A great idea.... but
We bought this so we could take our 3 yr old and newborn out. The concept is a fantastic one... however, the quality of the actual scooter itself and rideability falls short. Our older child much prefers the manouevrability and speed of our other scooter. Plus once you've paid for the attachment the total price is $150. When attached to the pram ( a MB swift in our case) the scooter is also right where you want to place your feet so you must walk with a wide gait. This might not be such a problem with the bigger prams or ones with the extension...
Read more bar. We have several friends whose kids got sick of the ride on scooter within weeks of purchase. My advice would be borrow one or buy second hand. It is good for leisurely trips ie visiting the zoo/shopping mall etc where the older one can get on or off as they please and you are not pushed for time. Public transport or serious walking? forget it..... Great concept A little pricey and not the best scooter if your child really wants to ride fast.

It's great
I've been using the MB freerider for over a year now and my daughter loves it. My kids are 4 and 2 and I use it with the Urban Jungle.
First of all, I would not use this in place of a double stroller unless you're confident your child won't run off. I bought this when my daughter was 3 and had somewhat grown out of her running off phase but it still took a while for her to get used to it.
My 4yo daughter generally likes the scooter, although it took some getting used to. I really had to force her at first because she resisted but I pers...
Read moreevered and now she asks to ride it. At first she would sometimes bump her mouth on the bar but now she's learned to anticipate the bumps and I also try to go slower over uneven ground. My 4yo generally walks most places now but is a dawdler which irritates me immensely, and I love the scooter for that purpose. I have even done some light jogging (over straight flat ground) with the scooter on and she thinks it's great fun. I wouldn't recommend it for serious runners. I have also used it in shopping centres and in some dirt road and it's great, providing the ground isn't too uneven. I also think this scooter would be great to use with the MB Duo if you had three children. On the downside, the scooter does affect the strollers manoeuvrability, but it's fine once you get used to it. I found it easier to put the scooter further to one side but it took some time getting used to walking to one side. It also makes the pram feel quite heavy so be careful when turning or when going across sloping ground. It's also a little cumbersome when it's folded up and a little fiddly to connect and disconnect but this is a minor fault in my opinion. Since having children my whole life is cumbersome and fiddly so it just goes with the territory!!!! The pram cannot be folded with the scooter attached and sometimes I forget to disconnect it before folding, but that is my fault rather than the scooters.- 16 reviews

From toddler board to scooter!
My little boys love the freerider, no other toddler board on the market can be removed from the stroller and used as a scooter! It is ingenious. I have two sets of connectors one to use on Mountain buggy strollers and another to use on different strollers such as bugaboo cameleon
two products in one, toddler board and scooter
Questions & Answers
Is my swift too small to use the freerider?
I just purchased this but once connected to the pram I can't turn the pram at all! It seems like the back wheel of the scooter is locked, is there anyway for it to free maneuver like the front wheel of the buggy?
Yes you have to put the back wheel of the Freerider into stroller board mode, you should refer to the instructions or MB website for how to do this.
Thank you for the prompt reply kst082!
You just need to flip the wheel out of freeride mode. If you are having a hard time, please don't hesitate to get ahold of us at [email protected]

Does anyone know if a micro scooter would attach to the freerider adaptor on a MB Terrain?
