRASH~!
I'd advise anyone reading reviews to see if the person writing the review has any other reviews - or has just written a review 'ESPECIALLY' to give a particular product a glowing review.

Best mouse trap
Best mouse trap I have ever used. I put a little dab of peanut butter on the tab and like others I have caught multiples during the night, even getting two at once. Easy to drop out latest victim without touching and resetting at same time. Sometimes it can be while before inspecting them so need to wash out dead mice, I have rinsed them in warmish/hot water and away we go again. Never broken one. Been using my original one for two years.

Best $7 spent!
Bought this one night and set the trap with a tiny piece of chocolate. The next morning woke up to find that it had caught a mouse. Throw the mouse away and set it again. Success! Caught another and throw it away. Yet again it worked. 3 mouse in the gap of about 6hours. Almost caught a 4th one but it ran away when it made eye contact with my bf. Didnt know that there were soo many mouse in the house.. its creepy and gross but So glad i bought this! Its So easy to use. Definitely going to by a couple more of these traps for Different rooms

Trap works very well
I was hit with a Wimmera mouse pre plague. I had mice every where, found a couple of packets of the old style wooden traps and had them set every where and by the time I had baited them it was time to rebait them, not reset them. They were useless. I went shopping and bought 4 different types of trap (plus another type later) which I will review all here.
The Mortein trap is excellent, I have not given it 5 stars because it is difficult to bait. They are also the most expensive of the traps I tried. Once baited it is very easy to set. I ...Read more

Instant landfill - a waste of our Earth's resources.
This trap worked perfectly the first time, however repeated use is not an option. The flimsy interior mechanism broke the third time I set the trap. If you don't mind wasting our planets precious resources then you will like this trap, as for me, I prefer products with a sensitive eco footprint and this product simply FAILS.

Saved my sanity
I hate mice, I have a bad phobia on these lil critters. Tried to find the best trap in the market that is safe for kids as I have curious toddlers. Thankfully, found Mortein Secure Mouse trap at Woolies for $7 a piece. Bought 4 pieces and Caught 11 the first night, emptying them when I hear that snap. So satisfying to get them one by one. The other brand that I bought didn't even catch a single mouse.
Bought 10 more for the next day, wanting to rid ourselves of the mice infestation we had this autumn.

Mixed reviews. I want to use peanut butter, but how do I then clean the small bait holder?

Hi Bob, I used peanut butter in my traps. I cleaned them using a bottle brush and a sink full of soapy water. However after two washes the mechanism broke. It appears these traps a flimsy and not built to last very long. I have since bought "the Big Cheese" trap and they are still working several uses later. I hope this helps. Kathryn
Hi Kathryn,
So kind of you to answer and thanks for your cleaning advice. I have put the trap out three nights in succession with no luck. I am not impressed with them and, on your suggestion, I’ll try the Big Cheese Trap.
Many thx again,
Bob
