there should be no problem doing that. At 1.5 years old though, it is pretty safe to be giving your little one normal cereal which will save you $$$ and depending what you choose, will probably be more nutritious for your little one - Hope that helps

Hi Dils, it’s Megan from the Nestlé baby Careline. For best results, we recommend using boiled water that has been cooled to a lukewarm temperature. Alternatively, you can substitute the water with breast milk.

Hi Sony, it’s Christine from the Nestlé Careline. Thanks for your question. From 6 months of age, 1-2 serves of NESTLE Cerelac Wheat per day is suitable. However, as all babies grow at a different pace, consult your healthcare professional for advice as to when to introduce Cerelac and how it would be best suited to your baby’s diet. If you would like to discuss CERELAC further with us please contact the Nestlé Careline on 1800 468 8736.

Hi zanothando, it’s Karen from Nestlé Careline. Thanks for raising this. Breast milk has all the nutrients your baby requires up until 6 months of age. Experts such as paediatricians recommend babies don’t start solids until they are around 6 months for a number of reasons. Please talk to your baby’s healthcare professional for advice on when it is appropriate to introduce solids. If you would like to discuss CERELAC further with us please contact the Nestlé Careline on 1800 468 8736.

Hi Like Karen said breast milk should be enough for a 5 week old bub. I highly recommend not giving him anything else. Go and see your early childhood nurse or Dr if he isn't satisfied.

No way. Don't even think about it.. He s just 5 weeks.. U can't even imagine if giving him cerelac.. Plz give only breast milk to babies till the completion of 6 months.. After that u may start giving cerelac but i feel giving fruit puree to babies after 6 months vl b good.. Try giving apple banana puree, ragi porridge later at seven months u can start giving cerelac to ur baby

CERELAC Rice

it means I have to add nestle rice ceralac to boiled cool water and make a smooth paste and serve it to baby then?
can I start it when my baby will get 5month old or 6month old??

Yes but you have to look for the right signs that your baby is ready for solids. These include watching with interest when you eat. Open mouth when spoon is near it's mouth. And most importantly the tounge reflex needs to be gone. This is when the baby pushes food out of their mouth when it's put in. If they do this then they are not ready for solids yet. Hope this helps and if in doubt please speak to a healthcare baby nurse.

CERELAC Rice

Hi
How to make rice cerlac in milk?
I am thinking 2procedures,please let me know are these OK OR not.......mix ceralac direct in breast milk or formula feed.
2) mix first in water and after making a smooth paste mix breast milk or formula feed while serving to a baby?

Can I use homemade powder of brown rice and serve it to a baby with above given procedures?
Thanks and regards
Rajni

No you can't add cerlac to milk its a solid food only and it suitable from 4 months old. It should not be used as a milk or formula thickener. Please consult your healthcare professional for advise. Also do not give brown rice powder to a baby as only baby cereals have the correct amount or viatmins and extra iron a baby needs once it starts solids.
