Bad taste

published

I bought a slab of mount Franklin. It was not the whole slab but three or four bottles were terrible tasted bitter and made my mouth numb. I rang the company but they wouldn't let me send the bottles that wrte affected they wanted unopened bottles. But as I said most of the slab were ok. So how could they test the bad ones I'm totally at a loss. Will never buy again. Which is unfortunate because I only drink bottled water.

very ACIDIC, how weird!

published

As you'd know, Mt Franklin, as a huge company sells a lot of these spring waters. Have you tried the other version bottles of these types? They taste like chemical and when I drank it, it was like drinking something toxic or something very acidic. It was bad. It felt like something was tearing the throat, like LITERALLY! so be careful and stay safe. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH ME :)

Gross, very hard and flat tasting.

published

I'm not fond of tap water, so I've always bought bottled water of various prices. Evian tastes the best to me because it's soft and easy to guzzle - I wish it tasted the worst considering how much it costs lol. Mount Franklin on the other hand is terrible unless it's bone-chillingly cold and I'm dying of thirst. It's very hard tasting and leaves an unpleasant taste in my mouth! I'd much rather drink tap water over this waste of money. At least Evian actually tastes good for what you pay for it.

I drink spring water to get away from the acidity of tank water, I just purchased some Mt. Franklin spring water and the pH test says it's more acidic than my tank water, what a waste of money, can I have refund Mt. Franklin?

New lid- very disappointing

published

I have no problem with the water itself, but the lid is incredibly hard to open. Reluctantly, I had to ask the young service station assistant to help me and he admitted he also has trouble opening them. I can't open it, so I just won't buy it.

It tastes yuck

published

Has a very chemical, almost generic tap water-like taste to it. Do we trust it to be spring water? If so, is it contaminated spring water? LACK OF BPA bottles too!!! Shame. Move with the times for goodness sake.

10 minutes to open my water

published

Finding it very difficult to drink MF water as it takes so long to get the cap off. Heaven help an elderdey person if they wanted a drink and have purchased your water.....dehydration would set in. Not only are the caps hard to open but you also have to hold the bottle firmly causing the water to gush out if you are lucky enough to have broken the seal.

Why do you make life so difficult.

I really like the taste when it's crisp and cold on a summers day but don't think about leaving it in room temperature for a day because then it tastes revolting :( fun fact whenever I boil it to cook my noodles my noodles don't cook but just sink??? I think mt franklin needs to be made in glass bottles

published

Hi i love mt franklin drink its very nice been years drinking it. But i think u guys need to change the bottle? No more plastic bottles there's to many chemical's and it needs to stop. ive stopped buying mt franklin because im waiting til u bring out glass bottles its healthier. Yes it might cost abit more but im sure the company has the money to do 1 year trial of the glass bottle!! With bigger easier round lids. And see how many ppl will be happy. STILL WATER, AND SPARKLING very nice i will taste fresher and no health worries to others. PLASTIC REALLY NEEDS TO STOP. Thanks for reading. kind regards michael

Water great, caps just..

published

Been drinking this water for May many years, loved it but your lids/ newish caps as just horrible!!!
To be honest with you, I might stop buying as each and every time, does not matter where I am, how I am, water just spills out the top upon first opening it, it really is ridiculous. The money you guys saved on manufacturing the new caps has cost me, in spills water - get your job together guys. Not sure why I keep purchasing, just now in my van and opened up a new bottle and again, spilled water but this time, all over my new laptop! You guys need to send me out a years worth of supplies for this error and fire the designer who thought this was a good idea!

If I wanted to drink tap water

published

I'd get it from the kitchen tap. It's quite literally the worst tasting, supposedly natural spring water around. Having grown up drinking tank water, I know from the taste alone of this product that's it's not what the marketing says it is.

Middle road

published

Mount Franklin is freely available (corner shops/garages etc) so I have drank it many times due to convenience. I don't have a big complaint but does taste slightly devoid or slight cardboard taste if that makes sense. On the couple of occasions when I bought a multipack of small bottles from the supermarket I did not like the flimsy plastic. It feels cheap and untrustworthy for chemical leaching perhaps... and makes loud popping noises if I leave a bottle out of the fridge. I prefer 'Snowy Mountain Spring Water' in the sturdy blue bottle.

New Bottle Electrolytically Ionises The Water

published

The original Mount Franklin water bottle is the most purest water I ever tasted, now it tastes like that crap water Frantelli where the plastic composite ionises the water and tastes metallic, when I saw the new Mount Franklin water I thought trendy but at work on hot day and drank it I thought what have they done, my first thought it's filtered water then after a week it occurred to me it's the new plastic container your product tastes like crap hasn't anyone told you pure water is so easily tainted, I might as well drink tap water. Sincerely yours, a Mount Franklin drinker for over 5 years.

Has to be the worst I've had

published

I can not stand tap water, so I love to check out all the bottled water brands, I must say I think I've had nearly every brand on the market, I have to say from all the brands I've had in Australia, Europe, US and China, Mt Franklin would have to be the worst tasting water ever, I really can work out why so many people drink this, it has a really foul taste. I sometimes go without water if it's the only water available, I wish more shops would have a bigger range or better choice of water.
nothing about it
The worst tasting water I've had ever
